  1. Yes. https://rcdb.com/17.htm See the 4th picture.
  2. Agreed. I've been up there when it's windy. I would say Diamondback in the left "wing" seat. I only ride in that seat if I'm feeling really brave (and often regret my decision soon afterward lol). I think it's the scariest as you are most exposed in that seat. -MDMC, who sees Diamondback as a "challenge-by-choice" coaster
  3. To my knowledge, I have not heard any of the pre-recorded spiels in line. That being said, when waiting in line for Sol Spin, I did hear a ride op yell "Sol Spiiiin" just before each cycle started and it sounded like it was pre-recorded (and I thought this until I saw a ride-op in the "mine building" and figured he was the one yelling it over the speakers). Anyone else heard this "Sol Spiiin" yell that I'm talking about? EDIT: And yes, I played "Marco Polo Cargo Loco" in line for Sol Spin
  4. What was its original lighting package? I am curious to know...
  5. That's interesting that Orion is only slightly more expensive (in today's money, of course) than Son of Beast was.
  6. So, this is difficult, because I haven't ridden Invertigo or the Planet Snoopy coasters yet this season, but so far, it's... 1. Orion 2. Banshee 3. Diamondback 4. Adventure Express 5. Racer (Red more, though) 6. Mystic Timbers 7. Flight of Fear 8. Beast 9. The Bat 10. Invertigo 11. Woodstock Express 12. Flying Ace Aerial Chase 13. Backlot Stunt Coaster I have last year's list (from 7/19/22) on a Word doc and I'd like to say that The Bat and Diamondback have had significant movement in the past year (and to a lesser extent, Racer), mostly due to me actually enjoying the latter and the former showing its age, Oddly enough, Mystic Timbers and Beast are in exactly the same position as last year lol Also, Orion is still #1 at the park for me, even though I ride Diamondback more.
  7. I have ridden the one at Kentucky Kingdom in 2018 and I guess Sol Spin was so unique as it's been a while since I'd ridden one of those (also, didn't realize the restraints were so tight...). And I understand how it would be "too conventional for Canada's Wonderland" because they have some fascinating and unique flats (like the new Tundra Twister, for example), but IMO, Sol Spin is a step in that direction.
  8. I rode Sol Spin twice today and my first impression was that I thought it was "strange". The automatic restraint is very tight (almost claustrophobic) and the swinging motion of the ride combined with the spinning (it feels like the motion of a swing, but instead of going side to side, it's back and forth as the ride goes up and down) was weird. Also, the seating is such that unless you look around, the default view is the seat back in front of you, My second ride was better (I think because I was used to it and knew what to expect), but it's still a unique ride. After that first ride, I couldn't help but think about it as a Canada's Wonderland caliber-flat ride (as they are known for their unique variety of flats). Overall, I like its uniqueness as well the queue line's setting, nestled near Banshee and Delirium. And speaking of the queue line, I noticed that there was themed music playing over the speakers in both Sol Spin and Cargo Loco's line, which I loved.
  9. I was there earlier (3 to around 7) and there weren't a ton of people in the park. The longest line was the first time I rode Sol Spin, and that's because of the ride's low capacity - other rides were station or 1-cycle waits.
  10. I do like how much better the skyline looks; you also get a great view of Banshee (and Delirium) from Cargo Loco's line: This picture doesn't do it justice, but I really love the views the queue provides.
  11. I agree with #6, and I'll go further by saying I love Millennium Force's Y2K theming. I know I've posted it here before, but check out this teaser video from back in the day: Anyway, back to the topic at hand, I think Orion and Millennium Force are both great rides, but in different ways. Both have the speed, but Orion gives more of the forces associated with that speed while Millennium Force glides through the extended course at a blistering (and mostly forceless) pace. And that's ok that both provide different experiences.
  12. I don't mind the mist fans in line (I think they're great!); however, misting stations around the park would be great! There used to be one(a Coca-Cola Cool zone, to be exact) near Adventure Express's old entrance/ladder climb game back in the day and I'm not exactly sure what replaced that.
  13. I thought there was… I heard some guitaresque music when walking around Adventure Port on Saturday
  14. Nice! So, I was looking on the website to see when Sol Spin would open (EDIT: It’s not yet listed on the site) and I noticed that there is a filter on the ride page that groups the rides by their location in the park (as in, the Action Zone filter lists Banshee/Congo/Invertigo/DT/Delirium/Bat/Skyflier). However, it appears Adventure Express is still grouped with Oktoberfest…
  15. It was testing multiple times today. While it doesn't really have a "lighting package", per se, the bottoms of the seats do light up.
  16. I rode Cargo Loco and Adventure Express three times each today and they were both great, I really enjoyed the added theming around Adventure Express (as well as the ). While my daytime ride was alright, Night Rides are where this coaster shines. IMO, Adventure Express (still) gives the best Night Rides in the park! I also very much enjoyed Cargo Loco. Even if the spinning bar in the middle doesn't work, I believe the forces of the ride give the barrels a great amount of spin. On the one night ride I took, the two guys in the barrel next to me had theirs spinning for most of the ride. I did see Sol Spin test multiple times today and the apparatus holding the ride up (helping it to tilt) does look interesting.
  17. Awesome! Hoping to make the 6 PM PT:E show.
  18. Did not realize that the new fireworks/drone show was starting tomorrow; looking forward to it!
  19. I saw a Skyline Chili TV when I attended Warped Tour in 2018.
  20. I was wondering/hoping for the same thing as I'll be in the park Friday.
  21. Thanks again for all the photo updates! I am looking forward to seeing the progress in person soon. Is the area with the mini-water tower Cargo Loco's queue line or exit path? Whichever it is, it reminds me of pictures I've seen of KI's safari-themed areas of the past and I love it.
  22. Great photos! I never knew Adventure Express had really long transfer track. I had seen the side by side next to the break run while riding but I don't think I've ever seen that long straight track before.
