I thought the same thing Teenageninja, but refrained from saying it, because I thought there would be backlash because the two you mention are from different manufacturers, where as CW's two coasters are both B&M's. IMO about the only thing i think compares between Lev. and Behemoth are that they are B&M's. One goes out over a few hills, loops around, comes back over a few hills, ends in a helix. The other goes down the first hill takes a hard right "barrel roll", hugs the ground, loops around goes through 2 high speed turns with a hill in the middle before returning to the station. The ride layouts are nothing a like.

IF Kings Island gets a Giga 2013.. keyword IF.. I really hope it is not named after a snake. I do think if DA! is here to stay, or at least for the long haul, putting it near the exhibit, and naming it after a dino.. something having to do with a bronosaurus or something, would be the best name. EDIT: sorry.. misrepresented myself.. next year should have read 2013.. fixed now.

Random Question.. at CP.. do you have to put souvenier cups in lockers before getting in line for TTD and MF?

The first hill is 110 feet tall, it drops 135 feet (drops to a lower elevation by 24 ft). The second drop into the helix is 141 ft. If I took a guess at the fastest point on The Beast(since I'm not 100 % sure) I would say it would be at the lowest point on the helix... or basically at the start of the tunnel on the first go around.

Not to mention the money spent on Carowinds this year, between the land purchase, and whatever their new announcement shall be.

I know I have seen Diamondback cups carried around Cedar Point before. Not sure if they are being filled with water or soda though. Kings Dominion states a lot clearer than Kings Island ever has though, that they ONLY take souvy cups from KD. Edit: And also, they do not take cups from previous years.

Great post avatar. Every company/organization makes mistakes/has some bumps along the road. The thing to look at is whether they learn from it.

Is there ever an announcement people are not disappointed with? A giga coaster.. one of what? 3 in N.A... and people aren't excited about it? It's 75 ft taller and 15 mph faster than Behemoth.. I think those are some pretty distinguishable statistics... unless everyone thinks the SOB is pretty much the same as The Beast.

I for one would be happy to see WindSeeker at Carowinds. I like riding Kings Island's. I like riding Cedar Point's. I would definitely consider myself an enthusiast. And you never know it might not be WindSeeker. That's just what screamscape thinks.

I would dare say a majority of people who go to Carowinds have never heard of Kings Island. Cedar Point? Yeah maybe, but its a 9 hour drive. When I was at Carowinds last year I had plenty of people ask me what Kings Island was. Just because "enthusiasts" like to go from park to park to ride different rides, doesn't mean that's what the general public does. Shoot, I even know people who like the different views CP's WindSeeker and KI's WindSeeker offers. So is it a bad move if they add a WindSeeker? IMO, no.

Has anyone seen the QR Code that has been posted on Carowinds sight? Got the below picture from screamscape.. which looks like a compilation of jpegs that get sent from the QR Code. I guess we will be getting an announcement from Carowinds on August 24th? Also the background of the qr code on their website talks about flying.. Screamscape seems to think it's going to be a WindSeeker.

Are you sure what you saw wasn't just trains? I was there Saturday (or Sunday? the days blend together at this point) and I along with Ms. kingsrattler looked all around the area, and all we saw were what looks to be trains to SOB, and a few picnic tables out in the woods. On another note though, I did find it interesting that the two "telescopes" on Eiffel Tower facing the SOB/DA were covered up. I don't find my way up the tower that often, because usually by the time I get to it, we are ready to go home, so does anyone know how long these have been like that? They are probably legitimately broke, but hey, whats wrong with a little speculation

I agree Avatar, it has a lot to do with the gun/car. I've went through half the ride before with one of the guns, scored maybe 300 points, got frustrated, picked up a different gun in the car, and went on to score 1000+ in a half ride's time.
