  1. Gold Passes are now $117 for new purchases, $98 for renewals. So renewals are cheaper by $19... but yesterday's price of $85.50 was cheaper still. Regular passes are $106 new/$90 renewal. Again, yesterday's Gold Pass prices were cheaper than even the regular renewal price. Platinum is $187 new/$182 renewal. Yesterday's price was slightly cheaper, but not by much ($180). So yes, there are renewal discounts, but you would have been better off buying yesterday anyway.
  2. Doesn't Firehawk have an inline twist. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk Yep. Two of them back-to-back, in fact.
  3. The $69 price was last offered in 2011. Last year they were $79. In both cases, the price was the same regardless of whether you were renewing or purchasing new. As I said above, look for a renewal discount tomorrow (but today's price will still be lower).
  4. They typically do have a special price for renewals. Look for it tomorrow when prices go up. The current prices, ending today, are so low to begin with that a further discount is not warranted.
  5. And faeriewench might have a few things to say about that...
  6. ^ No, KIC is a fansite, not a club. A club requires payment of a membership fee to join, which KIC does not. That said, KIC still sometimes has its own special events at Kings Island, but that does not make it a club.
  7. I did not know that you got that picture of me on my phone. And to clarify, YoungStud and I are not "besties". Just give me a few months to put his trolling behind me, OK? Thanks for the report!
  8. The confusion with KI's Vortex has begun. I just had to correct someone about that on Facebook.
  9. Since the problem seems to be confined to IE11, try turning on Compatibility View and see if that fixes it. Instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
  10. Not just no, but hell no. It's WAY too soon for another Beast-related name. There are too many rumors surrounding SOB for that name to be reused for a long, long time. I'm not even sure that 30 years is long enough to wait before reusing The Bat.
  11. About a week before the Banshee announcement, KI "tested" the layout of the Banshee page on the live internet, using the new Bat logo that accompanied today's announcement and a photoshopped picture of Gatekeeper in an attempt to deceive us into believing that we were getting a wing coaster called The Bat, rather than the popular belief of an invert named Banshee (which obviously turned out to be correct). The fake page was live for about half an hour before being taken down, and succeeded in confusing a lot of people on here who were previously certain of what the new ride was going to be.

    The Bat

That name belongs to what is currently Woodstock Express.
  13. It works for me now. Previously, it was displaying this image: http://www.universeguide.com/pictures/hotlink.png
  14. Think of the humidity in that building. I like the idea of enclosing the lift and turnaround, but I like the drop open. But just think how ugly that would be. Better to leave it alone in my opinion. Unless they want to rename it. But I'm at a loss for spooky names. Maybe something related to the mythical river Styx? Or they could subtly imply a relationship to the River Styx by calling it "Boat on a River". But my Crystal Ball informed me that to expect that is just a Grand Illusion. And to expect them to change that ride too after just changing The Bat, you're just Fooling Yourself, and if it doesn't happen, you won't be having The Best of Times. And I think this post has established that I have Too Much Time on my Hands. I don't know what you're making references to, but it's still funny. As for me, I was just trying to make a subtle jab at those of us that rode the log flume Sunday.
  15. I saw that one too. Has the guy been living under a rock all summer?
  16. If they enclose Congo Falls, I hope they turn the heat inside the building up into the 80s. Then I can sanely ride it no matter what the temperature is outside.
  17. PKIVortex is correct. The coin lockers are $2 for a single use. Once you lock one of them, if you want to open it later and add something else or take an item out without emptying the locker, you have to pay another $2 to re-lock it.
  18. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152280924048368&set=a.226729858367.174830.155893938367&type=1&comment_id=13382149&offset=0&total_comments=174 Can you say "missing the point"?
  19. Internet Exploder? I suggest you get a real browser, like Firefox or Chrome.
  20. I just hope in the name of God and all that is holy that they DON'T ask Kennywood for instructions on putting lap bars in an Arrow train. Why? What's wrong with them at Kennywood?
  21. So much for that... I thought that we wouldn't get any word on this until spring. Once again, Don does the unexpected.
  22. I was waiting to see how long it took for somebody to bring this up. I think this is a valid concern, given that there are still members of the general public out there that think that people died on the original Bat.
  23. Because Wikipedia prefers secondary sources over primary sources, as all encyclopedias should. EDIT: Here's the Wikipedia policy in question: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:PRIMARY
  24. Best to wait until a secondary source (newspaper, etc.) reports it, as the press release would be considered a primary source. (double post because it's a PITA to edit a quote in)
