  1. Gator: What a fool! That is so awesome. I can not believe I typed that. I seriously almost spit coffee everywhere. I'm still laughing. I may be no Galileo but I should've at least gotten that right:lol:
  2. Wow, I didn't see this as a necessary attraction for educational purposes What's next, the sun is the center of the universe and not Earth... Heresy I say! I can't wait for Photos with the Dinos. Honestly, those complaining are simply proving that they don't understand marketing, finance or the amusement industry (stopping there out of courtesy). Not that I'm an expert but, this is probably going to be a cash cow for CF with much less effort and investment, on their part, than other equally lucrative additions.
  3. My daughter...and therefore my family, are very excited. We love our trips. God family fun and empty ques during those hot days... Of course followed by play in the water:) I typed something else first but... I guess if nothing new is a deal breaker for someone that's their deal and hope you enjoy some vacationing or trips somewhere but I can't wait to go back to HW!
  4. I won a Rasta banana at KD
  5. Dave: I see what your saying but that actually kinda made the ride for me. I love that run to the back of the spaghetti bowl and the following turnaround. I didn't really like the thing till my third lap cuz it seemed like a hack job layout. WRONG! I like the oddball thing of combining a giga with a twisty. The pacing is solid and I couldn't care less about the scenery (it really seems weird to not hear crying about lack of theming) It really reminds me of high performance RC cars for some reason. It's just fun whipping around so quickly
  6. Do I see undercarriage lights? How sweat would an awesome lighting package look. Coney mall, old time feel...hmm Edit: I Iooked at that pic again and felt a little place in my heart open up just for WindSeeker... hope I end up liking it:lol:
  7. I find the best way to renew your Platinum Pass is online with processing at Kings Dominion's opening day:lol: We didn't do automatic renew because it was more expensive. My group also had several glitches processing and KD but staff was amazing. I complimented and thanked them all individually and gave a good report to the supervisor, who was also great. David, hoping for another walk-on opening weekend next year!
  8. Instant Classic. Awesome Job and thanks for the laughs.
  9. For comparison... if that's worth anything, CP has about 3 sections up and opens 5/14.
  10. I'll probably head for Firehawk. I haven't really had a good ride on it yet and I cannot bring myself to wait in a slow moving line for it.
  11. Well then, I'll look forward to seeing you at KD... and CP EDIT: to add. I see wut your saying GYK. Having both areas open almost opens the whole park and would require a lot of supervision to make sure people don't run around in unopened areas. I'm hoping they go back to Rivertown for ERT next year... I was also hoping the same thing about Ride Warriors for this year...
  12. I've got a ton of good things to say about the employees at KD too. We did online renew of 4 KI platinum passes. Entered the gate with our printout and had no difficulty at processing. The plan is for a Carowinds Platinum next year. Variety is the spice of life!
  13. I agree with Angie's report. I got 22 laps in cuz it was walk on every time I went and... well it's just that awesome. It may knock Maverick out of my #1 spot. Re-rideability seems to be the issue. I did six laps with no more than a station wait, got a drink, and did another 5... only stopping because the park closed. My friend (6'3 male) said 3 laps is about his limit. His girlfriend said the same. I greyed out every time except when I clinched my butt and abdomen. How I like to ride: As close to the back as possible; close your eyes in the pullout and let yourself enjoy the greyout; open your eyes as you start to catch airtime on the 2nd hill and you will have the most euphoric airtime ever. I wouldn't do this until you're familiar with the coaster because it is crazy intense. Definitely take your first laps clinching so you can get a feel for it and enjoy the experience. It's an oddball coaster because of how they combined a Giga with a twister but... after I got over the weirdness I realized it is absolutely everything I've ever wanted from a coaster...except a launch:unsure: I love the layout and pacing. My favorite section is the run from the spaghetti bowl to the second 180 degree turnaround. It goes through these banking curves and dips right by the ground before doing a barrel roll into the turnaround. The episode on Burt the Conqueror (on Netflix too) that has I305 has some awesome footage of this part.
  14. I LOVE Kings Dominion. I also MISS KI... and CP and Hershey. Who cares. I can see the KD's skyline from my hotel room and I've got 3 1/2 more hours there tomorrow.

  15. Thew vintage photography makes KC look a lot like a model.
  16. Yeah but, I;d rather have a revamped dark ride. Just a better use of the money for me personally.. and I am a Scooby fan. I love Planet Snoopy. As for it's relevance to today's youth, my 2 1/2 yr old is now a huge Snoopy fan and calls him by name anytime she sees him.
  17. Until the train comes roaring through ... then it feels like a fallouot shelter or something.
  18. I know so many people that are crazy excited about the WindSeekers. You should hear kids at the elem school I work at talk about it.
  19. TopGun #36 is an awesome shot. It just tells such a story... on that that evolves every time I look at that pic. That my friend, is true art!
  20. I really don't care if the Timberliners never come. Voyage is rougher than I like but I'll still ride it 10 times in a row... well, maybe 8. Based off my experiences there, Holiday World can only get better. My trips have been so thoroughly enjoyable that HW gets a fanboy pass, from me, on any bad feelings about the Timberliners.
  21. I would like to add to that discussion as I too remember it being discussed. Surf dog is awesome. Totally under-rated. Get a seat on the outside of one of the ends and enjoy.
  22. ^Thanks. She had posted something like that on another site when screamscape got word of them ordering PTC cars. I just couldn't remember where I read it.
  23. Vortex: not really. If it's not a coaster, certain types of people are going to be ticked as if they got stolen from. Sigh- the new "who just had to"
  24. ^That is a horrible idea. Why would it be better to build a coaster... oh why did I say that? I'm sorry but I doubt you have much experience running an amusement park and it's obvious that you don't quite understand the economics involved. Gibson, trying to be at least polite.
