Animals in the park
Anyone have ideas of what animals come in the park at night. I am sure skunks, groundhogs, and other small animals, but what about like deer? I think it would be funny to come to KI and see a deer drinking out of the DB splashdown!

Overnight in the Park
If there were motion sensors animals that walk the park at night would set them off. There is a good topic. "What reports of animals have been seen in the park." I am sure dear might make their way into the park at night?

Timberliners Delayed
Took the family last week and did not even make it into 4th of July section or water park. Not a big park, but plenty to keep you busy!

Boo Blasters on Boo Hill
Yes, but those can still be ridden, just a different view! I think you won the correct lottery!

Timberliners Delayed
There are many posters on there who have done just that. I have ridden it like 5 times in a row a few without getting off and 5 was enough for a while, but would have rode it again later had I had the opportunity!

Were you that poster?

Great Day On the Beast!
Sounds like you had a fun morning. Wish I lived close enough to be able to do that! Thanks for sharing!

Overnight in the Park
See now, to me that would be a reason to stay the night and see what happens and investigate, but I am just crazy like that!

Kings Island Dreams
I had a dream the other night that they decided to tear down SOB and a bunch of KIC'ers had a meet up to pay our respects. We got to see it start to be tore down. Very sad dream for I saw the wrecking ball hit the structure and it was heartbreaking, fan of SOB or not.

Overnight in the Park
Still have not heard anyone say how the park is checked at night? I am assuming there is overnight security walking/ridding around the park?

Boo Blasters on Boo Hill
I was disappointed as well, for when I took the family a few weeks ago for the first time this season I had raved to my wife about this specific effect and it was not on. A week before that I took a cousin of mine, even then it was not on. I am guessing a fog machine is not at the top of the list once daily operations start, but still a little disappointing that it has not been fixed as of yet. I don't see this ride ever being any type of fail, especially epic. I understand liking one theme over another, but how about we appreciate that fact we have a ride there at all.

Delirium
I rode it about 2 weeks ago and the braking seemed weird to me then. It was quite jerky coming to a stop which I had never noticed before, so you might be on right track with your brake idea.

Most Beautiful Ride
I think it's to make the lift hill stand out from the rest of the ride. From what I have hear Red and Yellow are suppose to make you hungry. Not sure how that works or if it has been debunked, but McDonald's believed whomever said it. Maybe you are to ride DB and wanna snack afterwards?

Son of Beast
I would like to know what type of lights they used to look at the track? It amazes me to this day that they can inspect a ride of this size, in the dark, in just a few hours and not miss something. Amazing!

Frustrating Afternoon (6-21-2010)
I also had a frustrating time Monday at KI. Living in Indy I had a total of 4 hrs of driving and took the kids for the first time this season. My son Korbin enjoyed the park for about 3 hrs before it started storming. The 3 month old did enjoy her ride on Boo Blasters! This was in no way KI's fault due to weather man reporting nothing about this storm, but I spent a lot of hrs driving to get rained out. My son had a good time, but wish he could have gotten more rides in.

Beast Challenge
I do not remember seeing these till after the Math and Science Days so I doubt M & S days were an option? To bad we can not ask about these in the 5@5!

Behometh vs Diamondback
It has its advantages. This past Saturday, about an hour after the park opened, the line was 45 minutes, yet the SRL was near the top of the stairs. I went through the SRL twice and got two rides in less than 20 minutes. There are definitely times when it is advantageous to use. So many times this year, however, we've seen the SRL line all the way down to the bottom of the stairs even when the main line is 15, 10, or only 5 minutes long. It just goes back to the fact that you simply need to be aware of both how long both the SRL and main queues are, because we've found that in our visits this year (about 25 this year) that the SRL is usually the least desirable option on days when the main queue is less than 20 minutes. YMMV. On a topic related note I'd like to give kudos to the DB crew working late yesterday. They were moving trains through as consistently fast as I've ever seen without it being chaotic. During one of our rides we were on a train just coming through the last helix with the train behind us already at the very top of the lift hill. It's always fun to see the line move that quickly! Thank you for continuing to work exceptionally well, especially at the end of a long day! If I want another ride I always look at the SRL line when coming into the final brake run to see how long it is. As you state, if it is at the bottom of the stairs I always use the main queue line. I figure I am also helping the SRL when I get up there as a single rider.

Advertising Signs for Amusement Parks
Interesting. I like hearing different advertising strategies. I have heard radio commercials for IB in Indy, but only advertising their season pass, not really promoting the park's rides and entertainment. HW and CF parks have FB and interact with their fans IB does not.
