  1. KI did not get much of this story on their website. Very cool for them to receive the award! http://www.pulsejour...ber-967770.html

I see Halloween time as an opportunity to enjoy/ role-play/ experience something that cannot be experienced during any other time of year. Can that be considered a double standard? Sure. Is it acceptable in July? No. Is it acceptable in October, IMO I don't see why not. I agree Brown, I have not made it to the park yet this month, but from what I have been hearing from KIC'ers at haunt so far is things like park is packed, Beast queue totally full, busy place but worth it. KI reports standing room only for HPB show the other night. It sounds like KI has a winner and it seems it is just some enthusiasts that are having issues with things, but not the GP or it would not be so successful! I do understand markr's concern about the safety, hopefully his concern will not be a real issue.

At least there is more than six flags up there. Indyguy, who now looks for those types of funnies at the parks.
  4. Awesome pic Kirk, thanks for sharing. Keep them coming! I now want to go see some of these shows which I had no interest in seeing before!
  5. Some have been more vocal than others and feel stronger about their opinions, but don't feel anyone is fighting over this. If you want to see a fight go watch the midgets bleed. I for one will probably not be watching, but I am also not going to let that ruin my fun at KI with other attractions and rides either! Everyone has their opinions and ideas just like me, for that I will respect you even if I don't agree!
  6. I like this plan Gordon! I can not believe we have almost 20 pages and close to 300 posts with a lot of those posts being complaints about an event that has not had one show yet. I do respect peoples opinions, but I do believe that a lot of these are premature and don't think anyone can form a true opinion until they have seen the show and have seen the crowd types that show up. I for one have no interest in seeing a midget bleed, but it is not going to stop me from going to KI, slow down my love for the park, or my support for the park. I sort of thought that was one of the purposes of KIC? People who come together to show support for a park that they love and cherish even if they make or made a bad choice. I believe this was KI thinking outside the normal entertainment realm and sort of put things on the line to bring in different entertainment for the guests. For that I have to applaud them even if I am or am not in favor of the event personally. I will wait to form my opinion on this situation once we have seen how things go and how the park reacts to them.
  7. Did you see it spinning on the way up? That would help answer the question!
  8. I do the same thing, for that is how we roll!
  9. While not speaking directly to the Six Flags scenario, I actually beleive that cutting out layers of management can be a good thing. What is critical to do, however, is make sure that this pushes both the Responsibility AND Accountability down to the right level and get real clear about who owns what. If done correctly, it can be empowering for the employee, can simplify things (like decision making), and be a positive for company and customer. Oh I agree as well, but it seems they might be cutting a little to much and relying on less experienced people to run the park. I Hope I am wrong!
  10. Sounds like it's fate is written in stone! : )
  11. I would be willing to bet the same reason the rest of us are obsessed with roller coasters! I think it is great we have a member that posts about KI E! Something a lot of us don't enjoy as much, but really should be included at KIC. Since after all this site is about KI!
  12. I just hope their plans dont impact the parks in a negative way, which I think the Six Flags plan will. You can't cut out 2 levels of management and expect things to run as well.
  13. Are we going to see a similar changes like another chain that numbers it's flags announced last week?
  14. Your own, I trust? Oh, the irony.... Actually not, I would of went to KI if I had not been booked for this event.
  15. DJ'ing a birthday party, wish I could be there. Great night to be at the park.
  16. Sounds fun, will be waiting for live updates. Thanks Kirk.
  17. I'll look into it. The mobile site should automatically display from any iOS, Blackberry, or Android browser regardless of if you are logged in or not. Worked as mobile on my droid before and after logging in.
  18. we've had to know big changes were on the way.
  19. Let us know how the show is KIRK.
  20. If you ever sent them a note about they you might be right!
  21. You hit it on the head there! Might be why they see increased attendance year after year!
  22. That seems like a lot for 2011! Holiday World, seems to always come up with great improvements for their park!
  23. I like Rivertown Junction. For just a few dollars more than other places you get an all you can eat buffet. Lots of choices, refills, desert! I always go here especially when I am by myself.
  24. Thanks for the PTR Danielle! I am not interested in midgets bleeding, but I am itching to get to KI during the haunt season. My favorite time to come to the park.
  25. Looks great Dane! Thanks!
