  1. Well that is of course for a parking lot coaster that traverses the entire length of the lot. Take that Carowinds Or maybe the lot is finally getting a repave. Or maybe the marketing department is going out and painting random dots and adding stakes to see how KIC responds (cross-threading). Or maybe something else entirely.
  2. Wouldn't be the first time they made announcements at the park that were contrary to what they were doing. Earlier in the day Orion, Beast, Eiffel Tower, and Train employees (maybe others as well) were saying that they would cut those two lines early and not re-open after fireworks. One has to wonder if the large crowds played into them extending ride time after the fireworks.
  3. This will be interesting to see how this plays out moving forward.... https://www.wlwt.com/article/gov-mike-dewine-has-tested-positive-for-coronavirus/33535243#
  4. They still perform out by Zephyr...
  5. Imagine the headlines IF/when Warren County goes red...
  6. Looks like many in the industry over anticipated how many would return to parks... https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/disney-ceo-bob-chapek-says-234213554.html https://www.mynews13.com/fl/orlando/attractions/2020/07/31/more-layoffs-at-universal-orlando-coronavirus-impacts https://miami.cbslocal.com/2020/08/04/another-round-layoffs-universal-orlando-resort/
  7. ^It was closed Sunday, but open today.
  8. Apparently FUNtv doesn't have much love for Orion either
  9. Land being seeded and strawed is not necessarily an indicator of how long a plot of land will sit vacant. Per stormwater regulations, any disturbed land that will be left idle for more than 21 days needs to be seeded and strawed, even if they plan on doing construction 25 days from now...contractors complain all the time about that timeframe on active sites and have been known to occasionally move some dirt around to "loophole" that regulation LOL. When they performed the seed and straw may be more of an indicator, except for when it isn't. If they did seed and straw within 2 days of them last disturbing the land, it may imply that it will be sitting idle for more than 21 days but less than a year, so 22 days from now they could begin construction... If they did seed and straw within 7 days of them last disturbing the land, it may imply that it will be sitting idle for more than 1 year. So the bigger question could be when was the last earth movement activities and how many days between it and seed and straw? But even then there are exclusions - is any of the soil considered stockpile or was any of this work near a stream as different time frames and intervals sitting idle come into play. Could seed and straw simply be the final "deliverable" of the demolition contract and the timeframe was accelerated so they could get off the site and get paid? TL:DR - More than likely it will be years, but seed and straw by itself is not an indicator. Any disturbed land sitting idle more than 21 days is required to be seeded and strawed.

  11. Park is "slammed" today relatively speaking compared to days other than opening weekend. Diamondback was almost a full queue with partial social distancing as an example. Despite the weather being cooler, the worse non-compliance of masks and social distancing I have experienced. Security is on top of what they see though, but they can't catch everything. They may need to go Disney route and no drinks in midways or queues...several people with empty cups in queues saying they are drinking. Your experience may vary.
  12. Would one of these be the phone...if so they seem out enough that an employee would have seen them...now if they work is another story... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3462007730476558&set=pcb.1223407491325699&type=3&theater&ifg=1 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3462007873809877&set=pcb.1223407491325699&type=3&theater&ifg=1 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3462007780476553&set=pcb.1223407491325699&type=3&theater&ifg=1
  13. There was a site you could go to and see what level you were - levels 1 to 4 based on spending and maybe visits. They never really defined at what amount it took to get to each level, but the items obviously increased in value with each level.
  14. I had posted in another thread that it looked like CFA without waffle fries LOL. Plus I posted if it was at Chicken Shack I would pass. I rarely have gotten what I thought was decent chicken - either the oil hadn't been changed in a while, the chicken was to tough or hard, etc. Never had the consistency like CFA does. I usually eat the salad without the chicken LOL. Rarely do I take more than one bite of the chicken unfortunately.
  15. You are correct - they cancelled it and then changed in June when the Governor gave guidance about trying to still hold portions for 4H and junior competition, so the offerings are way down from past years.
  16. 18. Let's hope it remains a conspiracy theory, especially if all this ends up being is Chicken Shack on a bun, forget it LOL. The Shack usually make a decent salad, but maybe once or twice a year I find the chicken to actually be worth eating LOL.
  19. Or it will become the latest conspiracy theory along with downed webcams - this is a replacement for Chick-Fil-A
  20. ^ Looks like Chic-fil-a without waffle fries LOL.
  21. 2 sight-seeing boats at Niagara Falls show stark difference between social distancing in US, Canada
  22. This didn't age well Indiana Governor requirement today directly impacts their already opened parks! Personally though I think if someone doesn't want to hear about coronavirus, then skip this thread. For the most part I feel the conversations have been informative and we have seen some members change their opinion on the topic, likely in part to what has been discussed here. Are there some discussions that go off the rails too bad with clearly someone either trolling or being unwilling to listen to other viewpoints, sure, but certainly that has been the exception and not the rule on this forum. Some people have been very good defending their position or opinion with sources and I believe have been informative posts. I think some of what is being discussed here is better than the media or political spin we are getting from news outlets. Maybe change the thread title to "Coronavirus related discussion" and let it carry on?
  23. At Ohio Governor Press Conference: DeWine just made masks mandatory in Ohio...with lots of exceptions...goes into effect 6pm tomorrow night. Travel advisory requiring 14 day self quarantine for states with positivity rate exceeding 15%. Some State fairs were not following guidelines and requirements, so he gave notice to upcoming fairs that they will be enforcing this going forward and will shut a fair down if not complying. EDIT - Indiana governor now issuing face mask requirements starting July 27th indoor as well as outdoor where social distancing cannot occur...with exceptions. Grades 3 and up will require masks in school.
