  1. Chicken Shack's bread is amazing! I used to go to Jukebox for a grilled chicken sandwich, but the food quality there has started to go downhill (imo)
  2. Thank you all for the updates! The sign looks pretty cool; the bottom part of it looks woven (even though it's not!). Also, the names on the Cargo Loco barrels are an interesting choice. Finally, Sol Spin looks like one of those Lego-esque construction sets that has some assembly required. Are we thinking AP will be finished by Memorial Day weekend?
  3. Thanks! That’s what I figured (as only the left side has been open until very recently).
  4. I hope so! I would love an Adventure Port t-shirt
  5. Thank you - follow up question: Which elevator goes to which platform? Or, put another way, can either elevator (left or right) take people to either platform? Thanks again.
  6. I feel like I should know this, but what are the heights of the two Eiffel Tower platforms? I’m thinking it’s 275 and 315 feet, but I’m not sure. TIA
  7. When I was younger, I was super heartbroken over King Cobra's removal. I never got to ride as I was too short (there was not a height checker that day, so they lowered me down as much as they could and I was still standing on my tip-toes), At the time I don't think I cared, but after it got removed, I mourned its loss for years...
  8. Sad to see that sign, but glad it directs people to other coasters by name
  9. Any of these options could be cool, but if it was up to me, I would pick the "new age Vekoma" as I don't know how many of those exist in the US. And I agree, I do want to see something that KI doesn't have. Perhaps they could go the Canada's Wonderland route and start adding some unique flats? However, I would still like to see a coaster.
  10. Thanks for the pictures @IndyGuy4KI; the aerial views make the area look fantastic! Can't wait to see the more of the progress next time I go! Also, that queue line that wraps around Sol Spin's plot is for Sol Spin, correct? I thought it was either that or extra queue for Adventure Express. TIA.
  11. Thank you to all who replied; hopefully it will be open next weekend!
  12. @beastfan11: Was Delirium open or was it just testing?
  13. That’s awesome! I saw that the foundation (as in, ride structure) was in place while riding Banshee last weekend.
  14. Where would this be? I know they are redoing the Towne Square (Veteran’s Memorial) and Summit Park has a stage already.
  15. Speaking of retractable roofs, I thought it would be really cool if Flight of Fear had one. However, that may hurt its theme/uniqueness as an indoor coaster
  16. I like The Bat and Adventure Express socks (also, there is finally merch for *new* Bat (1993) - most of the KI merch I have seen is for the 80's Bat) but I don't know that I'd actually buy them. $25 and also, I'm not that into socks. Now, if it were on a t-shirt...
  17. Interesting idea; that reminds me of that "put-your-name-on-a-Coke" promotion they did at the park years ago near the Effiel Tower.
  18. Though I was excited about the bread, I decided not to try Grain and Grill tonight. The whole idea is to get a combo meal that happens to come with a piece of bread, and I learned that if I just got the bread only, it would still be $7.99. Therefore, I got my own "combo" of Breadsticks and Mac n Cheese at Festhaus and it was yummy! Don't know if I will be trying Grain and Grill as it's a little too adventurous for this picky eater. However, for those that like this type of food - enjoy!
  19. The Bat is back! Just waited more than an hour (1 hr, 5 min, to be exact) and I’d say it was worth it. Line started to move faster once I got to the last set of downward stairs. While I’m glad I got to ride, if it’s time, it’s time. I just hope its (eventual) replacement keeps the rainforest
  20. Thanks for posting that picture; didn't know that's where the temporary VIP area was set up. The new one looks nice; I'm looking forward to seeing it in person later today.
  21. That could be cool; I remember they had one of those at The Beach Waterpark and it was a long way down!
  22. The ride is apparently still on the website... https://www.visitkingsisland.com/rides-experiences?location=soakcity And also on another note, why doesn't the park map (er, I guess the map online now?) show Soak City anymore?
  23. Again, I say... Seriously, though, I am so glad The Bat is back open!
  24. I’m kind of ok with this. It was cool and unique, but I wasn’t the best at it. That being said, it was really cool to watch actual surfers show off on that thing. Also, Wipeout Beach (still not familiar with the new names; I actually got worried as I thought this thread was about a waterslide)’s removal could make some room for expansion on that side of the wavepool. Only time will tell…
