I've got something better: Pringles BBQ chips.

^ One of these days, I'm going to have to ask someone to point out the Flight Commander queue to me, because I've never knowingly seen it.

Kings Island ranked 15th most visited park in the U.S.!
jcgoble3 replied to Adventuro's topic in Kings Island
The original data on which this article is based has been discussed here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27470-2012-attendance-figures/ As stated in that thread, Cedar Fair does not release attendance figures for individual parks, so the TEA's numbers are unofficial estimates only and cannot be assumed to be reliable. -
I don't know. Both of the people in this report seem like a couple of them dang coaster nerds. (Well, look who's talking! ) Glad you had fun together! Nothing like a day in the park with a good friend or two.

A tad early to be getting stuff out for Haunt, isn't it?

The main editors of the Kings Island article on Wikipedia currently consider The Racer to be one coaster and Surf Dog to not be a coaster at all in coming up with the count. If you disagree (I do on The Racer) and care enough to do something about it (I don't), start a new thread here to discuss it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Kings_Island . If you can point to a secondary source like a newspaper article from within the last couple of years that cites the number of coasters, that would improve your chances of getting it changed. Again, I don't care about it enough to argue that it should be 14, since 13 is correct from a certain point of view.

Thanks For An Awesome Event!
jcgoble3 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Also, thank you to everyone at Kings Island that was involved in this event, from Don himself to the ride operators that came in early to run the Coney classics and cycle trains on Flight of Fear for us, to Matt from maintenance taking time to talk to us about Firehawk and show us that LIM, to Ed Alonzo for taking the time to answer all of our questions without rushing us even though we probably forced the 7:00 show to be delayed, to everyone else that I'm forgetting at the moment. Thank YOU for making this event a success! -
On the contrary, I remember a couple years ago, while waiting out a rain delay in Diamondback's station and listening to trivia questions from the girl on the mic, that one of answers was that the park considers Surf Dog a coaster. I don't recall the exact question, but I distinctly remember that specific answer.

Why yes, I have, Tater Salad.
-
Perhaps she was escorting a young child of hers (maybe 8 or 9 years old) through the line, intending not to ride with him/her but rather to cross the train and wait at the exit for the child. I've seen parents do that before.
-
So you'll never believe it?

And it was a trademark, not a patent. Two completely different things.

You can also park a LOT closer to the Soak City gate than you can at the main gate, even if you upgrade to preferred parking at the latter.
-
Solution: park near the Soak City gate and enter the park there, then take the train to the dry side for the day. If you want to be there early enough for ERT, take 10 or 15 minutes in late morning to move your car from the main area of the lot over to Soak City, then re-enter through the Soak City gate. Problem solved.

No. I tried that (except with the strap of my fanny pack instead) all day on Saturday. One side of the POS handle constantly kept coming off mid-ride, and I would have to use one hand to physically hold it in place the rest of the ride. Only the friction from being pressed between my fanny pack strap and my shirt kept it from flying away immediately. Don't try it.

My understanding is that bags, backpacks, etc. must go with you, but individual loose items like souvenir cups can be left on the shelves at the back of the station.
-
*sigh*

On weekdays in June, Fast Lane is highly, highly unlikely to be worth what you pay for it. Firehawk is the only ride that will not allow you to bring bags or other loose articles into the line, and nothing except prescription glasses and flip-flops can be left in the station (note that unlike previous years, they do NOT allow you to leave souvenir cups in the station this year). The log flume also will not allow you to leave anything in the station; however, your loose articles can ride with you (but they WILL get wet). Everything else either allows you to leave loose articles in the station and/or take them with you on the ride.
-
What about the log flume? Congo Falls?
-
Based on that, I'd say that aliens are clearly superior to humans.

Or maybe the track will shoot between the KC footers, creating a "near miss" element. Anything is possible at this point.

Yes, the URLs worked. I copied/pasted all of them. Those are some nice photos. I didn't take the time to watch the videos, though (in general, I rarely do).
-
The first of those two links gives me a "content unavailable" error, which suggests that you either deleted it or don't have the privacy set to public. As for the OP, simply copying and pasting links should automagically create a hyperlink, as the quoted post did. Also, copying and pasting the URL of a YouTube video should automatically embed the video. I don't know why either of those didn't happen in the OP.
