Please don't give them any more ideas....it's already annoying lol

No hints at future attractions?

Not necessarily, maybe he didn't want people to send false narratives based on a simple error.

They didn't say it would be ready by December for testing. Tony Clark said: Source: https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog/september-construction-update That's a tongue and cheek comment from Tony Clark....not to mention no where did he say the word December. No matter how long the project has been going on.....the trains will be ready when they are ready, when they are scheduled to be ready and when they are scheduled to arrive to the park per contracts not because the placement of the final steel is finished and/or the electrical systems are done....which I know those probably won't be done until the beginning of the year with the conversations I've had with the folks at IOE.

Sorry, my fingers are crossed for another friend hoping for the Haunt wedding!

I had never heard of the Viewing until just a few minutes ago. Lol

Per https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2017/september/halloween-haunt-returns-to-kings-island-for-6-weekends?page=1 the following will have Skeleton Key rooms: Backwoods Bayou, KillMart, Madame Fatale’s Cavern of Terror, Slaughter House and Urgent Scare. There’s also a standalone Skeleton Key room, The Viewing, which has evening services each night at Halloween Haunt.

Heck the field behind International Show Place next to Diamondback's turn around into the station is big enough for the 170 feet footprint.

Early August - Those footings and utility lines being placed were for the massive candy canes and other features for Winterfest....highly doubt they're for a Skywarp. 8/16 - Sometimes there isn't an announcement to make and even if there is, it only makes sense to make an announcement when it will help benefit the business.....i.e. boost season pass sales and/or attendance which Kings Island isn't lacking as of this time. 9/4 Following Week - Construction walls go up to keep folks out of the demolition area...and to hide what's being done from the public eye. We all likely know what is going in these buildings place....so no real announcement is needed. 9/28 - Probably an oops on the behalf of the original poster as you pointed out in your post. If you look at the land it's not necessarily level from Tower Gardens to the buildings being torn down (yes, they could fill in or take out). Also, the land is much much bigger than the footprint which is 170 feet per http://www.skylineattractions.com/?p=rides&i=skywarp. Could we be getting a Skywarp and some other additions or we could be getting nothing other than what we can presume is going to be placed there? I'd venture to say it's more than likely just what we are presuming to be placed in that area. Not everything we see is a clue for the next new ride...it more than likely is simple upkeep/updates.

Hi Jimbo, Welcome to KIC! We've already got a discussion about Haunt here: However, I'll go ahead an answer your question....it's not too crazy busy on Friday nights...but as the season moves toward Halloween it gets pretty busy! It's all dependent on the weather too. Hope you have a good time.

Winterfest 2017 Attraction Lineup Announced
Creed Bratton replied to jdf21972's topic in Kings Island
I'm pretty much okay with the coaster line up for Winterfest, having been at SFOG toward the opening of their season and most coasters were only running 1 train that normally would have 2 which extended waits. There's enough at Winterfest for me to do that I feel like I'll have to make several trips to be able to see all the shows I want to see. -
I'll one up you and be that person and say something will eventually replace Dinosaurs Alive.

We don't! 3 hours is nothing in relation to what those out west would have to drive! -
Another incident involoving Dragster!
Creed Bratton replied to Hmrapp's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I've seen a couple of "news" websites created by some fanboys who claim the ride to be down for the rest of the season based on what they've seen and what they interpret. It's not uncommon for maintenance men to be working on a ride, especially if the ride is down, they are working on something, and/or observing something. People want to be the first to break the "news" that really isn't news. -
Sit On it - A nostalgic look back at KI...
Creed Bratton replied to Shaggy's topic in Kings Island History
I getcha....I don't really remember it's heyday as I didn't really get into KI until the late 90s/early 2000s. I have looked at the concept art and I find it crazy for what it was marketed as. I would have loved to see it back then. -
Closure of Dinosaurs Alive and opening of lots of land.
Creed Bratton replied to upstop's topic in Kings Island
The thing is, I highly doubt the entire park is going to be open.....in previous versions of Winterfest there has mainly been partial areas of the park open if I remember correctly. We'll see for sure...but all signs point to such. If you look at where they've installed lighting units for the trees in the park, I have seen only those lighting units about 1/2 way up (by Dodgems). -

I don't see any loss of popularity for AE.....there's been several visits that I've had to skip it because the wait time was too high and it didn't waiver at all. -

I can almost guarantee not all of Coney Mall will be open for Winterfest....probably will only be open to the path by dodgems. -
They will either use an existing building or a temporary tent structure like CP does. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pop music back on International Street
Creed Bratton replied to BlondyRidesOn's topic in Kings Island
Really no one knows? I hate to tell you, but myself and 2 others know for sure since we put together the instrumental music for I-Street and have been told that it won’t be back unless people write in. It is a done deal unless folks write in. So don’t wait until it doesn’t happen next year because then it’ll be too late. Little does anyone know we had been asked by some management to make another playlist to add in addition to what was already playing but that had since been scrapped. It was scrapped a month early to consider it for Haunt reasons. During sell out days, they don’t play Haunt music so that excuse is invalid (it was made from a seasonal employee as additional evidence because most seasonal employees don’t get to know or hear decision reasoning). This here is not an opinion, it is fact. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Pop music back on International Street
Creed Bratton replied to BlondyRidesOn's topic in Kings Island
I can guarantee that it was not to test it (as it had been done previously) and it's a permanent change for the foreseeable future. I cannot give exact specifics but I can say that the decision was not made in relation to Haunt set up or any other special events. If you are a current employee, please know that even something as small as this, you can get in trouble for posting information that hasn't been released or witnessed by guests yet. Please be careful, I do know a few who have been terminated for posting on online forums such as this for posting information that hasn't been released. -
No, it wasn't a good replacement. Too short of a maze and not worth a wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
