https://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/things-to-do/special-events/Bobblehead-Days The first 5,000 guests through the turnstiles on Sunday the 20th will get a Charlie Brown bobblehead, and the first 5,000 on the 27th (closing day) will get a Snoopy bobblehead.

You mean Instasuck? I mean that literally. You can apply any "filter" you want to your photo, and it will instantly suck.

But don't forget that the park is only open on weekends, so they have four days and the better part of a fifth day during which they can do work that can't be done with guests in the park. Take a portion of the fence down Monday morning, work for four days, and put the fence back up on Friday afternoon before Haunt starts.

This has actually been posted on KIC several times, but it's difficult to find on here unless you know how to do a Google site search because the local search function won't accept search terms with fewer than four letters, including "the", "bat", and "POV".

"Wave lagoon"? I've never heard that term, but based on the description in parentheses, I would interpret that as a much smaller pool with smaller waves for younger kids. Unless something else to the contrary has been said elsewhere, I would not expect a second full-size wave pool.
-
Just checking: did they explicitly say "additional" or "second" wave pool? Or did they just say "new" wave pool? The reason I ask is because The Beach Waterpark said they were putting in a "new" wave pool for this year, and it turned out to just be a remodeling of the existing one that reduced the maximum depth from 10.5 feet to 4.5 feet.

...but only in the front seat.

I don't know. If you're talking about the first two rows on the south side of the marquee (where gold pass parking used to be), those were blocked off Friday night as well.

We were occupying most of the second row from the front in the center section. Where were you sitting? -

Kings Island Trip Report 04OCT13 w/ a little PTR

How have I done the same thing with B&M? I have in fact said several times on here that I have no strong opinion either way. I'm more of a proponent of the concept that both manufacturers have pros and cons, which is the rebuttal to which I referred above. I have not shoved that down people's throats while ignoring a rebuttal to my argument, because there hasn't been a rebuttal to that argument. Instead, I have to keep repeating it over and over in an attempt to get a certain user to understand that, and if he had ever actually rebutted my rebuttal, I would have taken the time to respond point-by-point. But since he kept pushing the same crap at us, there was nothing new to rebut, which resulted in the same rebuttal being pushed at him over and over. Bottom line: he argued for Intamin, I and several others rebutted that argument, and he ignored that rebuttal and kept propounding the exact same arguments anyway. I can't change my argument to respond his new arguments because he hasn't provided any; the ball is in his court. -
Coaster supports do not come from a 3-D printer. Though that would be mighty cool if they did.

The problem, from my perspective, was not that he was posting his opinion that I disagreed with, but that he continued to shove it down our throats over and over well after the majority of the community here had rebutted it, and he did so without really attempting to address the rebuttal (that both manufacturers have their pros and cons and that KI/CF is looking for reliability). It's the last part—continuing to propound the same thing constantly without any reasonable attempt to answer the community's rebuttal—that really irked me. -
Yes, I was!

No disrespect, but X-Treme Flyer is in the background. Why wouldn't Slingshot be in the background? Skyflyer is probably there to provide a visual height comparison, as it's a similar height to Banshee. I think (but could be totally wrong) that the Slingshot towers are much shorter and thus probably weren't needed.

CONUS. There's those abbreviations again. I think you just have more tolerance for that type of poster than I do. You see an adult who loves Intamin and you love to discuss with him, whereas I saw a troll that insisted on bashing B&M a lot. Difference of opinions. You're entitled to yours and I'm entitled to mine. I think some of the other sites I spend my time on and how they handle users in the gray area between legit user and troll like this have colored how I perceive similar users here like YoungStud, and it's difficult for me to shake that perception. I just need some time. -
He was referring to our KIC nametags that malem created that had our guesses circled on them. He was indeed correct that nobody had all six items on the nametag (attraction type, name, manufacturer, model, height, and number of inversions) correct.

Great report! As for me and YoungStud, I think his annoying posts and banning were still too fresh in my mind last night. I did warm up to him a little as the night went on, but I don't think there was any chance of a full make-up happening last night. Perhaps if he shows up at a KIC meetup next year when now-recent events are further in the past, I might be able to bury the hatchet and possibly even make friends. But that's in the future. -
Double post to say that I just saw on Facebook that KICer 1lillybug (I think that's her screen name) won the 8:00 contest. Laura and I did the 9:00 contest. Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain

Well, yes, without trims or an MCBR, the train is moving faster when it reaches the end of the course and thus needs a longer distance to safely stop. As the speed increases, the distance needed to stop the train increases exponentially.

Technically speaking, that is indeed correct according to Dictionary.com. It's probably not what you meant to say, but it is correct nonetheless. However, they also never speak of their secrets non-abusively, either.

I'm also a horrible artist.

I believe she snuck in #199 while the rest of us were getting last rides on The Beast, then got #200 a couple weeks later.
