I agree, there are so many Wildcat clones that I wouldn't mind sacrificing one and seeing what RMC could do with it.
-
I could care less in all honesty, their reliability leaves something to be desired. In all honesty they should spend time working out the kinks on their current rides to improve their reputation instead of adding rides we know are gonna malfunction in some form or another. I wanna see Mack excel and really take the US market by storm. I fear that seasoned US coaster enthusiasts are gonna be somewhat underwhelmed- but I can't say much considering I've never ridden a Mack myself.
-
I agree with the first two but I would want Mack to inprove on their launched coasters before one comes here. It might contradict what I've said before about wanting a Mack but from what I've seen and heard, they're not as forceful as launched coasters from Premier or Intamin. Mack launched coasters focus a lot on hangtime as opposed to forcefullness. If you look at a pov for Copperhead Strike, the acceleration seems very slow and theres points of near stalls and hangtime during parts of the ride. I know I crap on Intamin a lot but I'd rather see a blitz coaster like Cheetah Hunt or Maverick as opposed to Maxk at the moment- unless CS proves me wrong.

Cedar Point running out of room.
SonofBaconator replied to Diamondbacker27's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
There might me some more room available. According to the Sandusky Resgister, the park's on site dorms are being officially being taken down. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/story/201901090052 I had fun in that place...still space is everything. I wonder if they'll reroute Perimeter Road and another attraction or expansion of some kind. -
I don't get why there are some people who think that we're getting a wing coaster. Granted Wing coasters are a unique experience, they don't really do much for me in particular.

Very, very high

The Amusement Park Railroad Thread
SonofBaconator replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I'm currently working on @silver2005's request for Dollywood. I plan on doing both BGW and BGT during the new year -
FC Cincinnati is a German inspired soccer team so it would be cool if they added some FCC theming to Oktoberfest- similar to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kennywood.

I've been preaching for more "fun" ques in Cedar Fair for a while as opposed to being in a cattle pin, watching endless Fun TV loops, hoping a misting machine hits you. Six Flags, Sea World, and Disney have the que thing down.

Also there is a substantial about of clear land from the LCS that parallels the river that would require little in comparison to Diamondback. If the old DA land is to be used, expect some type of clearing by the opening of 2019. Personally if the DA land is used, I'd imagine it would only be a small portion there the Dino Dig site was formerly located.

Warren County Commencement prior to addition of Mystic Timbers. Notice the word "Real Estate" and "Project" repeated in the 2018-2020 commencement.
-
@beastfan11 @Maverick44 if you read the commencement, you'll see that B&M is in fact contracted to work from 2019/2020 with the possibility of them having already started work in late 2018.

Green Intamin track... Reminds me of the summer of 2013
-
That's how The Beast is in a way, it blends in with the terrain around it. I'm thinking a brighter green that reflects well in the sun will look great at the park.
-
I'm still on the green bandwagon Out of all the coasters I can recal, only a few are green: Riddler's Revenge, Green Lanterns, Raptor, and Hulk are the major ones that come to mind.

Cedar Point Fast Lane
SonofBaconator replied to Jasper's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
@MonteCristo also keep in mind that the Fast Lane and Fast Lane plus don't go into effect until a park is open for all guests. The only time that I ever would want to get a Fast Lane plus pass would be to ride Steel Vengeance and Maverick continuously just because they're such good rides -
Firehawk Leaving Kings Island 10/28/18

I can think of a few Cedar Fair parks that could get a Dive before us: Worlds of Fun, Great America, and possibly Dorney to name a few. -
Firehawk Leaving Kings Island 10/28/18
SonofBaconator replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I strongly believe that some of the old Firehawk land is used for expansion. If a giga is the coaster coming to the park then they'll need all the room for foot traffic that they can get. -
I guess they don't own the old wave pool anymore

X-Base is going to be barren this season. I'm still curious if anything will become of that land between Racer and Flight of Fear -
Sea World San Diego announced that they'll receive a B&M Dive Machine in 2020 named "Mako" along with other additions. https://behindthethrills.com/2019/01/seaworld-san-diego-announces-new-coaster-and-plans-for-2020-and-beyond/ I like how Sea World themes their rides to animals but Mako? I get that trademarks aren't cheap but it seems kinda lazy to name the ride after the hyper in Orlando. I think the name "Hammerhead" would have been a better choice but that's just me. All in all it looks like a cool addition to the park. Too bad they have a height guideline to follow

Future plans for Firehawk's station discussion
SonofBaconator replied to Codyfryguy's topic in Kings Island
I personally think it'll be a haunt attraction just because its too perfect of a building to pass up. Plus I don't know if B&M has ever used an old station for one of their coasters. -
Cedar Point Fast Lane
SonofBaconator replied to Jasper's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
@MonteCristo if you're going to Cedar Point be cautious before buying a FL or FLP pass. During my internship this past summer there were days where I rode Top Thrill Dragster 4 times in under 15 minutes and Millennium Force had no wait; granted Steel Vengeance had insane wait times which thinned out the rest of the lines. If you're staying with a Cedar Point Resort like Breakers or Lighthouse Point you get early access into the park so you can knock out a lot of coasters like Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Millennium Force, Valravn and GateKeeper before the park even opens to the GP. I always told hotel guests to do this first before considering purchasing a FL or FLP. -
@McSalsa I think the coaster wars of the 80s had a huge influence on the types of coasters Cedar Point churned out over the years. You'd never see a cloned coaster at that park like you see at Six Flags or even at some lower tier CF park. Millennium Force didn't put CP on the map but it certainly kept it a relevant park in the tourism industry and even more so with TTD and many other coasters that came after.
