^hmmm that looks just like Mystic Timbers queue I would hope in the segments where they can have a whole queue lane open in between for the left and right separation that they will do that. -
Exactly! Instead of celebrating the park can open, people are now criticizing that the park doesn't do enough to market itself. Let's see if people feel that way once the reservation system opens up and they cannot get a reservation because they were not fast enough and it "sold out"! KI will have plenty of demand for attendance and will probably hit whatever cap they are required to work at almost daily. Proof that they have the product people want and why they market the way they do.

And not everything on this forum is about YOU - I was not referencing you - where did I say I was referencing you? I was simply pointing out how much CF spends in advertising since people seem to think they don't spend money marketing the park. But since you brought it up, do you know for a fact that CF doesn't spend any money on social media platforms to improve their reach or is that just a high school kid's experience based on your own free personal social media accounts? Take some of the advice @Oldschool75offered you earlier...

I guess single riders do not need to worry about being paired with someone next to them this season. -

Possibly Eiffel Tower - kinda hard to social distance in the elevator LOL. I think any indoor show is gone. We know Grand Carnivale is gone (despite them still offering that as a selling point to purchase a Gold Pass in 2020 LOL). Festhaus could be closed unless they take out a lot of tables or put up shower curtains or plexiglass. And we may see other rides closed simply because they cannot find staff. Would the indoor rides be closed? -

Things can change, but according to this article (and the media is wrong sometimes), masks will be required both for patrons and employees and both Cedar Fair parks will open with a reduced number of guests. Another article posted a few pages back in this thread indicated that attendance would be capped initially at 20%, so that would be an attendance of roughly 13,000 to 15,000 based on park capacity that employees have posted elsewhere in this thread. According to posts on this thread, typical weekday is 23,000-29,000 guests, so this reduced capacity of 13,000-15,000 guests would be approaching half of say a typical Wednesday crowd. https://sanduskyregister.com/news/249128/dewine-husted-impressed-by-cedar-points-reopening-plan/ -

What we don't know is are these areas that Universal designated as areas you are allowed to remove the mask and this person is not reporting that part as that doesn't fit their narrative? If I stood right next to this sign and took a picture, I could make the same claim, but would be wrong... Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, just asking the question... Next we will see signs go up that drinks must remain in designated areas -

Because the lawsuit said open immediately LOL and June 19th isn't immediately - even though they couldn't open immediately if they wanted to...and the lawsuit asked that the Health Department never be allowed to close them down again EVER for ANYTHING... -

And on a hot day, someone drives 30 minutes or more to the park in a car without working AC, has to park far away, is out of shape, and has a temporary elevated temperature hoofing it to the entrance gate since there are no trams will not make for a good scene either... -

I agree! What a sad society commentary when someone is smoking in line and anyone (whether it be another guest, employee, or security) kindly reminds/informs them there is no smoking in line and they go off and say they will smoke wherever they please. I have seen altercations over this. No joke - last year at CP a dude was smoking a cigarette in the queue line at Magnum and was next to get on the ride and was literally blowing his smoke into the employee's face standing there and NOT A THING was said to the guest...I pointed it out to a super and they shrugged their shoulders. It comes down to training. And training probably is more safety oriented than park policy oriented. And management willing to stand behind and empower and reward employees for doing their job. Maybe it is their job to enforce it or maybe it is their job to inform the guest and call security for non-compliance, but most people do not like confrontation, especially a young teenager wanting to work in rides. Again there are exceptions and we have ride-ops on this forum that do a great job, but I have witnessed smoking in station and when reported to a ride op, they simply shrug their shoulders. I have also seen ride-ops from this forum going above and beyond and be walking to/from break and stop a guest to inform them about the smoking policy. Or even better, they are a guest in the park and bring it to the guests attention! But I have also seen security walk right past someone smoking and it was obvious they were smoking and do nothing or a guest points it out to them and nothing...enforcement is inconsistent at best. Security at KI can or will only do so much. Rarely have I seen them actually throw someone out of the park. If Diamondback calls for security because someone had their phone out, it usually follows the route of the security person tells them of the policy and they go about the rest of their day. If the guest gets unruly, that is when they may get tossed. Again always exceptions and your experience may vary, but that has been mine... -

It is sad that people refuse to follow whatever established rules they agreed to follow by entering the park that puts employees in this situation to have to enforce the rules! If people think the rules don't apply to them, then build their own park and make their own rules -

Get ready for the complaints to pour in from people that bought the season long FL if they are not available this year (although they were extended into next year to keep them "whole") I can already see people saying they will not go to the park if their FL pass isn't available... Parks have been put into an almost impossible situation this year - no matter what they do, a good chunk of their base is going to be ticked with whatever requirements the park develops to open. We have people saying the will not go if they do not make masks a requirement, and others are saying they will not go if they make masks a requirement, as well as those that have implied they plan to do whatever they want once inside the park as they will not enforce whatever policy they have, and those that will not attend because they do not believe the park will enforce their own rules... At the end of the day, there will still be a big enough demand from whichever group that plans to visit the park to make it worth the parks investment to open... -

They are linked somewhere in these 116 pages of posts LOL. Edit - here is one I found quickly: https://www.cleveland.com/business/2020/05/cedar-fair-considering-capacity-limits-virtual-queuing-in-reopening-of-cedar-point-other-parks.html and from their Q1 conference call: But what I can say is that given the fact that most of the parks don't operate anywhere near theoretical capacity and only close to half, we can do numbers that are significantly less than theoretical capacity and still be at a very profitable level in terms of daily operations. -

Earlier in this thread, employees had said it was around that 65,000 number, so 20% of that would be 13,000 guests. They will have a demand for much more than that...based on previous articles Cedar Fair reps reported most parks run at 50% capacity during the summer, so a typical Wednesday at the park will now be half of what we used to see using that analogy. A lot of social distancing can occur with that number, except for at Orion -

This is an even more telling piece from that article: In response to a reporter’s question after Friday’s press conference, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted said the parks will conduct temperature monitoring prior to entrance. DeWine said capacity would be capped at 20% to start, and work up to 50% later in the season.
