  1. Its my understanding that it has not operated 3 trains since the CF purchase, is that correct or am I misremembering?
  2. http://www.adacompliantpoolliftsandequipment.com/facilitytype_wtrparks.html http://www.aquaticsintl.com/ada-compliance/full-access-.aspx http://www.waterparks.org/news_detail.asp?itemId=361 Read an interpret as you will...
  3. Looks like it has been somewhat updated a few more pictures, it looks like were added
  4. Park experience or not, congrats!
  5. I will say this, if you wonder why these things get publicised (now mind you a cable breaking is a serious news story) its because people talk about it. Generates clicks. If you dont want these things publicised quit clicking on them and quit talking about them...
  6. So Texas and Georgia are considered THE Flag parks, but are not controlled by the company? Are Texas and Georgia owned by the same group? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So I learned that Geauga Lake and KK were both owned by the same group before they were flagged. Never knew that till now. Why did PP break it's mold to buy a national park chain? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. 1. Beast any seat: topping the lift hill and seein nothing but woods and oh wait are we going under ground 2. Banshee/Bat front row: the idea of hanging below the track and going I the ground 3. Griffin front row: see above but now they hold you on the lift 4. Diamondback front row: anticipation 5: Son of Beast front row: nothing like looking out ad thinking well if I go out on a coaster 6: Top Thrill Dragster any seat: the slow crest an quick plummet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yup .012% appears to be just over 1% of 1% ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Not to mention the height issues and the whole we don't own all of the land thing..... This seems more and more like Americana.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Not sure how big the park is but that sounds like an average of just over 1500 people/day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. See also Busch Gardens. Well something's don't have a positive ROI but they add to a positive day which then can lead to more money spent elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yes yes I knew that, but thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I would like to see a return of the trams. KI is slowly adding more quality shows (would like more to be honest) and maybe a few more family rides/flats in te next few years. It would help families get tired youngins and older tired family members back to the vehicles. I miss hearing tram spiel mentioning the next stop Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yea that gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Well the past few days the park has been out of 48inch wrist bands. We got our niece measured just to find out that they would measure her at every station. We were told that if she didn't meet the 48 requirement at one of the places to have them call upfront... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yea if anyone heads up let me know. The wife may be going out with her mom and will be taking the lil one so if an impromptu meet up happens post in here.
  18. Soooo I should have done a KIC search and not Google... Thanks for the info. Looks like I might be the only one who didnt know about the Wonderland downunder.... Follow up questions, why was Wonderland sold off away from the other Taft parks?
  19. That is sort of where I was going with my original statement. Reading up on the park, its interesting to read that the company who bought it last sort of let it run on cruise control. Maybe more interested in the land versus the park. Was it during the CBS era that KI sold the camp ground? When did it lose the golf course land? I did a Google search, but that name does not signal anything to me... I feel like it should though
  20. So I was doing some research around our own SRR and then got curious to the current location of our own Zodiac. A Google search of that then lead to this... http://www.wonderlandhistory.net/ Maybe its just me. But I never knew Taft built a park in Australia modeled off of Canada's Wonderland and in some part KI. Interesting to see what happened to a park that closes. Also, helps put into perspective how lucky we are that KI has stayed open with good and bad owners. What would have happened to Paramount's Kings Island, if CF didnt buy the chain...
  21. Thanks! Next time at the park I may have baby shark with me! Niece update: she is now saying in a few years she wants to retry Beast. I would think that counts as a victory in the uncle department. Overall I thought the park was busy today but not overly. The crowds were pretty well spread out. No overly long or crazy lines on our path through the park. However we didn't even attempt Firehawk or FOF. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. So wait, was the dog restrained? Were you in front or behind the dog? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. When I last went to CP I was probably 25-35 pounds lighter but the only ride I had severe trouble on was the antique cars. Not sure if there was a problem with the belt but it barely fit across me and the seat.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. That's great. We had a good convo with some people from a church group from KY. Good kids. Also, thanks for understanding I felt horrible actually. As we were walking away I was like oh my gosh, I was so rude lol. Also I did not force her onto the ride lol. She was looking forward to it all day lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. About 5-10 mins later she was telling our whole group how The Beast is the scariest ride ever and that The Bat and Adventure Express were 10x better. All of this was discussed over some fruit snacks, a blue ice cream, and a Sprite. She ended the day with a front row lap on AE, a lap on the log flume, and WWC. So she was okay in the end. And usually I am much more talkative and she's a lot less shy, just a case of a too big of a roller coaster too soon... Sorry if I seemed short or aloof lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
