Exclusive Banshee Construction Photos 10-24-13

^ I'd rather have the purple depicted in the renderings. -
Mine, I believe, was 129 point something. However, they are not using an actual decibel reader, but rather a microphone connected to a tablet, which is running an app that simulates a decibel reader (and isn't very good at it, hence the abnormally high numbers).

Five words: Madame Fatale's Cavern of Terror. It won't be that bad. You've already seen the inside with the lights on. Now just turn the lights off and add a few dozen people like you and me in costume. Simple as that. I'll be with a friend with his first time at Haunt, and he isn't really interested in the haunts. I enjoy night rides. Excuses, excuses. Seriously, you should give it a try. Break away from the group briefly if you need to.
-
Did you ride in the front row? Totally different ride experience than in the back. Simply phenomenal! The 4 corners are the best IMO. I rode front right corner the first time and back right corner the second time.

In other words, the left side. Both of my rides were on the right side. Unfortunately, it will be at least 2015 before I make it back up to Cedar Point to try the left side.

Now that's funny. Did he steal it from your video, or is that from Don's footage? The angle suggests that it came from Don, which is corroborated by the fact that Ryan did this minutes after posting photos that Don gave him special access for. It's not hard to believe that Don gave him more than just special access.

BoddaH1994 did that to me. I'm still trying to decide whether to keep it or change it to something else.
-
I hope that doesn't mean that it is equally boring....

When they're told to go home.

Suspended and inverted are not the same.
-
But is the staging area actually within the construction site proper? If not, then what Don said was true... from a certain point of view.

Can you say "loose article"?

For someone who showed up early two days ago for the Charlie Brown bobblehead: 1. How big was the crowd at the gates when the gates opened? 2. How was the giveaway handled? Did they enforce strict lining up in the order you arrived, or did they allow a mad rush to the turnstiles when the rope dropped? Or were there not enough people there at 10:30 for it to matter? Just trying to figure out what to expect when I get there on Sunday morning.

^^ ...more likely Fast Lane Plus.

I have a slight preference for this variation: If you wanna ride The Beast, clap your hands! If you wanna ride The Beast, clap your hands! If you wanna ride The Beast 'cause The Beast is really sweet If you wanna ride The Beast, clap your feet! Gets me every time.

I believe the reason that many rides run reduced trains in rainy weather is to help prevent a collision should a train slip through a wet brake and inadvertently enter the next block when it's not supposed to. However, I invite someone with more actual knowledge of this situation to correct me if I'm wrong. Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain

Well, I apologize for you getting the raw end of that deal. The rain here stopped completely before the park opened, so I had a nice day. How was your day? Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain

I'll make you a deal: you try to have fun today in the 49 degree rain at Cedar Point, and I'll try to have fun today in the 54 degree rain at Holiday World. Deal? Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain

The seats, I believe, are sitting in a backstage area between the picnic grove and the parking lot. I think they can be seen on Google Maps. Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain

Sneaky indeed. Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain

I-75 is "the perimeter"? Looks to me like it goes through the heart of the city. And Google Maps labels I-285 as "The Perimeter", not I-75/85.
-
I've driven through downtown Atlanta on I-75 four times, twice southbound and twice northbound. I have yet to encounter significant traffic that was enough to make me turn off my 55 mph cruise control. Maybe it's because both southbound traversals were about 2:30 pm and both northbound traversals were about 10:30 am, thereby missing rush hour every time.
-
Yes, thank you for posting that. That's a lot of interesting history. It's particularly interesting to hear a little bit of the story behind a change that I was around for, namely the fake runway on the brake run. Again, thank you.
