Cedar Fair Quarter Two Results
shark6495 replied to thedevariouseffect's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
https://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/Universal-Express/Express-Passes.aspx#p2p 1 day + Both parks + unlimited Universal Express = $189 (Unless this is what you were refering to as a Bundle, then yes I agree with you) I only knew of this option as we are looking to add Universal to our Orlando trip next year -
So does that mean something like BLSC or AE loosing all or whats left of their theming in 2016? Require name changes of rides like AE and Delirium? I'm kind of confused on these certain rights that they have till 2016... AE was never themed to a Paramount Park property. So no reason for that to be changed. BLSC already lost its licensed theming when we went to the non-descript Mini replacements and dropping of the name Italian Job.

I was against the Peanuts crew a few years back. Now that I have a son, I am slowly realizing its not about the face on the costume, but the costume itself. My son laughs and dances with the whole Peanut crew. We also have a few Snoopy books and a stuffed animal, so I am sure he recognizes them slightly from that. If Peanuts ever does elsewhere, there are a few other brands available. For example a Flagged company recently released Thomas and the Wiggles. Not to mention some Cartoon Network/Turner/Time Warner characters are not licensed... yet

An Interesting Drink Pass A Park Employee Offered Me Today
shark6495 replied to Miythandria's topic in Kings Island
I have bought this drink band twice this year. Mainly because I was going with people who would spend the day at the park and were going to ride rides all day. I didnt want to carry around the Banshee cup. I feel like this would be a great option to go with the season long dining plan. -

Or maybe go the way of Universal Studios? $40 gets you one time use on each ride while a more expensive option exists for unlimited. -

Could this all be part of a long term plan. Throw pricing integrity to the window for this year. Get as many people into the park as possible. They see how nice the park is. Make plans to return next year. Next year, a more stable pricing plan? -
Yea but just as likely was someone moved your stuff, then the chair gets moved and your stuff is left out by itself. Then....

I would like to have the park more spread out. I feel that if you were to put a big Ferris Wheel next to WindSeeker it would look cluttered. I like the idea over in X-Base, maybe out past where the old helipad is/was? It would be nice to see a colorful Wheel behind The Racers. I like Dev's idea of Flying Eagles over by WS

I bought the season long meal plan and it has allowed me to try different foods than I normally would have. The burgers at the 50's diner are not that bad. The chicken was a bit dry. I think this week I will try Hank's

My buddy and I were in line for Banshee. The ride op assigning seats told us to wait as he didnt know where to put the two of us. Someone in the front row yelled they needed two (customer). My buddy and I signaled that we would join. The ride op said no at first. The as the train pulled into the station told the train to hold while he pushed us to the front row.... It wouldnt be that difficult to merge the Fast Lane passers with the normal queue line since its just a changing of gates. You could put the op incharge of gate control back at the part. Then keep the queue house full. I have no problem with the FL people getting in ahead of everyone. My problem is that they stop the entire general line while the train is pulling in and there is open spots.

Double post: I actually saw them do this assigning again on Adventure Express. Why can't they pulse the lines like they do at Universal Studios where you join the line before the seat selection and you just pick where you want to go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The other night they had someone who admittedly was not familiar with The Beast line. He was assigning seats by using the front f the coaster line, then he would do the next train from the back of the coaster line. It drastically slowed the line down. Finally someone complained to a Blue shirt who was on the other side of the station. He was told to let the line fill on it's own Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why would you think it has to be an empty building Holiday Horror isn't Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did notice that in the station the assigning of seats took some time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With CF recent activity at KD to bring back tradition (and at KI to a point) maybe a name is happening. Was it always located near Vortex? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do we need I register for this? Also any age limits? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I hate to be the voice of reason but... The crew may or may not be as fast as Banshee's crew but the biggest difference has to be the bins. On Banshee you hop on and hop off. On DB not so much. As for Fast Pass, it is what it is. If you don't like waiting then buy one. A 45 minute wait is nothing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He did tell them to stop... But they just ignored him and kept doing. The dad then picked up the trash from their meal while the kids did their thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Disney Fastpass+ at Walt Disney World
shark6495 replied to bkroz's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
You make a great point, and not sure you meant to or it was just a minor one. Something with this kind of towering system makes sense in the WDW because each park has 2-3 maybe 4 big rides/attractions that you have to pick 1 from. Where as the California resorts have more attractions in fewer parks. On the Florida side for a moment, I feel that this was a necessity for them. They have so many resorts/parks/outside attractions all flying under the WDW banner that this was needed. To carry on my "roof" analogy : the roof was old, there were some leaks but it could have even fixed with a patch but it's better to make it all new and work for the next 40+ years. I'm planning my Disney trip for the family next year and we did contemplate a California trip but I was outvoted. WDW has over 12-15(maybe more?) hotels to stay at on property, plus hundreds of dining options on property, not to mention the golf, water parks, and mini golf courses. I can see how having a 1 swipe system would be a huge selling point. Vs California I believe has 3 partner hotels? Fewer restaurants etc. as many have said it's a completely different animal. If this succeeds you are right. This will be the absolute envy for years to come. It will absolutely crush Universal. If it flops, well Universal has got a new land coming soon as well. Personally I see this evolving into a digital version of the old system with fewer limits. We are still in the "beta" stages of this. Once the bugs are worked out... I was the one who said you cheated the system (though legally). If you took it harshly, my apologies. Not intended that way. I know what you did was "legal" but still sort of unfair. But like I said, I would have done the same thing. So maybe Im not the one you were thinking of. Oh well! This is an extremely expensive thing, but I thought the Magic Bands help create unique experiences and linking all parts of your vacation together. In the future, isnt it suppose to be able to push your name/info to characters to create a truly unique experience? This upgrade reminds me of when you have to replace your roof or the wiring in your house. It can be very pricey and for the same amount of money you could buy some really cool stuff or even an expansion/remodel. -

No offense to anyone on here, this comment is more directed at outside reviews of the system. Most of the complaints I have heard about this system from outside sources is that you cant run around collecting Fast Passes to all of the rides. To me that makes the most sense of why this system was invented. I get why some people do not like to preplan their trips. There is a certain flair to running around the park and experiencing it as you go. Its a natural flow to go from ride to ride. To me, I think the idea of getting "reservations" to certain rides is actually a good thing. I think. -
Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?
shark6495 replied to skylar.heizer's topic in Coming Attractions
Well I wouldn't think a 300 got standup would be possible just due to G forces. I think that King Cobra would have hung around much longer if it wasn't the first (or one of the first) by Togo. I remember during the last few seasons KC had decent 20-30 min lines on busy days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

To be honest in the article it only says two rides are having this done Soaring and the Frozen meet and greet. Maybe I missed where it was said to spread to other rides. Maybe this is just an over reaction to two extremely popular rides? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
