Thoughts/ reviews on new haunts for Haunt 2013
coasterfanatic83 replied to ki95's topic in Kings Island
Sorry about that! I'll edit it out if you get rid of your quote so we don't ruin it for anyone else! -
After riding Adventure Express Friday night, I can tell you that Banshee will be very visible. While sitting in the station and exiting it you are looking directly at the lift hill! And yes, I think the batwing will be pretty close as well.

Thoughts/ reviews on new haunts for Haunt 2013
coasterfanatic83 replied to ki95's topic in Kings Island
After going on 9/27, I have a few reviews, but I'll try not to spoil anything! Board to Death: Well put together. There were a few surprises in there! Very nice! Backwoods Bayou: NEVER AGAIN. Madame Fatale's: Fantastic as always. Cornstalkers: Untapped potential, especially in the corn area. Delta Delta Die: A definite letdown after Massacre Manor. That traditionally one of my favorites, and DDD just wasn't the same. Hot Blooded: Good show, but it was too loud for me. Ed Alonzo's Psycho Circus: Fantastic. Not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. Edited to remove spoiler. -
I was wearing my "Santa's Candy Castle" shirt from the store in Santa Claus, Indiana on Friday night, and the guy who gives the "don't touch my actors blah blah blah" speech in Carnevil told me that if I get set on fire I would be out out with frozen hot chocolate. He then asked if I did the Avalanche Challenge while I was at the castle. (http://www.santascandycastle.com/shopcontent.asp?type=Visit ) I thought it was cool that he knew about that!

They had better be running the no-huddle read-option with that speedy lineup!

I thought the pulled pork was very good, as was the Redleg Burger, and the wings, and the ribs, and the chips, and the buffalo dip (I think there is a trend here). Prices are in the 9-12 dollar range, obviously depending on what you get. This place has established itself as a staple in my visits and I am very glad they decided to put it in.

Cedar point haunted?
coasterfanatic83 replied to CP&LERR Fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I have heard stories involving Muller's Carousel Horse. http://www.ghostsofohio.org/lore/ohio_lore_18.html -
Much like Shoot the Rapids, Pilgrim's Plunge (Giraffica) was just not fun to me. I thought it was boring, and there was a little bump at the base of the drop that was uncomfortable.

Gatekeeper's was very fun to watch! Thanks for doing these!

What is your seat of choice on Kings Island's coasters?
coasterfanatic83 replied to Hoeter's topic in Kings Island
Diamondback: 1-2 or 15-16 Vortex: 1-1, 5-1, or 7-1, depending on what experience I am looking for Beast: Front seat or the back car Flight Deck: Row 7 Drop Tower: I like to sit in the very front -
This issue usually gets better as the Haunt season goes on. Actors get used to what they are doing, how they work with each other, what is effective, etc...

Lagging Server?
coasterfanatic83 replied to The Interpreter's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
Is there any chance that the lack of speed is a result of your wifi or wireless network? I'm not a tech guru by any means, but couldn't that be a possibility? -
Typical symptoms of B&Mitis are rational thoughts and cohesive arguments that take into account all of the facts about both manufacturers. Typical symptoms of Intaminitis are blind arguments based on only one small aspect of the manufacturers, failing to consider (or outright ignoring) much more important facts, and refusal to listen to reason. You tell me which one a person is more likely to find annoying and thus which one more people will complain about. Some people must have more severe cases than others. I'm sick of people ON BOTH SIDES failing to even acknowledge what the other side is saying and blindly making ignorant statements while trying to justify themselves and their preferences. I'll leave it at that and head for the door on this topic.

Where is the B&Mitis thread? I see just as much B&M talk as INTAMIN talk. And, quite frankly, I think more people on here have B&Mitis than INTAMINitis.

Kings Island doesn't have as many birds as Cedar Point does, so I doubt it will be as bad as Raptor.

"Uh-oh! Guess what day it is?? Guess what day it is! Huh…anybody? Julie! Hey…guess what day it is?? Ah come on, I know you can hear me! MikeMikeMikeMikeMike! What day is it Mike? Hahahahahaha! Leslie, guess what today is?" "It’s HAUNT Day." "WHOOT-WHOOT!" How happy are folks who save hundreds of dollars switching to GEICO? I’d say happier than an enthusiast in September. "HAUNT DAYYYY! YEAH!"

I told my mother the first time she rode it that sometimes it comes to a stop and rolls back into the station. She wasn't happy

Don't be so quick to assume that is false. I'm no physicist or engineer, but people smarter than I have explained multiple times on this site how it is extremely possible.

It's the Sling Shot ball.

The vests have been changed and the issue has been supposedly resolved. It's good to hear that there are no issues any longer.
