I remember last year, at the Skyline on I-Street. My sister and I got in line and when we cashed out almost 30 minutes had passed. -
Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)

Last year at the burger stand near Vortex, I was in line behind a gentleman and the cashier asked if he had a gold pass, he said no. The cashier told him his price and he said no thank you I dont want it because that wasnt the price on the menu (I forget what he was ordering). The cashier asked if I had a pass, I said yes, she asked to scan it and did so giving the guy a discount.... I wonder how many employees will give away free drinks, again this year. Many times its the "no need to scan the bottle" free drinks that happen.... -
Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)

Had a few moments to think this over. Would I have bought it knowing these time constraints happened, probably not. I bought knowing there was a four hour window. Not a duel window time frame. So if the the park closes at 8 will lunch be 10-12 and dinner 4-6? When the park is open to 1 am will dinner be later? And man someone is going to be perturbed when they show up at 235 because their watch or cell phone is slightly different than the cash register time ... -
Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)

I guess my outrage/upsetness/just aggravated by is over the times. Just silly and stupid imo. I have no problem with the 4 hour break or even a 5. My problem is if I want to eat at 3 I can't. No if ands or buts, unless I want to pay, which I would rather purchase outside the park. Same as if I get there at 9 and need to eat around 1030/11... What if I get there after work and then want to eat at say 8:30? Gaps in time, I get. The set schedule as many have said during peak meal time is sort of aggravating. When you have a little one they tend to eat when they are hungry. Not at a set schedule usually. And I really bought the meal plan as to make my day when I'm there easier. Not worry long about am I in my lunch window or not. -
Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)

Double post This absolutely upsets me. So I plan on arriving at the park at 1045. Buy a pop and sit down with my son to enjoy pizza by the fountain around 11. He and I then go to Dino a Alive, ride some rides, get some chicken around 3 do a few more things and go home. But now, everything is not that way. Seriously this is such a bad move. I don't even understand the junk. And screw it if I want to save my meal for late and night and want to eat a coney before heading home. Bad move KI. I'll be calling tomorrow to express my disgust. -

How is it taking advantage of something if you used it the way they intended to (2 or 4 hour gap). Never mind that Disney doesn't care if you use all your meals in one sitting or throughout the day. -
The problem, from what I understand, never happened between CP and KI. It was KD and Carrowinds, from what I understand...

True but in the school district I work in, a GM plant was located near by... was..
-
Even if a plant only opens for ten years, that's ten years of jobs for the people in the area. If done right that would be more than enough time to gain new skills education or anything in case the plant does close down

is Charlotte that nice of a place to run a corporate office or does it have a bunch of tax breaks?

Touché sir.

I feel that this is one of those things we are all blowing out of proportion. 1: we don't know the amount of business this pet care center used during the year. It probably wasn't busting at the seams so it could be considered an acceptable loss. 2: we don't know why it's going away. Maybe a renovation, maybe a front park redo, may they are just not investing money there. 3: almost all good kennels and such require vaccinations and etc to keep the animals safe. Are we implying the KI one did not require this? 4: many doggy day cares and over night care are night and day better than KI was or ever will be without a huge investment. 5: in this day and age, the user who travels with their dog to an amusement park but doesn't check out where to put the dog is becoming slimmer and slimmer. I'm willing to guess over 75-80% of people who travel with a pet don't assume that just because it had it before would assume it's still there. Also if they did, most would drive the extra ten mins to board their dog. I feel for it but it's not like it was the best dog kennel in the world. Didn't one of the members on here describe that the conditions inside the pet care we're not always the greatest anyways?

Thanks. Didnt know the 3 Caballeros was a movie. Now that makes sense. So now every character I mentioned has a link back to a movie with its corresponding country/location. Not sure how you do a Frozen 2. They pretty much wrapped up all of the plot points. Unless you look at the kids of one of the main characters (like LIttle Mermaid 2...) Personally, I would much rather have a Big Hero 6: 2 or Wreck it Ralph 2 as their appears to be more a build world with those 2 movies (similar to Toy Story).

Dont forget that the sister station of 700 WLW (1530) is the home of the U of L radio network. Not a stretch to buy a station wide commercial, or it may have been part of the deal that X number of U of L commercials are broadcast over sister stations...

WDW "Best Day Ever" Promo
shark6495 replied to bkroz's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Got myself and my family booked! Dinner reservations already made! Just waiting for the FP+ window to open up. and honestly, if you are looking at a 3-5 day ticket you are looking at about a 30$ increase for the full 5 days.... I personally dont think its too expensive. Plus with all of the new stuff coming in, they have to raise capital one way or the other... -
I dont disagree, but to point to Frozen and say "hey wait" but ignore Belle in France, Alice in the UK, Donald in Mexico, Mary Poppins in the UK, Mulan in China, Aurora in the UK, Snow White in Germany, Winnie the Pooh in the UK, Aladdin and Jasmine in Morocco.... To me putting Elsa and Ana in Norway is not a stretch. You have the characters everywhere else in that showcase..... I know each character I mentioned has some version of their story originating in the location in which they are having a meet and greet (well, maybe not Donald Duck, but he is wearing a big hat), but Frozen has its story's roots in the Nordish traditions. I still dont get the hate on Frozen. If you dont like it cool, but I dont get why people have to consistently talk about why its a bad movie. Sort of like why people feel having to bad talk Intamin or or or...

Are you trying to imply that a man such as Hart would be so unscrupulous that he would fudge numbers to ensure he makes money? I dont know about you, but when I look at a crowd of park goers, I can totally tell that about 1/4-1/3 are from another state maybe even planet.

In the video that was just posted what ride can be seen above the tree line at 4:40?
-
I sort of feel this is a chicken/egg situation. If there had existed a highway/byway during the Sea World/Geauga Lake days of the 70s, then possibly the infrastructure would have grown as well and possibly been ready for the influx of the masses..
-
I sort of wonder how things would have changed for Geuga Lake if there was a high or byway that went there. Crowds may have been easier ton control etc.

And please, I dont want anyone to think, I want all of the smokers out of the park. I am fine with them being in the park and having an area, I just question the locations that KI has put them in. Off the top of my head here are the locations that are smoking areas In Coney Mall, located in the middle of the strip just past basketballs before you get to the Cafe, treed, benches, middle of the midway. In RIvertown, 2-4 benches located infront of the Potato Works next to the Basketballs, 2 feet from the main path Tower Gardens (as mentioned before). Not sure if there are any other locations but we seriously couldnt find any better locations that are just off of the main path? In Coney Mall, you have an abandoned ride Pad next to Dinos Alive (throw some benches and maybe some umbrellas and it would be nice and off the path or down near The Vortex just past the bathrooms. In Rivertown you have an abandoned Que area that goes back just far enough off of the main path. Centrally, anywhere but Tower Gardens. As No Chickens said, you could put it in the corner....
