  1. Went yesterday, and my longest wait was Surf Dog.
  2. Busier than a rainy Sunday, but not as busy as a Saturday
  3. d-lo, I live 5 minutes from the park, and still spend money almost every time i'm there.. just because you live close doesn't mean you don't spend money there.
  4. Mrs. Kingsrattler and I have visited the park 20+ times this year, and while most of the times we aren't laying down 30 bucks a visit, I can't think of a visit where I haven't bought something, from a soda, to a Cinnamon Roll in the mornings. So while I don't have a lot of "big spending" days, over the course of 20 visits, my 5-10 dollar purchases add up to 100-200 dollars (from each us). If you throw in my trips to Cedar Point and Kings Dominion (where I do spend quite a bit more) that total probably jumps to around 300-400 dollars. Add the 165 dollars each of us spent on season passes, between the two of us, we probably gave Cedar Fair 1000 dollars this season. That's a decent amount of money for two people no matter how you slice it.
  5. I have shot some targets 4-5 times before.. so therefore, using your reasoning, if I hit every target, and hit a quarter of them 2-4 times, then I would have a score of 4380, therefore making it possible.
  6. I don't know about where you live, but I don't think the local police here carry around tranquilizers in their car to take down bears and lions. They're first priority is protecting the people. If that requires shooting the bear before the Zoo can get there, then that's what happens. I can bet those animals just weren't sitting around patiently waiting on the zoo to get there to tranquilize them. On another note.. this is a travesty. I am a huge wildlife person. To see this happens horrifies me, one from the standpoint that animals are on the loose, and two, because animals have to die because of what appears to be one man's carelessness.
  7. ^ If you know for CERTAIN its not possible to get that score, then you must know what the maximum high score one could receive is. Could you privy us with that information? No? Oh ok, that's what I thought.
  8. Well this is kind of depressing, now where am I going to go to get my ice skating and hot chocolate drinking on?
  9. ^ Children's minds have a way of taking the things we look to be so complicated, and see the simpleness in it all. Take for example.. Ear Muffs. The idea came from a child.
  10. ^ The clock disoriented me so bad in Holiday Horror. I usually don't get disoriented in haunts, but that definitely did.
  11. Let's hope not too many people from the GP read this topic. We need to just keep it amongst ourselves so there's no line! I for one, tried AE at night for my first time (gasp!) this past Friday night. It was an enjoyable experience! Not my favorite experience by any means, but enjoyable nonetheless. Every one has their favorite cup of tea (or coffee if that's what you prefer)
  12. From most of this thread, sounds like someone hasn't done a good job of keeping AE night rides a secret
  13. Probably not a secret to a lot of us on here.. but Surf Dog/Avatar is an amazing ride hidden in Planet Snoopy.. the airtime you get sitting on the upper rows is amazing.
  14. Hypothetical...if it were completely safe to ride, just uncomfortable...the park could keep it around and only open it during Halloween Haunt every year themed as something like "Journey Into Hell"...then people would think it was cool because it was accurate. Didn't we have a whole thread about a coaster that was a journey to hell? Oh wait, that was just journey to euthanasia.
  15. Thank you Gator, I tried to read that earlier and gave up after going through it the 5th time
  16. Neat little article. Some good tips, and some funny bits. He really doesn't like people who sit on the hand rails.
  17. As someone has once told me, (in the very near past.. like last weekend), the fact it still stands is a good sign. It is rideable... or more precisely, bearable, but not the ride experience Kings Island (read Cedar Fair) is looking for.
  18. Adena.. the builders of Kroger, High Schools, Community centers.. and roller coasters.
  19. That is what my dad said last Sunday we took a ride right when park was closing and he sat in the middle row of last car and my sister and I rode last row and I thought I broke a rib which I still think. Because you were sitting on a wheeled seat.. the back row is 5 times more rough than middle seat in that car (and no, that is not an accurate mathematical representation)
  20. I think it took a day like this past Saturday to hone in on where the Fast Lane/fright lane needs to be altered/improved upon. With a near capacity crowd and waits I have not seen in the past few years, it turns mole hills into mountains. But congrats to KI for one of the best crowds in recent history.
