@Hawaiian Coasters 325 no, I'd prefer to have to have two seperate coasters. I can't recall the last time Canada's Wonderland has had a record breaking coaster so there's no need to beat them. Besides, its more about the experience than the height anymore. We'll get our giga soon and maybe a dive coaster in the far future when the trend dies out. Now that doesn't rule out the possibility of a giga with a 90° drop as Fury is 81°

The Amusement Park Railroad Thread

Chapter 4- Carowinds There isn't much to be found on Carowinds without some serious digging. Carowinds used to have a railroad that circled the park and featured two operating steam locomotives and one that was never used by the park. Here are some pictures I found from Carowinds Early Years- a fan site that specializes in old Carowinds history. http://www.carowindsearlyyears.com/train1.html #1 #1 was an old prairie engine rebuild by Crown Metal Products. The locomotive is currently owned by a businessman out in California and operated on the Pacific Coast Railroad with an ex Six Flags Astroworld Train and an ex Cedar Point train. #1 renumbered to #3 at the PAcific Coast Railroad with the original Disneyland passenger cars #2 #2 was an original Crown locomotive that bares a resemblence to Kings Dominion's old #601. It operated at Carowinds, South of the Border Park, and eventually ended up at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch but was too but to operate continuously on the rails. #2 at South of the Border SC #2 renumbered to #1 at the Neverland Ranch #3 #3 was never operated on the Carowinds railroad and is on display in Huntsville, Alabama. http://trains.nute.ws/4-4-0/P&W3.htm -
The Amusement Park Railroad Thread

I've been looking for information but I can't really find anything since I've been extremely busy with school and work. I'll get around to it -
https://www.tampabay.com/things-to-do/travel/florida/Busch-Gardens-reveals-plans-for-Tigris-Florida-s-tallest-launch-roller-coaster_171692154 I'm honestly not surprised at this since Sea World Parks has already added two of these coasters across the country. When I heard the headline "Tigris" I thought it was a RMC Gwazi but it turned out to be a Premier Rides multi launch. Seems like a good fit for the park, especially right in the Jungala section by the tigers and how the only other coaster in that area is SheiKra.

By 2035 Kings Island Will Have What?

Viagra's Eiffel Tower. -
With the addition of employee dorms, I'm curious if we'll see more flat rides in the future. We have been blessed with coasters since the Cedar Fair buy, but flat rides we have not. In terms of flats, we're pretty far behind other parks like Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland. Heck I give Six Flags credit for still adding flat rides to their parks.

I didn't want to start a new thread so I'll ask here, does anyone see Congo Falls getting the axe anytime soon? I don't know how feasible relocating the ride to another section of the park is. The only true reason to close it would be if there was a better attraction to put in that area. Thoughts?

Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?
SonofBaconator replied to skylar.heizer's topic in Coming Attractions
I could see two coasters toppling Diamondback's height in the future. First, obviously, is a giga since those immediately outrank a hyper in terms of height. Second, I could possibly see a dive coaster in the far, far, far future; when dive coasters are at virtually at every popular park. I have a theory that dive coasters are going to be the next invert given their popularity with the GP and how compact they are. I'm honestly surprised there isn't a single dive coaster at any Six Flags park, especially since they love to clone coasters and rides. -
Because you always have concepts to post when there isn't really anymore news on a giga besides the document I posted on page 108.

KI wins Golden Ticket Award for Best Kids' Area again
SonofBaconator replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Kings Island
Well it does but when you construct a coaster, you have to cut down trees to make room for equipment and such. -

Kiddie Kingdom looks like a traveling carnival -
I'm sure those lockers will be utilized if the new coaster comes to X-Base

Diamondback has the best layout of all the hypers ever made- it uses the terrain to its advantage and has that splashdown ending. A lot of those coasters that are in the top 10 for steel and wood incorporate terrain in some type of way. -

Plus they have 4 kids coasters and a kids log flume to boot. Planet Snoopy, in theory, is an amusement park inside of an amusement park. -
I'm afraid that any change to Planet Snoopy will hurt its chances for winning another golden ticket award. I don't know how popular the petting zoo is but I feel like you could add some more rides in that area. I still think a new coaster would be nice.
-
@McSalsa Would you said that said KK hyper would be better than Diamondback?
-
I think it was used to be either a shaded shelter for animals or an animal holding house back when LCS existed.
-
I wonder if the park will receive more haunt talent with the addition of employee dorms.
-
I said it before and I'll say it again: rebrand- remove the existing props theming, repaint the track and supports, and change the trains to fit a western/ antique theme. http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/p_345_3124_knotts_berry_farm_pony_express

SonofBaconator replied to skylar.heizer's topic in Coming Attractions
From a GP perspective, imagine a coaster that's as tall, if not taller, than the Eiffel Tower. People would go nuts. -
I think something that needs to change is the gap between rides and haunted houses. I remember when the train, antique cars, and the late Phantom Theater were all haunted attractions. I wouldn't mind if they sacrificed their weakest haunt maze to bring these back and have scare-actors throughout the rides. Heck I wouldn't mind if they changed the shed to have haunt jump-scares.

This^ I should have been more specific.
