Here's a crazy idea for the WindSeeker. Paint the loading deck cement with a pinwheel "swirl" pattern that rotates the opposite way the ride goes. When someone rides in the inner seat and looks down, they would see an amazingly huge kaleidescope effect.

Best advice I was ever given has held true for any woodie: Lean Forward. Leaning against the backrest seems to put all the jolting on your neck. Leaning forward seems to distribute the jolting more evenly over your whole upper body.

What did Paramount advertise they would provide for ERT? It seems from Avatar, PKIVortex, and markr's posts there was something provided to Gold pass members, and I'm sure what they offered is what they provided. Which is what Kings Island is doing now, to their credit, providing what they advertised when we bought our passes. I intend on spending much more time and money at KI as a result of this decision. When I bought my pass it was advertised I'd have ERT on WindSeeker and Vortex, not The Beast and Diamondback....just saying It doesn't bother me because I don't go to ERT and if I did, I'd prefer the updated pair So now your not getting what you were promised. Kings Island just can't win with us huh? Maybe they'll open all 4 rides and collectively shut us all up!..... at least until those little fellers start with the rasslin' shows in October.

This is great news! (DB/Beast being reopened for ERT, not Vortex's lift chain breaking) To everyone who called and or wrote KI, this is proof that positive advocacy works. KI does listen to its patrons, and personally they have deepened my respect for how our park is managed. I love KI, and deeply appreciate them making this logical decision. If you see a manager, thank them for this move. God knows they hear enough complaints, it's got to be a nice break to be told they did something positive. See ya'll Saturday(and Sunday) !

I agree completely Timbo1. I hoped this wouldn't turn into a KI complaint thread. I'm glad it's stayed positive with great suggestions. So here's one for my beloved home park, noticed by my wife: Right before you pass through the exit/stamp turnstile look at the poster of WS on the right. The seats are blue, but turn around and watch WS climb, and the seats are clearly Red! Also KI has filled some potholes in the parking lot. A sincere, "Thank You" I love my home park.

Thanks for the info Lance. So what your saying is the gold pass lot should be attended until 6pm or until the lot is full. That helps alot. We got there today at 3:30= employee and 1/4 empty. We left at 6:30=no employee and the lot was much more full with cars of people coming in.

That's funny, do the cars still have numbers? Or do the ride ops just point and say, "ya'll take that one!" The best part of Shake, Rattle, and Roll is the front seat! Well worth the wait.

I really don't see it as whining. As someone else has pointed out, imagine the outrage (or whining as you put it) if Cedar Point after 2 months of having Millenium Force, Raptor, Maverick, Iron Dragon, and Planet Snoopy, open for ERT just decided last tuesday to shut them all down and open just WS and Corkscrew. Platinum pass holders around the country who had a week long vacation planned (that largely included ERT marathons on great coasters) showed up last wednesday to only be able to ride WS and Corkscrew all week. I assure you, that has happened to many people at KI. Also Cedar Point clearly wouldn't DREAM of not providing access to some the best coasters for their pass holders to enjoy during ERT.

We're near the end of the line to be assigned seats for WS. After op tells the last 2 people to sit in seat 63 and 64, and stops the line behind them, one says to the other, "How many seats does this thing have?"

Lance, Thank you for this. It seems you work for admissions by this post. Would you mind answering a question? Of course, I don't want you to break any agreements with KI by posting anything here your not supposed to. What is KI's admissions policy about an employee being at the Gold Pass Parking entrance? Also, what are their duties and authority if someone without a pass tries to get in? (Ok, I lied, 3 questions) Does it do any good for us to tell guess services when there's no one out there and the GP and Passers are fighting for spots? Again, please don't get into any trouble by replying.
