stashua123: Those are liens on Kings Island's property from some type of mortgage. More refinancing of Cedar Fair's debt, probably.

There's now a live traffic camera at I-71 and Kings Mills Rd, for anyone interested. http://cmhimg01.dot.state.oh.us/images/artimis/CCTV092a-L.jpg Full list: http://www.buckeyetraffic.org/services/Cameras.aspx

If we're looking at webcams, why leave out the WXIX camera?

This is probably a timing problem, with responses to the XHR requests coming back in the wrong order. It's not very serious.. though I suppose it could cause you to miss reading a post. It's likely related to the occasional site slowdowns that have been occurring recently, which are themselves almost certainly caused by the database (mysql) server. One of the other websites on the same server could be running an application that overloads it.

Why are we even talking about the Crypt building in this thread? Perhaps it's time to put things in perspective. Use as a Haunt facility represents significant value for the park, specifically by: Lengthening the park's operating calendar by 30% Selling virtual queuing passes Selling tickets to a themed dining experience Selling photos of groups entering the attraction Eliminating the need to construct a purpose-built structure

^ Should that statement frighten me?

What I want to know: how can you make anyone cry with KI's Dodgems at their current speed?

The chicken was dry on 7/18 as well. I never did see anyone else ordering food there, so things got to sit out for long time. With a heat index around 100, souvenir cup refills were the hot item of the day. Save for the dried out chicken, everything else I had was good. I get mine with rice, extra beans, lots of onions/peppers, jalapeños, salsa, and cheese. I'm always wary of uncooked, cut tomatoes at quick service places.

Round and round... Does the park want to give us more ERT on the Coney Mall spinning rides? Maybe it's time to get this thread back on the topic of new (or old) scooters? All this round-and-round discussion is considered online buzz... and that's good, right?

Oops, double posted.

^ That's nothing compared to blood in a Mammoth raft. According to Ohio state law, a rider has a duty to refrain from certain actions if so instructed, as well as to meet conditions required of riders. Interestingly, Ohio's rider responsibility law only mentions written requirements. Cedar Point broadly requires, in writing, that you exhibit both safe and appropriate behavior. Refusing any reasonable request from a ride operator is neither safe nor appropriate behavior. Punching yourself in the eye, whether instructed to or not, isn't safe or appropriate either. As to what degree you are required to follow a verbal instruction to refrain from certain behavior, and what consequences from the state and/or the park may result from a failure to do so, you'd need to consult with the park and/or a lawyer. By the way, if a police officer (including bonded park security) gives a lawful instruction, not complying could be a serious criminal matter. Insert some sort of IANAL disclaimer here.

^ A guest certainly doesn't have the right to "continue as they please" if convinced that a ride operator's request to stop a behavior is wrong. Guests have a responsibility under Ohio state law to follow verbal instructions from ride operators. After complying, a guest could certainly complain to management or to guest relations if the request was in error.
-
^ The refusal to stop being the key offense. Anyone ignoring instructions from a ride operator on a ride platform should be ejected, or worse.

After seeing a lady get strapped into a Maverick restraint that was wet with a viscous bodily fluid, sweat is the least of my concerns. About cleaning at Mantis... don't be in line while they're hosing off a protein spill. You may get wet. A group of people were seemingly enjoying the water falling from above last week, until I freaked them out by informing them of the source.

Depending on where I am, I use a Linux desktop, one of two dual-boot laptops, an Android tablet, or an Android phone. The advantage of the desktop is that it's always on, so it can act as a server or run a task that takes a long time. Compiling code, rendering a video, or recording TV shows would be difficult on a mobile device. I'm usually connected to my desktop via OpenVPN when I'm using any of the other aforementioned devices. Also, when I'm tying more than a couple sentences, I prefer to have a full keyboard on a laptop or desktop. Imprecise mobile keyboards and speech-to-text systems annoy me to no end. Case in point: I recently used speech-to-text to send a message including the word "yellow". I almost lost it when it came up as "YOLO".

Are we overloading the forum software?
malem replied to jcgoble3's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
If you're getting such errors, wait a couple minutes and try again. When errors are frequent, such as right now, try loading several threads into tabs at once. This way, you can read without risking interruption. -
Favorite ride at Cedar Point.
malem replied to CP&LERR Fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
My favorite would have to be Millennium Force at night. Never gets boring or uncomfortable, no matter how many times in a row I ride it. -

The lagging for me is occasional, likely due to HostGator's server being overloaded. IPB will become very slow when memory is constrained, the database is overloaded with queries, or both. These resources are shared with other websites. The vast majority of the time, loading and submitting content is sufficiently quick. -
^^ You couldn't get Borders, Polaroid, or Atari to return your phone calls? EDIT: nextpage'd

For the fall operating season, through the end of Haunt, prices for new and renewed passes have been the same. A renewal discount has been offered after prices start going up. Fall gold pass prices were $69.99 in 2011 (for the 2012 season) and $79.99 in 2012 (for this season). Adult platinum pass prices were $149 (discounted from $179) and $164 (discounted from $195), respectively.

There's a previous discussion about favorite web browsers: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/26679-favorite-browser I take it you meant to ask about search engines, though?

You could watch it on TV via your smartphone, on the Bier Gartens patio, in the Red's Grille, and/or at the Festhaus. Given the locale, you certainly won't be the only Bengals fan in attendance.
