  1. It's all in the money. We all know that. $7.00 is a lot of money. But, let's say 500,000 people do Dinosaurs Alive! and this film, that is $3,500,000. And, without charging the attraction that would just be $3,500,000 less.
  2. They could easily just remove Actio....the big building with a movie in it and add more of an expansion back there, instead of worrying about it.
  3. Oh, and so far from what I've read, there are no movements or "action" with the seats. Unless they just left that part out.
  4. Wow. Can we just have fun for free? You pay $51.99 to get in (gate price), pay for crazy expensive food, buy souvenirs, get a hotel, and they expect you to pay $7.00 for a darn 10 minute movie and walk through attraction - and you can't even buy separate tickets? By the way, that was all from the GP's point of view.
  5. Yes, it would be a nice addition to Action Zone to have it removed and expand the area, but, like said many times before, it brings in a lot of visitors and green. Maybe, someday, they could remove it (like they have to a LOT of attractions), but in the distant future.
  6. Boomerang Bay enhancements, definitley. Passing by the water park the other day in my car, I could see Tasmanian Typhoon had paint coming off of it. The place has no trees. There hasn't been a new slide (or even ATTRACTION) added to it since what, 2003? It really needs some help.
  7. Just saw this on the webcam, that's a big group! I don't know why, but that interests me.
  8. I thought Pilgrim's Plunge was the tallest. Actually, I don't think, I know. Maybe they did this so there weren't double the bragging rights for Holiday World!
  9. WHAT IS Kings Island DOING?!? First, Wind Seeker 2 was all messed up, then, they add the I-Street cam and get rid of Wind Seeker 2, now there's a Diamondback camera????!!!??!?!?!??
  10. That's gotta be one of the best jokes I've heard on here in awhile. I really wish they'd get rid of that stupid dino soon.
  11. Thank you so much for posting this. I never would have found it myself! Tried to find me sometime in the video, but I never made an appearance...
  12. Love your trip report! The thing about the power outage - this happened to me a couple of weeks ago, although I'm not sure if it was a power outage. None of the water slides were running and the wave pool waves weren't going. It was so weird! I agree with you about the pricing of the place. Way too expensive! Many people have suggested to them that they sell daily passes so you don't have to stay the night. That way, it would probably be $25-35 per person to be able to play in the arcade, go to the water park, etc. without staying the night!
  13. Same here, although I did see my Raven t-shirt getting a lot of pointed looks. I wasn't sure whether to say something or not, though, since I did see a Voyage t-shirt or two there as well... Or were there just a lot of enthusiasts at the park? Or is Holiday World actually popular around Cincinnati, and I've just never noticed it before? Wearing a Coastermania hoodie got a lot of looks and even started some conversations. Wow, that was no way that was you wearing that hoodie. Did you go into the Diamondback single rider's line not too long before opening?
  14. Ahhh...but still, what were they doing so close to Wind Seeker?!
  15. Getting a construction tour, possibly?
  16. I forgot about Zephyr! That was down until about 3 today. Plus, I could not STAND the employees at Chick Fil A. Waited for FORTY-FIVE minutes to get darn chicken nuggets. Only two people were working there! Edit: Also RFYLCB didn't have its water running for a while!
  17. Beast was closed. WindSeeker was closed. Vortex was closed. Action Theater was closed. Flight Deck was closed. The Crypt was closed for about a half hour. That's all the downtimes that happened today. (well, besides WindSeeker).
  18. No changes with the actual ride of the Crypt, was expecting a few more flips but there were only two. One backwards and one forwards.
  19. Who was wearing a Storm Runner shirt? I swear I know whoever it is from here!
  20. #1: The Beast @ Kings Island (Wooden Terrain Coaster) #2: Millennium Force @ Cedar Point (Giga Coaster) #3: The New Texas Giant! @ Six Flags Texas (Steel coaster?) #4: Alpengeist @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg (Inverted) #5: Prowler @ Worlds of Fun (Wooden) #6: Griffn @ Bushc Gardens Willamsburg (Dive Coaster) #7: Diamondback @ Kings Island (B&M Hyper Coaster) That's it for me!
  21. Wow! You're right! All the roller coasters are from Kings Island...I think! The singing is much better too. Still a little to happy and cute for my taste!
  22. Wouldn't that be pointless though? Many of the GP (and some gold pass holders, like myself) would like to spend Opening Day riding the new ride, WindSeeker! By the time it opens later in the day, it would be so packed the line would extend to Rivertown (kind of like Diamondback extended almost to the front of the park in 2009).
  23. Here's the thing though: most of the GP wouldn't care less if there was some wooden coaster for one second on the commercial. As enthusiasts, we know how crazy it is!
  24. This year might as well be called "NATIONAL AMUSEMENT PARK ENTHUSIASTS YEAR" because it seems like many parks are adding, fixing, and doing things to the park - especially KI!
  25. Why can't they just have a commercial showing the highlights of the park? Why I LOVE Holiday World is the commercials for it are funny, and actually show whats at the park.
