  1. diamondhawk, per the first post in the thread... it debuts this weekend.
  2. This Is amazing. It's always nice reading KI history. Thanks for putting it together.
  3. Middle row on the back car.. best rides ever on The Beast
  4. Probably not much different than the Toby Keith Concert last night. 50 degrees and soaked to the bone.
  5. I have a guess to where this might have been located, but where exactly was it located?
  6. The thing I like about HHN is how much of a variety there is year to year. They do a great job of promoting their biggest event. I was able to go last year, and was blown away by the amount of detail put into everything from the mazes, to the set up around the park itself, to the in-line vendors who were selling "shots of blood".
  7. It doesn't start till this Saturday, so no one knows yet
  8. Yep, still no re-entry into the park after 7, so just make sure you get back in before 7.
  9. Club Blood.. not for the scantily dressed girls, but it seems to be the best themed and most complete haunt attraction at KI.
  10. I think the "Peanuts" characters present something "special", where as Nick is all around them every day. Peanuts are something that get pulled out on the holidays to watch, or when you go to Kings Island, creates an excitement tie to it. Nick characters they see on t.v. everyday. They are more "taken granted of" then "special". That's just my two cents. Good thing it's not Lucy, she would charge five.
  11. I find interesting, last saturday I was there, the wait for Flight of Fear was a good hour+, the wait for Firehawk was 20 minutes.
  12. ^^ Magnum.. can you get in early on Friday's at Cedar Point during Haunt?
  13. The dippin dots guy told me they were taking out Voyage and replacing it with Son of Beast
  14. I think the best point made in the article, to argue why Peanuts characters are good for the park compared to the Nick characters is the quote: While this doesn't really work for a mall, with an amusement park, it isn't necessarily bad.
  15. ^ Were there Victoria Secret Models there yesterday?
  16. ^ Finally someone got the reference, haha.
  17. So from our very small sample.. we don't really line up that far from the "golden ticket awards": This is based on a tallied total of everyone's opinions so far. Amusement Park: Tied for 1st: Cedar Point, Kennywood Theme Park: 1st Islands of Adventure 2nd Busch Gardens Williamsburg Wood Coaster: 1. Voyage 2. Beast Steel Coaster: 1. Maverick Tied for second: 2. Diamondback 2.Mil Force 2. Int 305 Flatride 1.Delirium 2. Crypt (KD) "New" Ride: Harry Potter New Ride: 1.WindSeeker 2.New Texas Giant Park Food Tie 1.Kennywood 1.Dollywood Beautiful Park 1. Busch Gardens Williamsburg 2. Holiday World Water Ride Tie 1.Wildebeest 1. Dudley Do Right's Water park 1. Spashing Safari Cleanest Park 1.Holiday World 2. Busch Gardens Williamsburg Halloween Event 1. Universal Orlandos' Halloween Horror Nights
  18. You are correct. The main reason they didn't have Howl o Fest this weekend, is because they were never open during the day to the public. Saturday they opened at 7, and Sunday they did not open at all (to the public)
  19. Saturday while going up the lift hill for The Beast, someone saw WindSeeker, all lit up, and said "Isn't that where Drop Zone is? I guess they decided to switch the ride up a little" .. as you can see Drop Tower in the distance beside it.
  20. Mrs. Kings rattler and I collect pressed pennies from all the places we go.
  21. I wear both glasses and contacts in day to day life, but make sure to always have contacts on when planning on riding roller coasters. I do usually wear sunglasses though, without a strap on most rides unless told otherwise (i.e. Maverick)
  22. I only think this has been said on this forum 20+ times, but we still get the same responses from the same people.
