I really want to see it this year, especially after the praise it had gotten last season. Might have to take advantage of this.

I heard Luminosity was pretty cool. I think there are enough shows at the park, but the stage production is really cool.

Its only natural. Speculation keeps things interesting.

The issue with movie mazes, you have to pick good movies. Quarantine was a terrible movie to begin with. Never saw Grudge, but if you were to do it, you have to choose the best.

IndyGuy4KI's Opening Day Interview with Don Helbig
XjoshhyX replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island
Great interview. Don is a great guy! -
I have no qualms with this to be honest. Sounds fair enough for the park to still turn profit to returning visitors year by year. Its not breaking the bank, plus you can collect the new cups.

Well if we can add old coasters that are gone, you could squeeze SOB at #3 and move the others down, and throw King Cobra at my #6 or so.

I guess I worded that badly, I didn't mean take away as in get rid of it, but rather change it. Not a huge fan of the black underneath, but maybe it looks better in person. Either way, as far as the fountain goes, I don't like change in that area haha.

I mean the main style of the street. It has always had the same vibe to it. I'm thinking of it from my perspective I think. Since I was a kid its always been the way I see it now, being 24 now I love looking at the area and remembering some of the good times with family and friends over the years. The fountain itself is just Iconic to me though, I see no reason to take away something that recognizable to almost anyone who has visited.

Very clean, good colors, good navigation. I love the touch of using Google maps images too. Can't wait to see progress you make on this page.

What? Last year's Haunt sucked more than any other year. I really agree with this. I am much more into the Paramount years of the Haunt. i thought the theming then was outstanding and haunts were actually scary. I didn't even feel the need to go into a haunt last season because of the reactions and disappointed faces I saw coming out of them. I think we can get a majority of people to agree that the Haunt is slowly falling in entertainment other than the late close for more rides! Nothing like a 1 am ride on The Beast. I would really like to see some more "adult" and gorier haunts put in. From everyone that went to the haunts last year, it sounded very uniform and what you would expect. They need to get them more exciting. Heck if you have to, get a partnership with a movie company (like Universal Studios, I understand that is a different deal though), and theme some haunts after movies. Can you imagine a Hills Have Eyes haunt that goes through the woods!

I think it would be a mistake to do this to the fountains. I would really enjoy that staying the same, as has most of Int'l Street. Its an iconic walk that shouldn't be changed imho.

I would assume Great Wolf Lodge and maybe the hotel right down the road (I can never remember the name, isn't it KI Motel or something)? Not sure though, this is actually the first i'm hearing about it.

Oh trust me, we will. I know how it feels to be in line and see the ride ops let every single FL person on before me. Its not a huge deal for me because of how often I go to the park (usually 20-30 times a year), but its still can be a pain nonetheless. I really want to get it at CP because of Gatekeeper, I plan on riding that thing double digit amounts when we go. Trying to figure out a good Monday or Tuesday to go up for CP, preferably mid-season. I'm trying to remember in my head the normal time I go most years when I visit.

A lot of passholders (as seems to always be the case with opening day) AND all the runners from the Color Me Pink 5K. THAT was the problem. I would hazard a guess that adding all the 5K runners to ERT doubled or possibly even tripled the total number of guests participating in ERT. Beat me to it, I did hear from a lot of friends that went that they were letting all of the runners in for ERT too.

Really a themed area that actually holds the theme would be great in this park. Like was mentioned in this thread (i think), CF really doesn't "theme" per say.

Happy to hear that it's running fine. Kind of weird that the seatbelt a were taken out, but I'm assuming some upgrade was made to the latching system.

I just wish fun perks was around still, I plan on eating there a decent amount since a friend of mine serves there.
-
Maybe they'll get Ghost Adventures to investigate the ghost of SOB. That would be more entertaining than those Ghost Hunter guys. I wonder if a ride can have a ghost.

The menu I saw was very good prices for a sit down restraunt in an amusement park. I was expecting ridiculous pricing, SI that impressed me. Good selection from what I saw on the menu posted up here also.

Welcome to the boards man! I would love to hang out sometime at the park, always good to meet fellow enthusiasts. I am more of a Mon-Wed guy tho, idk why, just kind of established that the last few seasons and it seems to work well as far as beating lines and getting a lot of rides in.

I guess the most themed is BLSC, but for me, AE takes the cake. One of my favorite rides since I was a youngin', can't go wrong with it.
-
Not a huge waterpark guy, I love swimming, but i'd rather be on a roller coaster. Soak City I'd say though, since I was more of a surf cincinnati kind of kid growing up.

You bring up a very valid point. We'll have to search for another name for that section of the ride.
