  1. Here is something I have learned. Always trust your judgement of people. If you respect someone then that's great. You should defend your friends or people you respect or trust. But when doing so make sure that you know what or who you are defending. I have a few friends I would lay down my life to defend. Seriously and they would do the same for me. But there are a few people I know who are "nice guys" but that's about as far as I go when defending them. Nothing hurts more than finding out you were made a fool because another person wasn't honest with. But there is nothing greater than having a person you so respect that lives up to that honor. 2. Heck I think 2-3 years ago I was chastised for saying the in front of many of our coasters Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. There is a difference between removing a bogus info or editing with a byline that states "this post was wrong." But editing so you can point to it later and saying hey I was right is not kosher with many people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yea but.... I used to have all of these predetermined thoughts about parenting. Now that I am one, man I'm flying by the seat of my pants. Being a good parent is tough.
  5. I bet he skips Racer! Hey if you are going to go I the afternoon for half a day why would you go on a busy weekend ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. How is a building that you can't really see from any main walkway, that you can see from the Brake run on a coaster extra clutter? We have food buildings that sit unused.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I get that. I know the crews work very hard. But as an outsider (having never worked in a park) a power hour is silly. Shouldn't the same turn over rate you do in a power hour he what you do during any part of the regular day? Unless of course a power hour is where you get more crew on deck and help shuffle guests on and off with more people to check harnesses. Then that I get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So why not do that all day? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Park is dead. No real lines anywhere Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Could it be nothing more than thats the way the park wants to the coaster mentioned in all press releases and news stories? Maybe the park wanted the tagline mentioned in previous stories. Maybe the writer of the story needed more than "Coaster possibly hits tree." Many times a story needs a certain amount of words to be published. A tag line or description of the ride works here in adding information. Again, its not like a park rep was out front answering questions. And if the translation is "Hell" then whats the big deal. Thats what happens when you name your coaster that. Not sure why everyone hates on the media.
  11. fair enough. If its normal, then my apologies. I would have sworn (foggy memory) that last year it was not like that. Oh well.
  12. i had someone (random park goer) tell me I should have left my 1 year old son in his stroller outside of the bathroom. Um no. I was holding him. That may upset a few people but there is no way on Earth would I leave a 1 year old alone by himself. Secondly, if I have a daughter, it would not be till she is almost 7 or 8 that I would feel comfortable letting her in the restroom alone.
  13. But it hought the launch was designed by a different company Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. ABC is reporting that a tree may have fallen on the ride https://twitter.com/clayton_sandell/status/486331084012257280 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gah! This is how you bring back some fun to the day for those of us always being there
  17. So a little comment on my quick trip yesterday. I dont like commenting on how ride ops do their jobs. But..... Yesterday on Beast, I was disappointed in the crew. From pulling into the station till we got out of the car we stopped 4 times. 4 complete stops. It felt like someone learning to drive a car coming to a stop light. If the driver/controller was new, I get it. But on a busy day, is that needed? The Beast ran great but sitting in the shed for almost 90 seconds of not moving followed by 4 stops, felt like there could have been a better driver?
  18. Mythos is great and frozen Butterbeer was awesome. My wife and I were very happy with Mythos. It cost us just shy of $30 to eat a good meal in the park (we thought it would be $30 per plate). Get reservations for Mythos or any other place you go. Get them months in advance. We had reservation for the restaurant and when we showed up to eat, the couple a head of us was told their wait would be 4 hours. We walked up and claimed our reservation and were sat in 10 mins.
  19. Well minus the two previous ride structure/buildings (SOB and TR) this would only be the 2nd permanent building built? Club Blood (or w/e the Vampire one) is off the beaten path and is not that obvious. The SOB structure is what it is and the same with the TR building. If this new building fits in with the feel of The Beast, then IMHO it wont look out of place.
  20. Yeah, and walking that trail reminds you of the drastic changes in elevation... I have slightly grown bored of the trail (Have been almost every Sunday since the park opened) but my son absolutely loves it. Looks like, Sundays are Dino Days for us....
  21. Probably, but that's an unfair question. That's like asking if the original owners still had control would Hannah Barbara characters be around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Today I saw no less than 5 families in line to get photos with said noodle
