In grade school, I knew someone who purposefully used British English on assignments despite being an American English native. The teacher would give him back his docked points back when he smugly pointed out that he used a correct form of the language.

Is the present owner of the interest formerly owned by Dan Koch publicly known?

Picture #19 with its caption: At least they got the name of the park right.

Perhaps selling a full-price admission ticket at the gate is a foreign concept there.

It could even be A/B testing to check whether forwarding users from that domain is still necessary.

It's much better for the website to omit a Fast Lane attraction than to include an erroneous one.

Websites aren't always up-to-date. I rode Lake Erie Eagles multiple times in 2014, and the ride definitely had a Fast Lane queue.

I'm guessing that they don't (yet) have a button on the POS terminal to (re)print a receipt for the last transaction. So there's nothing the cashier can do until the programming is fixed. Many establishments don't automatically print a receipt for a small credit card transaction, but not being able to print one on request is bizarre.

Just a reminder that there is less than one week remaining to register & buy tickets.

^ Bus parking information from the park's website: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/images/uploads/file/2015ParkingInstructions%282%29.pdf Of course, even if the bus qualifies for free parking, your school might charge field trip attendees for transportation. (bus, bus driver, fuel, insurance...)

I'll go with wood. Taller isn't necessarily better. A new wood coaster could compliment Kings Island's existing selection of wood well. 300"? That's almost as much drop as Woodstock Express! (Sorry.)

^^ My first thought was that it looks like a very poor facsimile of the Holiday World website. Looking at the code, whoever set up that site apparently didn't know that .less stylesheets are templates that are supposed to be compiled before being sent to a web browser. Probably contributing to the unusable layout. Entire chunks of CSS are missing.

The site states that "preview weekends" begin this Saturday. Not really expressing confidence that the park is ready for Opening Day.

There were some updates; notably the grilled chicken was replaced with (white meat) pulled chicken. The pulled chicken doesn't look as appetizing in the serving tray, but the taste (on the preview night, at least) was an improvement from what was served last season.

KI preview night, 4/17 (only for passholders who renewed by 11/6)
malem replied to malem's topic in Kings Island
Last fall, Kings Island promised an exclusive 2015 preview night to passholders who renewed on time. Thus, the event was offered in the way it was. -

The event was advertised to and intended for those who had renewed on time. They kept track of who was eligible, as reminder e-mails were sent out several times. Since one of the purposes of the event was to have a(nother) dry run before Opening Day, I'm not surprised that they forewent actually enforcing special restrictions at the admission kiosks. (Had they anticipated many ineligible passholders showing up, perhaps they would have made a different decision.) -
Please, not a Rotor! It's one of the few ride experiences I thoroughly disliked, and I'd really hate to be in one during a protein spill!

GOCC Spring Fling @ Kennywood (Sat, May 2)

Just bumping to note that the online registration deadline is this Wednesday. -
I rode White Water Canyon both Friday and Saturday. The water was cold, and the tower operator was spot-on with the geysers.

^ Thanks, I'll have to try that!

^^ You have a dining plan, so I suggest trying it before knocking it. I suspect that this will be a more consistent product. The grilled chicken was sometimes burnt and/or overcooked. The cooking method for pulled chicken would be easier to get right. On another note, the finely shredded mild cheddar at Hank's has been replaced with a coarsely shredded Colby Jack.
-
In previous years, you could get a free replacement if you had yet to use the pass that season. (eg. if you renewed in the fall, but lost the pass before spring) I don't know whether this is still the policy. Since you have used your 2015 pass, you would need to pay the appropriate replacement fee. Note that you can only do this once per season; if you lose it again, you're out of luck.

Hank's Burrito Shack now features pulled chicken. It's pretty good; I think I prefer it over the grilled chicken served there from 2012-2014.
