Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare New in 2026
Awesome! Well done Kings Island! I remember going to Epic Universe and being disappointed that there weren't any shirts for the specific rides. Still waiting on a Stardust Racer shirt!

As a musician, this story really piques my interest!

LOL I just saw my mistake there. Toy Story Mania is at Hollywood Studios! But smartphone shaped blasters... oh my gosh that would be hilarious.

I can confirm. My kids love the blaster rides. Toy Story mania was way up there for the favorite at Toy Story Land.

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare New in 2026
I'm very happy with this. I love that we're getting something that is unique and a throwback to the park itself and not just IP.

Bye bye, Boo Blasters
I wonder if the trains will pivot similar to the omnicoaster model of Cosmic Rewind.

Bye bye, Boo Blasters
That is so cool! I wonder if that's what Disney's Monsters Inc. roller coaster will be using?

Six Flags CEO Richard Zimmerman to Step Down
Precisely. Did I overpay staying at the Grand Helios for my family's stay at Epic Universe? Yes. Did I still do it and have a great experience? Also yes. Visiting Disney and Universal is extremely expensive. It's also amazing, and addicting. I'm already saving up to take my family back in 2 years. That's how much we adored the parks. I used to have that feeling with Kings Island. I didn't feel it this year for sure. I, as a consumer, am not saying I want us to be nickel and dimed and basically have our wallets stolen. I'm just saying we're okay with paying a bit more for better investments in quality.

The biggest thing the board needs to realize is that a lot of people today are willing to actually pay more for better experiences and higher quality. Especially those of us with families.

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
Exactly. I think I previously somewhere on here shared the story of my wife's reaction to the news on day 1: "Isn't that the cheap, discount theme park chain? Why would Kings Island go with them?" I'll maintain my stance that this merger was a terrible idea from the start, and shouldn't have happened. At the very least, they should have tossed the SIX brand and stuck with Cedar Fair, which until recently was a reputable brand that the general public equated to parks of quality.

Bye bye, Boo Blasters
That ride was a huge hit for my kids this summer.

Bye bye, Boo Blasters
The timing of announcing this is interesting. I feel like if this was part of the 2026 family thrill ride, wouldn’t they have announced this much earlier in the summer so families would have more time to say goodbye? Maybe I’m overthinking this…

Bye bye, Boo Blasters
Personally I’d love to have an indoor boat ride again.

Kings Island to add “family thrill” attraction in 2026
I agree. I wasn't a fan of this merger when it was first announced and I'm still not convinced it was a good idea. Cedar Fair would've been just fine without Six Flags. And I think our own dear park would've been far better off without being sucked into the corporate conglomerate nightmare. It's basically catching strays from someone else's mistakes and choices...

Looney Tunes Planet Snoopy Retheme Concept
I think I’m in a minority here, but I have never really like Looney Tunes… Bugs Bunny annoys me. Just my unpopular opinion.

Kings Island to add “family thrill” attraction in 2026
I'm planning to buy Holiday World passes for next season honestly. Even though I live 3 hours away we've had a lot better experiences at Holiday World this year vs. KI...

Kings Island to add “family thrill” attraction in 2026
I think it's getting less and less likely we're getting something next year... In fact, it feels more and more likely we're going to be losing more in the next few years. This merger was great for some people, but I think for most of us consumers it's been a negative. I hope I'm wrong and that down the road things will get better, but as of now I'm pretty apprehensive on the future of our park...

OFFICIAL: The Conjuring is coming to Kings Island Haunt
Extreme horror stuff isn’t my thing, but I’m happy for those who are big into it. My brother and his family are pretty excited.

What’s Dollywood up to?
Dollywood continues to put themselves into the premier tier of theme parks. With everything that’s happening with SIX it’s nice to see some parks continue to thrive and invest in their customers.

I have always loved Raging Bull’s layout. I was hoping our Orion project would’ve been sometime more akin to it, but it is what it is! Glad you’re having a good time!

Oh heck yeah, Chicago style dogs are awesome! My first ever was with my uncle at Wrigley. As far as chili dogs? I agree. Very few come close to a Skyline coney.

Yikes, that drive is bad. I have family that lives in Chicago. I usually get up there to visit once every 5 or so years. They’ve always just rode the train into the downtown area.

You survived one of the most boring drives. Indy to Chicago is just brutal. Flat land and wind turbines as far as the eye can see. In regards to Indiana Beach, I agree with ya. It’s pretty tacky and outdated. They’ve got some nice rides for sure, but something always kind of felt off when I would visit. Having Kings Island and Holiday World nearby doesn’t help. The standard is just much higher.

Cornball express is such an underrated ride. Just a fun, snappy little woodie. Glad you made it safely, enjoy!
