WCPO: Woman asked to upgrade son's Jr Season Pass mid season
shark6495 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
We're upset because the policy is a bad one. Not because KI is enforcing it. This is a bad policy from a business and customer service perspective. If your policy ends up with you getting bad press like this and maybe nets you a few hundred bucks a year, it's time to reconsider your policy. 1. Just because someone doesn't like it doest make it bad. 2. What if I'm not an honest person and purchase a Jr pass in the fall or early spring for my kid who is 50 inches. By the time we go to the park I say oh he grew. 3. Many things in life are not fair. The kid grew and is able to enjoy more than what was originally planned. 4. We don't know all the facts we have 1 person's account which is actually different than about 4 other people on this website who had similar issues that were dealt with better than this. What if I buy my son a Kings Island JR ticket in December for a planned trip in June. Should he be able to use it no matter how tall he gets as long as he was below 48 when I bought it? Are we upset because KI is enforcing rules? It's like people were upset that Cracker Barrel fired a guy for giving away free food... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
WCPO: Woman asked to upgrade son's Jr Season Pass mid season

Maybe the park could haw handled it better, maybe she wasn't happy and panned on going to the media immediately. Most people go BBB when they have true issues.... For all we know she bought the right pass and he grew after using it or she purposely/a accidentally bought the wrong pass and doesn't want to pay the difference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Well it dosnt say she used the pass previously. So if thats the case, she purchased one and didnt realize she bought the wrong one. Instead of fixing it she went to the media? -
Sarcasm: it's always understood I never ran into Godzilla. Welcome to KIC be nice and show respect and others will do the same. Starting flame arguments over drug orgy music is a bit edgy for a newbie.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AVATAR Is Going To Animal Kingdom
shark6495 replied to Avatar's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Plus I think the two parks/resorts are significantly different. They both compete for the same family dollar but they are marketed differently. Almost every kid wants to visit Disney one time. If you were to tell that Kid we are going to Harry Potter world, they would be pumped but when it's said and done, would still ask about Disney. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
To be honest I'm always talking to someone on the way up the hill. So it probably is playing it's just my selective deafness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I hate to say it, but Disney has something the others you mentioned don't. They have brand recognition from birth to death. Try to walk down a baby aisle and not see 1 Disney thing. Disney Trips have become a rite of passage for many families. Avatarland may come and go and may be a big failure. The House of Mouse will bring more generations of families in with the same concept: Mickey, Minnie, and the Princesses. You have families who go yearly, even with complaints. You have families plan vacations that may not be able to afford it. Disney is similar to the Yankees where they can almost buy themselves out of mistakes. Will Carsland be popular in 10-15 years? Probably no more so than Aladdin is now but.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Yea I worked fast food ten years ago. The ice machine in the fountain head was emptied every time it was emptied by a customer ... Then we would grab the ice bucket and dump more ice in. I worked at an Arby's in Cambridge where we found a moth in the ice bin. We were told to scoop him out. We also had ants in the fountain heads. Conversely, I worked for my dad at a restaurant and he made sure we cleaned everything everywhere.... He would even clean the floors with a tooth brush Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To be honest the only thing I miss about HB land was the unique rde experiences. You could drive the Flintstone car in the bumper cars, ride next to Janberjaw or Scooby on the carousel, or fly the Jetsons car in a circle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well using both your meals at Reds HOFG would be an interesting way to include it.

Cedar Fair Quarter Two Results

https://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/Universal-Express/Express-Passes.aspx#p2p 1 day + Both parks + unlimited Universal Express = $189 (Unless this is what you were refering to as a Bundle, then yes I agree with you) I only knew of this option as we are looking to add Universal to our Orlando trip next year -
So does that mean something like BLSC or AE loosing all or whats left of their theming in 2016? Require name changes of rides like AE and Delirium? I'm kind of confused on these certain rights that they have till 2016... AE was never themed to a Paramount Park property. So no reason for that to be changed. BLSC already lost its licensed theming when we went to the non-descript Mini replacements and dropping of the name Italian Job.

I was against the Peanuts crew a few years back. Now that I have a son, I am slowly realizing its not about the face on the costume, but the costume itself. My son laughs and dances with the whole Peanut crew. We also have a few Snoopy books and a stuffed animal, so I am sure he recognizes them slightly from that. If Peanuts ever does elsewhere, there are a few other brands available. For example a Flagged company recently released Thomas and the Wiggles. Not to mention some Cartoon Network/Turner/Time Warner characters are not licensed... yet

An Interesting Drink Pass A Park Employee Offered Me Today
shark6495 replied to Miythandria's topic in Kings Island
I have bought this drink band twice this year. Mainly because I was going with people who would spend the day at the park and were going to ride rides all day. I didnt want to carry around the Banshee cup. I feel like this would be a great option to go with the season long dining plan. -

Or maybe go the way of Universal Studios? $40 gets you one time use on each ride while a more expensive option exists for unlimited. -

Could this all be part of a long term plan. Throw pricing integrity to the window for this year. Get as many people into the park as possible. They see how nice the park is. Make plans to return next year. Next year, a more stable pricing plan? -
Yea but just as likely was someone moved your stuff, then the chair gets moved and your stuff is left out by itself. Then....

I would like to have the park more spread out. I feel that if you were to put a big Ferris Wheel next to WindSeeker it would look cluttered. I like the idea over in X-Base, maybe out past where the old helipad is/was? It would be nice to see a colorful Wheel behind The Racers. I like Dev's idea of Flying Eagles over by WS

I bought the season long meal plan and it has allowed me to try different foods than I normally would have. The burgers at the 50's diner are not that bad. The chicken was a bit dry. I think this week I will try Hank's

My buddy and I were in line for Banshee. The ride op assigning seats told us to wait as he didnt know where to put the two of us. Someone in the front row yelled they needed two (customer). My buddy and I signaled that we would join. The ride op said no at first. The as the train pulled into the station told the train to hold while he pushed us to the front row.... It wouldnt be that difficult to merge the Fast Lane passers with the normal queue line since its just a changing of gates. You could put the op incharge of gate control back at the part. Then keep the queue house full. I have no problem with the FL people getting in ahead of everyone. My problem is that they stop the entire general line while the train is pulling in and there is open spots.

Double post: I actually saw them do this assigning again on Adventure Express. Why can't they pulse the lines like they do at Universal Studios where you join the line before the seat selection and you just pick where you want to go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
