I did not know counting crossovers was a stat for coasters? -
I find that I dream more of KI or other parks more when I am getting withdraws. The off season is the worst, although talking to other enthusiasts on this site has helped the last 2 off seasons with the amount of KI dreams I have!

Last night I dreamed I was at Holiday World with several KIC'ers. We were going to ride Voyage, the queue was quite full and they were not letting any more people get in line. They were testing the Timberliners and we began to watch them being tested. Someone from the park said they were having trouble with a part in the wheels and pivoting system and were not ready to be used. We then saw another train exit the station, but it was not the Voyage train or ravage, it was another new train who's cars looked like bumper boats and the logo on the train said Pro Slide. Pro slide had created a train model and they were testing it on Voyage as well. Last thing I remember people were leaving the queue due to it not being open.

So what is your favorite seat on FD?
-
Have you taken a 1-1 ride? I am always a back seat type of rider, but on FD this is where I want to ride.

Last season I would have picked Beast, but I seem to really enjoy rides on The Racer this season more than a day Beast ride. Night time ride is The Beast. I chooses RFYLCB due to the fact you ride by yourself or own party and is the most relaxing of the three, and you get just enough wet to cool off.

Nice TR, Thanks for sharing. I remember reading on HW's FB page the week before the holiday they predicted Sunday to be the slowest day of the 4 day weekend. I wonder if they were right?

I'm confused. What do lights being off or on in stores have to do with a generator in the parking lot? Or rides being in operation, How I read it hamoperator, implies "Don's statement is false due to not seeing rides in operation, a generator in the parking lot, and light still being off in stores. " Don stated the power was restored to these places in 3 hrs, that could mean via a generator as well. Whether they decided to turn light on in that store is up to them. Just because you saw no lights on does not make Don's statement false. The generator was only lighting the parking lot at the entrance to the gold lot at the cross walk, the stores had no power at 11:30pm when I left. The problem was not fixed in three hours. There was still a loss of a phase going on. another post on here indicates that upto 24 hours, there was still power loss and problems going on. My point is alot of guessing by people not there to expierance it; and it was not 3 hours. There was no restore that night, and the only generator viewed was the one I spoke of, were there other generators running the rides? Don't know; but wouldn't be a bad idea for the park to invest in. The park was running on one phase. My point was people made assumptions by what they observed only, not knowing what was really going on. Example: Guest: Look, that store does not have it's lights on so a phase must be out. Possible Reality: Power was restored to store as reported by KI, but the A/C unit needs reset to get it running again. IT is having issues getting the register server up, so they still can't ring anyone out. KI's decision at the time: No need to turn on lights until every infrastructure that is required to run that store be in full operation. Something else that supports my point. I see yet again you are coming to conclusions by what you saw, not on facts. "The park was running on one phase." Who in the park told you this?

Great report and welcome to KIC! If you want to try and meet up with any KIC'er in the park on the day you are going don't forget to visit the Meetup's page and post when you are going!

Awesome report, glad you had a great day!

Thanks for the post selective!

Can DH define most? My family was there until 11:30 pm; I seen first hand what was and was not running, and cannot agree with his statement. Just cause power was restored does not mean the ride was running!!
-
So they are deciding how they are going to "credit" those customers who came up and made complaints specifically about the power outage. Good for KI!
-
I will say it again, this is how it was handled. Does my family have to go on national news to prove this? I did not argue or say anything about how it was handled or about the experience your family had. The point I was trying to make was that GYK182 was making assumptions about managements actions and intentions for the situation, when only those managers know for sure. The end result, as your family found out was bad and should have been handled differently.
-
You are making a lot of assumptions here and getting bent out of shape over this, and you are not even sure how it was handled, or what upper management was even thinking on how to handle it. We all know how the media twists things to make it worse. Regardless of how it was executed, the intentions of upper management could have been the opposite of how it turned out. They might be chewing lower managements butts out right now for this situation, and coming up with a better plan for next time, we don't know! The damage is done for those people this time, but how they rectify this issue for next time also speaks waves as well. Other poster said they were handing out water and being very apologetic, opposite of what we have heard! Were you there? Did you talk to management and get their feelings on this situation? I am not defending KI here, for I have already posted what I think should have happened earlier in the thread. Unless you can back up your statements these are all just assumptions on what management was thinking at the time, but no one really knows but them.

A few weeks ago I only noticed jerkiness in the last 5 to 6 swings before it stoped. Seemed like a brake issue then to me. The rest of the ride seemed normal. That ride anyway!
-
Kinda what I was thinking. Reminds me of Sam in Transformers 2, "Repeats itself, Repeats itself, Repeats itself." HA!
-
That makes sense C_J.

A certain poster here has done just that. Hint: It was not IndyGuy!

I agree Robbie, but I think it should have only been people that were going to leave due to the outage. I do not think it would be fair to get a refund or another ticket and then spend the rest of the evening in the park, especially due to the deals as you say and the park being open till midnight.
