  1. It's not real hilly....the real big hill is not really one at all, but it's going from the ticket gates down to the park....you walk down one of two ramps, through a tunnel and boom you're there. There are a few hills in the park, but they aren't much.....I'd consider them as steep as the hill from Larossa's in Rivertown to Vortex. If I'm remembering them correctly.
  2. Which is why I can only sit in the front rows of Arrow Cars....I need more leg room
  3. Bins are an unnecessary evil. They are nice to store things in and a nice way to not have to spend $ on lockers.....however, it's unnecessary for the things people bring into parks that they can get in park. The only exception I have to this is medical needs such as Diabetes kits. Having worked Diamondback specifically, I can tell you things that were left in the bins weren't necessary other than the drink cups. We'd have people drop book bags full of stuff. If it's not something you can't leave for a few minutes it probably shouldn't come into the park with you. If it's not something you're willing to protect by keeping it in a locker, it shouldn't come into the park with you. If it's not something you can leave in your car, it shouldn't come to the park with you. There are too many options available to the point we don't even need bins. We've got unlimited drink pass (without the cup), all season dining, FunPix, shops are open a bit later than park close....some of the prizes are too big to fit in bins so they'd need to go to a car anyway if you win a game, etc. People have cargo shorts with zipper pockets, wallets that hold cards, FunPix lanyards to hold your season pass, etc. It all seems a bit unnecessary to have to worry about keeping everything they can possibly bring with them to the park. You either get a locker, leave it in a car, store it on your person or don't bring it if it's not medically necessary.
  4. There will be lockers fairly close by to MT. The windows of the gift shop aren't open to see in or out, so it wouldn't really matter if they were blocked.
  5. I feel like I've heard that they were doing away with bins on Diamondback this year...I personally wouldn't mind it...but at the same time it'd suck after having them there since 09.
  6. If they do there will be info out about it, but don't think they will.
  7. Which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Old.Cincinnati/permalink/1433865963322515/
  8. You'll be reminded when you show up for check in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. There is a cap I believe......the sooner he can get the tickets the better.
  10. I absolutely love these hats! I am not one for camo, but I may have to get me one of the camo hats!
  11. You may have a different experience, but I've been let down the 2 times I went.
  12. But with Delirium, they were sprucing up the area as part of the overhaul with Banshee being added in. It wasn't like they just randomly did it. They may take notice on it, but it falls back on justification other than some people might think it looks nice.
  13. The thing with the lights, is would it bring significant ridership to justify adding it to those rides? Does purchasing the lights as a priority outweigh other infrastructure and/or ride priorities? Do the lights really make someone (non enthusiast) want to ride it? The thing with music is, copyright/rights. Do they purchase the rights or apply for use of that copyrighted material to put them near a ride? For each ride? Not to mention, Batman/Danger Zone/Transformers/etc. are all part of franchises.....some owned by competitors. The same questions as above can apply, does it bring significant ridership to justify adding it? Does the cost of adding the music as a priority outweigh other priorities? Does music really make someone (non enthusiast) want to ride it? Would adding it, make FunTV go away? They've done an amazing job with the programming for it, they've spent a pretty penny especially through Corporate at KI to add a FunTV operation center on the parks property that does all of the programming for all Cedar Fair parks. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for some great improvements, especially lighting and changing music around the park, but I don't see that as a priority.
  14. HWN, I won't do Mania anymore unless they change things.
  15. I guess I am going. Have a friend who booked a hotel for us already. I wasn't looking at the cost fully. I thought it was an event fee plus admission to the park. I will be doing the Friday ert/Saturday option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Get a countdown tracker! helps keep things straight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If you can wait until May 19th or 20th without a cup/plan do so, but remember you run the risk of only getting a drink wristband or nothing Coasterstock weekend in relation to drinks. As Freaks said, last year they just gave us 2 tickets for 2 on-ride photos for that weekend. No one but the park is sure what's going to happen with FunPix as part of the welcome package. As a complete side note, I'm extremely excited for this event and cannot wait to see what all the park is going to do for us, even though they don't have to!
  18. Silver Dollar City is in with Herschend and to be honest, the quality of customer service, theming and more are higher with those parks vs. Cedar Fair and Six Flags. That's not a dog on those two, but I don't think that the acquiring of SDC would do that park any justice.
  19. The problem I'm running into is the cost of getting in to the park for the days and then the event fee.....or even Season Pass and Event Fee. I don't know if I can justify the cost for just those 2-3 days in park.
  20. This is an official statement from the park.....why are we still debating it? The fact is Racer has both sides facing forward and until the park decides to change it, it will stay that way.
  21. I've thought about that too, but I can't put my finger on what that would look like.
  22. To be fair, Michigan's Adventure would be a great candidate for just about anything.
  23. I was under the impression there wouldn't be a gift shop directly near the ride.
