As rcwizard13 said, they've (Tom+Chee) said they'd be on the dining plan. It probably won't do you any good calling tomorrow for a couple of reasons, things are still being finalized and I doubt that the call center is fully staffed as of right now. You'd have better luck calling in closer to the season starting.

It was mentioned here: https://KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/31953-meal-deals-and-meal-deals/&page=9

Decided to look at the website for dining, looks like some things are updating at random times. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/things-to-do/dining-plans RHoFG is listed on there as a location for the dining plans....however, the new Tom+Chee is not.

Highly unlikely in the near future that KI and/or it's parent company Cedar Fair would be working with Intamin to bring a coaster in.
-
It's been said to take a few years. It's not like they just all of the sudden say, hey we want a ____ coaster and the manufacturer says sure, we'll need to start construction by May of this next year. It's a process.....takes at least 2-3 years.

Knott's Berry Farm- Boomerang closing!
Creed Bratton replied to rhyano's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The park could use it.....although I personally don't think it'll draw any "outside visitors" to the park. -
Looks great! I'm wondering if the vine in the middle is going to stay there or not. I'm assuming it's part of the "Billboard" advertising style

There has already been evidence that RMC is on site. At this point, it's been from illegal photos, so I will not be sharing those here. But they are there....no need to wait to see if RMC M.S. meets company expectations. Piggy backing on them being on site, some may say they are just teasing, but they wouldn't go out of there way to bring a truck across the country to tease Coaster Enthusiasts. It's very safe to say it'll be an RMC creation. Yes, I've seen Drone Video that shows track has been removed. It's questionable on whether or not the video should have been taken as they said they've been asked to not fly over the park, but they were awfully close to the park when filming.

If you're used to going to KI know that the layout of KD is quite different compared to our park. It's kind of weird to not branch off to the right of I-Street to go to Planet Snoopy and if you branch off to the left, you've got Dominator.

Just seeing the videos from testing has me over the edge of anticipation! It didn't help that I had several amazing rides on Thunderhead at Dollywood this past weekend! Cannot wait!!!!!

Looking back at the website for Live Entertainment.....I note that there are 3 non- Peanuts themed shows (with one starting Opening Day and the other 2 starting late May), 2 Peanuts shows (One starting late May, with weekends only through June 11th and then the other starting June 10th) and then Fireworks. I have never really been a park show fan, but after seeing the line ups from other Cedar Fair parks as well as seeing shows at Dollywood after our park closed for the 2016 season, I'm kind of let down just a little because I want to see some shows this year. I'm hoping that the lineup is not complete and there will be more shows added. /SadPandaRant

Just know, your gold pass will not allow you to enter KD....you would either have to upgrade to Platinum or purchase a daily ticket. I would definitely go if you're able to. I've been dying to get back to that park since my one and only visit in 2011. I didn't spend enough time in park (just one day) and I would love to really explore, check out some of the differences (I've seen a lot of them, but really investigate) and of course ride Dominator as many times as possible.

Great picture, where did it come from? If it's not yours make sure you cite where it came from. If it is yours, you may want to be careful sharing pictures of the park/new construction before it's available to the public especially if you work for the park.
-
I would love to see a flat in that spot, but the more and more I think about it, I'm not sure how it'd work. I'd think the queue placement would have to be extremely well thought out, as to not go under DB, and to not mess with existing structures.

Cedar Point (+ Other CF Parks) May Change All Season Drink Program
Creed Bratton replied to Tr0y's topic in Kings Island
I just purchased the Season Pass option for this. Considering how much will be saved on drinks for this, I couldn't pass it up. I ended up paying a total of $33 for it, since there is the fee (99 cents) and tax. I wanted to add it to my pass before visiting Carowinds this weekend! Cannot wait to use it. Honestly, I'm sure after this weekend alone, I'll have "paid it off" with the amount of drinks I get and their cost if I weren't to have the plan. -
Both as of when I posted the first time...but Tapatalk was all day that I saw that..haven't been on it since I've been on my laptop.
-
Don't know if it's my connection or what, but some pictures (especially in the photo contest thread) are not showing, but they're showing as broken links. On Tapatalk, when I was looking at the same thread, my post showed up as a broken link, when I clicked it, it said I didn't have permission to see it.

I have not....I'm actually kind of hoping to have something this weekend. I've got a pair from Walmart I got a few years ago with one zipper pocket but I'm not sure it'll actually hold both my phone and my battery.
-
Yes, I've been checking our stock almost daily and we've not received any with zippers that I have seen.
-
I'm having a hard time finding shorts with pockets that close with zippers. I'd rather have zippers than buttons/velcro. I've found one pair at Walmart, has one pocket with a zipper but it's not deep enough and if I were to put my phone to the side, it's not wide enough.
-
Absolutely worth it. The cost is easily absorbed after a few pictures and you are able to download them, print them at your own convenience and it allows for great memories. It's easy to get your photos and it's painless.

Sorry, we (Tim aka coasterboysfne and myself) the staff were actually at our Dollywood event this weekend so I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Tim usually announces the line ups/pricing as soon as the park allows. It can be really anytime......usually he'll post what's being worked on and once park confirms what will be happening then he'll post by the time (generally) when registration opens. As far as cost that's usually out as soon as possible. There's isn't a set formula for when these things happen because it's dependent on the parks releasing information. If you ever have any questions about CC you can always PM me.

Payrates shouldn't really be discussed online....they can vary by person and it's more of a question that should be asked of the park when they ask you during your interview if you have any questions (most interviews usually tell you what you'd be making). Look throughout this thread on what you should expect. While most of the answers are geared toward Rides, they can be translated toward merchandise. That's unknown....depending on the requirements of the job, when you can schedule processing, orientation, if you get hired and their availability. Merchandise is a good department to start with, as you aren't old enough to operate rides.....merchandise I know can be rewarding in various aspects. You may not be placed in a store, but you could be placed in a FunPix booth, or strolling cart, etc. In anycase, if you want to work at the park, have an open mind.
