  1. Oh, wonderful. jcgoble3, a 26-year-old single guy who usually visits KI by himself
  2. First, welcome to KICentral! Second, this is not selfish at all. This forums exists partially for questions like this. You can ask anything you want about Kings Island here. (Just don't ask about the construction in Action Zone unless you're willing to get swallowed up by the tiny thread entitled "Starting to Decode 2014". ) Finally, to actually answer your question, Friday for sure. That's a school day for many kids and a work day for many adults, which takes away a huge part of the crowds that would be there over the weekend. Monday (Labor Day itself) and Sunday would still have light crowds, but those two days would be busier than Sunday due to the fact that kids are not in school and most adults are not working. Saturday, as with any week, will be the busiest.
  3. Slingshot. Boring as hell and not worth the money. So like, rides involving cats or kittens or perhaps with a feline theme? Not sure if KI has any of those Holiday World's new teacups are kitty-themed. You won't ride those?
  4. If it even exists, which I doubt. And why would track already be manufactured and en route to the park a month before the lease was signed, and almost as long before the financing was in place?
  5. Not if it's a really dark green.
  6. As in the cost of parking in the first place, or as in the cost of the parking ticket you get because you can't find a legal place to park?
  7. Does he design them to go up and down like a roller coaster?
  8. You can show me all the signs, apps, and greeters you want. In the end, when it comes to determining wait times, there is no substitute for your own experience and judgment. I trust nothing else. Even wait time signs at Disney World have been way off in my experience. Some examples: Soarin' said 35 minutes, I waited a full hour. Mission Space said 15 minutes, I walked on. Star Tours said 20 minutes, I waited 5.
  9. Looks like the pictures have been viewed too many times, exceeding the uploader's bandwidth allowance (I think it's 10 GB/month for free accounts). The only solution is for the uploader to pay for a Plus account or wait until August 1.
  10. Oh where, oh where are our Beast pics? Oh where, oh where could they be?
  11. I can believe 1,000/hour for TTD. When I've been in line for it, the crew typically dispatches one pair of trains roughly every two minutes. Each train holds 18 riders, so a pair of trains holds 36, and dispatching every two minutes means 30 train pairs per hour. Multiply those last two numbers together and you get a capacity of 1,080 per hour.
  12. Let's just say that he knows a lot about the industry. Whether he has inside information or not, I honestly don't know.
  13. As well as the occasional 20-something single coaster enthusiast that just needs a relatively quiet break.
  14. I had to re-register a few weeks ago also. Something must have happened to their email list.
  15. I was sitting in Kringle's Kafé at Holiday World, eating a piece of peanut butter and chocolate fudge.
  16. Now Don is just playing with us. I love it and I'll bet he does too.
  17. I was wondering the same thing,, Their music stage in the park by 4th of July is not very big if I remember correctly! Having seen a show on said stage today, I'd hazard a guess that it only has seating for about 15% as many people as the International Showplace at KI. So yeah, it's pretty small.
  18. I have previously measured the distance between the main gate and the Soak City gate via pedestrian pathways in the parking lot at almost exactly half a mile, which is 9 to 10 minutes at a brisk walking pace. Using that as reference, I would estimate 15 minutes, maybe 20, at a fast pace from Flight Deck to Mondo Monsoon.
  19. On Skyflyer, buy your ticket in the morning while it's still $5, then come back to ride it in the afternoon when the price has gone up. You'll have a much shorter wait.
  20. Did it really take just nine months to fully construct and test that huge thing? That seems awfully quick.
  21. ^ That is a nice video! I'm sitting in Plymouth Rock Cafe at HW right now, and you've got me wishing next year's Color Me Pink 5K was here already.
  22. Possibly relevant: The 7th car has been removed from both Voyage trains, leaving them with six cars each (same as Raven and Legend). A crew leader told me that this change was made around last Saturday, but he didn't know why the change was made.
  23. Wonderful post! (That's called "sarcasm" if you haven't already figured that out.)
