Is this the first time Terp ever gave an opinionated post?

The Beach was a waterpark, not a dry park. Could someone help me understand how this affects dry park attendance? If not, I'll ask nicely. Please?
-
That would be amazing. It would offer a chance for everyone to experience attractions of old. But alas, rides like Screamin' Demon and The Bat would just not be very popular. Not when you can ride Flight Deck (more aggressive swinging and faster speeds- if we were to have a recreation of The Bat, we would need banking which would omit violent swinging) and Vortex (more inversions). I would love to have a wild mouse like *Bavarian Beetle (look in your quote! ), because that is something the park is sorely missing. Your idea sounds great, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't sound feasible.

CBS: Top Roller Coasters
TheCrypt replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
A fine example of the lost art of journalism. -
No doubt they would have advertised The Crypt as a ride in the fearsome four. After all, it WAS a favorite among park guests.
-
Meh. Someone did, and I recall it like it was yesterday. Whatever. I'll just make posts that use nobody from this site as a reference, because I guess everyone's unreliable as sources.
-
Then why would he proceed to say that with 10 visits, you will level up to 2? He did say it was complex, and I don't doubt that, but he DID give us a direct answer, and I'll take that.
-
This isn't news. It was previously mentioned.
-
The park themselves said that with 10 visits, you will level up to level 2.

Were the regular lights on, too, or was the station lit only with red?
-
Sadly, smoke detectors would beg to differ.

Cedar Point Ride & Refresh Ticket

After the contract is signed, will Pepsi continue with great offers, or lay back while they reap in the rewards? On the contrary, would Coca-Cola offer better deals if it were THEY who were to get the contract? I'm not sure. Has Pepsi and Coca-Cola done anything in the past for the respective parks (eg: has Pepsi done anything for Knott's in the past year, and has Coca-Cola done anything for Kings Dominion in previous years?)? To me, it sounds like the lucky company is just pulling these stunts just so they can win the contract. -
I was of the impression the water effects (or at least the splashdown) went silent in 2009, but at least I learned something! Although, I am confused so as to why they do not fill the splashdown with water anymore? Having a dry concrete pit with water stains and plants growing through the drains is not very pretty. Maybe it's because upkeep was just too much?

I've never seen them. Where are they located, and does this only happen at night? Do they only work when the rest of the soundtrack is on (the music from Lost on the lifts and queue)? By the way, what's up with the Lost music? It's barely played anymore.

Are you referring to the orange-looking maintenance lights in the tunnels? They have been present (but turned off) for awhile now. Occasionally, you will be surprised with a lot up 2 tunnel (a surprise I hate! I may be in a minority, but I wish they didn't connect the 2 concrete tunnel things with a tunnel. The light seeps in from the bottom, and I wish you could see the valleys and terrain of the land. Tangent over) It is always sad to go on the last day of the year. I always watch the park from the moment we leave, until it disappears into the trees. It certainly is sad, but you know you will have something to look forward to later on.

So Son of Beast now resides in Six Flags Great Adventure?

New Kings Dominion Record Braker
TheCrypt replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^I doubt they will. Gold Striker, Gatekeeper, the rumored addition to Knott's (although it could be early prep work, and not attached to 2013, but '14 or maybe even '15), Son of Beast's demolition, among others... Well, I doubt Kings Dominion will get another huge thrill machine this upcoming year. Maybe a family coaster of some sorts? I also reccommend changing the title of the thread before Terpy gets ahold of this thread! -
I would like to see a wax museum like what Cedar Point is rumored to get. I doubt it will happen, but wax museums are so creepy! Imagine walking past a scare actor standing still in waxy makeup, then "Boo!" *Screams and falls to ground*

None. Absolutely none.

The way you worded "Ride Wait Time" was funky. "Ride Time" doesn't translate into "Ride Wait Time" very well.
-
I suppose you could say you had an "Oops" moment.

As always, I LOVE your enthusiasm when you write trip reports. Some notes: •Flight Deck has the boom by it, most likely for track inspections. It usually sits by Invertigo, or at least it DID last season. I would get someone else to back me up on this, but until then, this is my best answer I can give. •I saw some fake walls while in line for The Beast from The Crypt's maintenance garage doors (as I like to call them). Either it is for the house or a barricade so we couldn't see in. •How many times have you seen the Ed Alonzo show?! •You should have used the spoiler button we are all so fond of now! •Yes, Cornstalkers is in the graveyard of the Air Theater. •How many trees are gone by Flight Deck? I always kick myself when I get home and scream "Idiot! I forgot to check!!!!111!!!!!one!!!!" Thanks for putting in the effort to making this another great ohiocolts trip report!

Adventure Express is not a ride that lasts 1 minute. In fact, the Express has a longer ride time than Flight of Fear.

I am so jealous of you! You have visited 2 parks in Cali that I have always wanted to visit! Glad you had a great time in each and every park. They all sound like wonderful parks. Thanks for putting this together, and I patiently await your Carowinds TR!
