  1. Ooh, I like those options. Looks to include a few places I've never eaten at before. I will definitely have to get the meal deal at least once just to sample food around the park. And if I return to Cedar Point, I'll ABSOLUTELY get it, because it means I can get the wonderful Dragon's Inn corn dogs every 90 minutes. I'm a sucker for corn dogs, and those are the best I've ever had. -homestar92, running to the store to buy corn dogs now.
  2. It is possible that the decisions to paint Skyflyer and SlingShot would not be made by the same people.
  3. X was at Six Flags Magic Mountain. X2 (which is the same ride with improved theming, newer trains, etc) is still there. I personally consider X and X2 to be one and the same as far as I'm concerned.
  4. I have been having an issue lately where sometimes I will create a post and the font size will inexplicably change partway through the post. I am not in BBCode mode. It is the WYSIWYG editor that gives me this issue. It is also intermittent and I can't figure out how to reliably replicate the issue. It only occurs in the full site. I have not ever encountered the issue when using Tapatalk or the mobile site. I typically edit the post afterward to correct the font size. I can leave one alone next time it happens so I can demonstrate the issue. Also, the font size all appears the same in the editor. It is only AFTER posting that the text will sometimes randomly change size.
  5. The narrow opening in which you are expected to place your hands makes it unnecessarily challenging to dry your hands without touching the dryer itself. I cannot fathom the horrible things living on those dryers. Furthermore, if you have longer hands, you actually cannot place them all the way into the dryer without touching the bottom, another wonderful cesspool of filth and bacteria. The Excel dryers dry your hands much more quickly and effectively, and pose no risk of being accidentally touched.
  6. Most interpretive: The Interpreter.
  7. I despise the Dyson Airblades. I don't think they are remotely sanitary, and I think the Excel Dryers are far more effective. Other than the airblades, the restrooms at KI aren't half bad as public restrooms go. I've certainly seen much, much worse.
  8. Did you mostly ride during ERT? It always seemed to me that the music typically did not play during ERT for the last couple seasons.
  9. We'll do our best to ease you into the community. As goodyellowkorn182 said, we were all new at one point. Just don't take anything we say personally. Typically, we don't make personal attacks here, and the people who do will quickly be corrected by a moderator, and banned if it continues. We like to run a friendly community here. Just kick back, relax, and enjoy your time on KIC! Oh, and just a word of wisdom: be careful with trademarks. We try not to be grammar nazis, but we will be picky about trademarks. Just use correct spelling and capitalization for any trademarked terms. As long as everything else is grammatically reasonable, we won't complain. There are reasons that we have to be trademark nazis that I won't go into here, and that is in the TOS for very good reasons. If you do make a mistake with a trademarked term (as we ALL do from time to time), you'll probably get corrected by one of us. Just edit the post, don't take it personally, and carry on the conversation as if it never happened. We'd rather you make frequent mistakes and correct them promptly than to occasionally make mistakes and NOT ever correct them. And and if a user named "The Interpreter" makes posts that are incredibly cryptic and difficult to decipher, just know that you aren't alone. None of us really understand him either. But for some reason, we let him stay anyway.
  10. I usually lift my feet slightly off the floor of the boat in the wetter parts of WWC. It helps immensely with this problem, but it isn't quite a perfect method.
  11. I have made it 5 consecutive cycles on White Water Canyon without getting wet. But the sixth cycle... Let's say it got its revenge.
  12. And please, for the love of all that is sacred, no "Bring back Son of Beast" threads. We've seen FAR too many of those in recent years.
  13. When most of your friends who have never been to Kings Island can name the height, speed, and stats of all KI coasters just from being around you when you talk about them. As for how I can possibly be friends with people who have never been to KI, I'm not totally sure. Sometimes we all make poor judgement, I guess
  14. I knew the reference, and that song predates me. So now I feel old. I'm much too young to feel this darn old. And the white line's getting longer and the saddle's getting cold...... .....Oh Wait.... You laugh, but honest to goodness, I actually do have a worn out tape of Chris LeDoux in my glove compartment, though I would hardly call it my friend. But I have been known to pull my hat down tight and just LeDoux it.
  15. Or the Chicken Cabana. At the Chicken... Chicken Cabana! Wings and some Tenders so lean and so slender at the Chicken! -homestar92, dating himself. And most likely nobody else now that he's admitted he knows that song...
  16. I knew the reference, and that song predates me. So now I feel old. I'm much too young to feel this darn old.
  17. They could call it the "Chicken Coop", but only if it has precisely two doors. I believe the old Stunt Crew Grill building has four (two doorways with two doors each). And that would make it a Chicken Sedan.
  18. I just hope Flight of Fear doesn't lose its pre-show (is that what you'd call it?) for this.
  19. Ah, but there is some money to be made in replacement passes. You do get three opportunities to forget your pass and get a free ticket at the ticket office. After three, you have to pay a replacement fee. -homestar92, who used to have a gold pass with an Arrow looper on it, and is sad that he lost it...
  20. And some of us have overprotective mothers who are afraid of coasters, and therefore convinced that there is some danger to riding them, therefore requesting that their 22-year-old sons check in with them periodically. All this despite the fact that if I have survived the drive to the park, I have survived a ride on a FAR more dangerous vehicle than any coaster. Still, I don't really complain, because the flip side of this is that with a quick text message, I can point out that if I'm being claimed as a dependent, then the person on whom I am "depending" really should be paying for my meals. Though I don't think that works because she thinks I have a point. I think that what's actually going on in her mind is more like: "if I buy your food, will you just leave me alone and quit bothering me?" I love being the youngest child. As long as I can deal with the minor and infrequent down sides, I get all the perks of being "the baby" forever, even when I'm an adult.
  21. Hmm and Wide Hmm and Wide There's a Fountain Flowing Hmm and Wide... Who's next? Hmm and Hmm Hmm and Hmm There's a Fountain Flowing Hmm and Hmm Takes me back to the Sunday School days!
  22. It means that our new Flying Scooters will feature green, gray, and gold tubs. Duh.
  23. The picture clearly depicts a Banshee train at the peak of the Immelman. You are sneaking a view of the peak of the coaster.
  24. Now, I'm not saying we are getting Flying Eagles back, but do you honestly think Don would just casually tell you "Yup, they are definitely making a comeback next year. Don't ruin the surprise for everyone else" ? I think if a professional Public Relations official wanted to keep such a thing secret, they would be able to make a convincing denial without saying "No, it won't happen". My thoughts would be that if we were getting Flying Scooters, his response would be more along the lines of "details of our ride linuep for 2014 will be fully released later on as we approach opening day." Stock PR response that neither reveals nor denies anything specific. And then someone would hear that and come on this forum and declare that Banshee was a giant diversion and the REAL flagship addition for 2014 will be a green Intamin Giga Coaster and that they're going to tear down Vortex to build it since it's obviously sinking anyway.
  25. Now, while nobody has eaten AT Chick-Fil-A on a Sunday, some of us have eaten Chick-Fil-A food on a Sunday. For the record, it doesn't fare so well after being microwaved.
