Should PKI bring back the Smurf Ride?
SonofBaconator replied to TopThrillDragster's topic in Kings Island
I'm just going to leave this here https://enchantedamerica.wordpress.com/2014/09/27/smurfs-enchanted-voyage-kings-island-oh/ -
Along the lines of night experiences, I'm wondering if the train hours will stay at 9 or be extended till 10 like it used to be.

Your avatar is making me think of Gargamel riding Vortex

Don't go full Carowinds, we like our racing coaster! RIP Thunder Road -
Would restraints like these work on a coaster like Vortex? https://mack-rides.com/products/rollercoaster/launch-coaster/

As a Communication/ business major who has taken a handful of marketing classes I'd say Cedar Fair appeals to the current market very well. If you have any questions DM me and I'll be happy to help you!

I'd prefer a Sierra Sidewinder type ride over the traditional Wild Mouse

Gigas are harder to come by than wild mouses though...

Should PKI bring back the Smurf Ride?

Holy thread bump Batman! Quick, to the bumpmobile! @Shawn Meyer The smurf ride was a redo of the enchanted voyage dedicated just to the smurfs. I'm sure @LongLiveTheSmurfRide could write a book on it -
I'm still confused on the whole story thing. All we know is: The Miami River Lumber Co bought a ton of land for the trees with plans to use the railroad as a means of transporting the lumber. A strange grown of vines and foliage started taking over the area by a medusa looking creature. There were hints that the train was a "major key" when teasing the ride in the summer before the pr release so maybe that could mean a little more than just a teaser. Whatever's in the shed has to be pretty epic to require riders to ride 3 times to truly know.
-
I wonder if it will be the same effects during the day and night. For example if I ride MT during the day and see what's in the shed, will the train behind me see the same thing? Same goes for the night ride. Will every ride see the same thing? I always thought the affects would alternate like per cycle like on Verbolten.

I really want a dive machine but I know we won't get one in the near or even distant future with the addition of Valravn at CP.

Rivertown was never initially themed to a river. It was originally supposed to be called Frontierland but that would bare too much relation to Disney. They decided to name it Rivertown because it was more unique and reflected on the placement near the Little Miami River as well as the Ohio river playing such a big part in the Cincinnati history and economy. Rivertown was always more of a lumber/mining company with the early log flume, "Beast Canyon," Rivertown Mining Company, and more recently the Miami River Lumber Company.

Mack is up there with the likes of B&M and RMC when it comes to innovation. Once more Mack rides start hitting the US, Intamin will be pretty much obsolete.

I'm wondering if there's enough in the budget to theme parts of wwc and the train to MT

I'd kill to have Pony Express and Sierra Sidewinder from Knott's in place of Backlot Stunt Coaster.

So the only land that can be utilized is the old Lion Country Safari. It's relatively flat, (compared to other parts of the property), it's pretty clear and open, there's plenty of room to work with- especially with an L shaped layout, and there would still be plenty of room to spare for future projects if needed.

I figured it was wolfpack. I saw your congratulatory KI Instagram reply

Ouimet said that there won't be any tampering with the front entrance so there would be no point to have it go that route.
-
Do you think there will be lights integrated into the train's headlights'? Highly unlikely if they were on the whole course of the ride with KI's awesome night ride track record. It would be cool if they were lit in the station and turned off right before the first drop and turned them back on again as the train approaches the shed.

We need a green coaster
