With CF recent activity at KD to bring back tradition (and at KI to a point) maybe a name is happening. Was it always located near Vortex? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do we need I register for this? Also any age limits? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I hate to be the voice of reason but... The crew may or may not be as fast as Banshee's crew but the biggest difference has to be the bins. On Banshee you hop on and hop off. On DB not so much. As for Fast Pass, it is what it is. If you don't like waiting then buy one. A 45 minute wait is nothing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He did tell them to stop... But they just ignored him and kept doing. The dad then picked up the trash from their meal while the kids did their thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Disney Fastpass+ at Walt Disney World

You make a great point, and not sure you meant to or it was just a minor one. Something with this kind of towering system makes sense in the WDW because each park has 2-3 maybe 4 big rides/attractions that you have to pick 1 from. Where as the California resorts have more attractions in fewer parks. On the Florida side for a moment, I feel that this was a necessity for them. They have so many resorts/parks/outside attractions all flying under the WDW banner that this was needed. To carry on my "roof" analogy : the roof was old, there were some leaks but it could have even fixed with a patch but it's better to make it all new and work for the next 40+ years. I'm planning my Disney trip for the family next year and we did contemplate a California trip but I was outvoted. WDW has over 12-15(maybe more?) hotels to stay at on property, plus hundreds of dining options on property, not to mention the golf, water parks, and mini golf courses. I can see how having a 1 swipe system would be a huge selling point. Vs California I believe has 3 partner hotels? Fewer restaurants etc. as many have said it's a completely different animal. If this succeeds you are right. This will be the absolute envy for years to come. It will absolutely crush Universal. If it flops, well Universal has got a new land coming soon as well. Personally I see this evolving into a digital version of the old system with fewer limits. We are still in the "beta" stages of this. Once the bugs are worked out... I was the one who said you cheated the system (though legally). If you took it harshly, my apologies. Not intended that way. I know what you did was "legal" but still sort of unfair. But like I said, I would have done the same thing. So maybe Im not the one you were thinking of. Oh well! This is an extremely expensive thing, but I thought the Magic Bands help create unique experiences and linking all parts of your vacation together. In the future, isnt it suppose to be able to push your name/info to characters to create a truly unique experience? This upgrade reminds me of when you have to replace your roof or the wiring in your house. It can be very pricey and for the same amount of money you could buy some really cool stuff or even an expansion/remodel. -

No offense to anyone on here, this comment is more directed at outside reviews of the system. Most of the complaints I have heard about this system from outside sources is that you cant run around collecting Fast Passes to all of the rides. To me that makes the most sense of why this system was invented. I get why some people do not like to preplan their trips. There is a certain flair to running around the park and experiencing it as you go. Its a natural flow to go from ride to ride. To me, I think the idea of getting "reservations" to certain rides is actually a good thing. I think. -
Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?
shark6495 replied to skylar.heizer's topic in Coming Attractions
Well I wouldn't think a 300 got standup would be possible just due to G forces. I think that King Cobra would have hung around much longer if it wasn't the first (or one of the first) by Togo. I remember during the last few seasons KC had decent 20-30 min lines on busy days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

To be honest in the article it only says two rides are having this done Soaring and the Frozen meet and greet. Maybe I missed where it was said to spread to other rides. Maybe this is just an over reaction to two extremely popular rides? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
As the resident not coaster educated guy on these here boards.... The drop of Diamonback or TTD or even Vortex almost feel the same just a difference in steepness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a one year old. Only time I "spank" is when he messes with an electrical outlet, runs near the road, or messes with the stove. It's more a quick smack to te booty with a strong "no" because I don't want him to get hurt. On Friday, I saw a dad allow his two teenage sons jump an squirt mustard packets by The Vortex diner. They would also spin the umbrellas pretty quickly. My teaching buddy and I almost said something to the dad but he looked like he lost the battle long ago Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I admit I'm a Disney noob.... I get that it's a different feel at each park but why Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Weirdest thing I heard at the park so far this year was "this garden area used to be so very nice" as they walked by Tower Gardens. I mean wasn't it always a giant smoking section with a weird rock wall Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gator should make a post and have it locked for once a year where it just gets bumped to the top of the page -
At the park today, I think I saw 3-4 women with shaved heads. They all looked awesome and I wanted to high 5 each and every one of them. Got the last ride of the night on Vortex tonight. Going up the lift hill the fireworks were going off. This was a first for me and it was awesome. Never experienced being on a coaster with fireworks going on. Favorite moment had to be going through the double look to see fireworks lighting up the sky.

Rode tonight at night. It was definitely better at night, but my buddy put it perfectly. "You cant replace a night ride on a wooden coaster that bounces you all over the place that for 4-5 minutes you have no idea where you are. " Overall enjoyed it at night, but its still the second best night ride in the park, for me.

My buddy and I took a night ride on The Beast tonight. As we pulled into the brake run at the end, here is an excerpt from our conversation "wow, you were right, that is a great night ride, I mean... wow" "yeah, I know. Probably my all time favorite roller coaster moment" "the tunnels, man. Didnt know where we were going" etc. Not once did we talk about the big shed/haunt building.

Landmark ONE HUNDRED MILLIONTH Racer Ride Coming Soon!
shark6495 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Congrats Racer/KI/Angela. My buddy and I took our one chance on Racer today around 6ish (so probably right before you Charlie). At that time, Don and someone else were on the Red train's exit. I think they were hanging out on the Red side because they were chatting with the ride sup. -
Left the park to run home for a bit then heading back up here soon. Banshee was a station wait, looked like Diamondback was at the bottom of the stairs. Not a super packed park

For example: on my last camping trip between my bddy and I we have 145 photos. I have narrowed it down and will probably print/keep 10-15 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There was a blog post a few years back on artofmanliness.com that stated that you will never look at pictures of fireworks so out the camera down and make memories with friends and family. So if I'm not making a video or picture of my son then I don't take many pictures Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Isn't there a saying about how life's not fair because by the time we are old enough to understand and enjoy our bodies are too old? I have a feeling this works great for coaster enthusiasts as well ... When you get older you will appreciate the "not as thrilling" rides. More so when you can't get to the park or endure many rides.
