It should be noted: They are very strict with how we do things here because we have a very strong relationship with the park itself. We are essentially the closest thing to an "official" forum. What we do and say can be seen by some as representing the park.

The process is very early. Keep watchin' what they do people. Fun times are ahead for us all! I have a gut feeling there's a name floating out there that will throw us for a loop!

So cool to see the speculation thread has begun. I wonder if the weather (rain, rain, rain) has played a role in the timeline for clearing out certain areas.

That looks amazing! I'm stepping back in time! I can't wait to take my daughter so she can experience all of this stuff. It really means a lot for Kings Island to focus on these details.

Ah, I remember walking in to a glorious fanfare and seeing International Street. It added to the magical experience, one I hope I can reciprocate for my daughter when she's old enough.

@SonofBaconatorI was thinking along the same lines. I think this summer Kings Island is going to hit some feels for the older generations.

Man, John Matarese has gotten lazy with his writing. Is that really news worthy? I've had work colleagues coming up to me telling me "Hey did ya hear Kings Island announced their new ride?" I'm like... "uhh... no. That's a fan submission. Very well done, but it's a fan submission..." Social media has completely gone off the rails with false information and news. Although it is keeping the park in the buzz, so that's a plus for the PR group I guess!

While the capacity and mechanics of the ride weren't the best, it was very fun when it was working. Did they do any hints about the future?

I still remember when King Cobra came down. Tomorrow will be an emotional day.

Has there been any news on when the announcement will happen? Is later this week meant to be Friday the 28th?

I just hope that speculation is true and we get something to replace what we lose. The conference call stuff about cutting costs has me a little worried.

We all can't be happy I guess. As a father, I am very encouraged to see these finally return! A past poster would be preaching patience at this point. Good things come with time. And as always, look at what they do, not what they say! Lord I miss the Interpreter!

Sorry that happened to you beastfan. I hardly ever eat while in the park, mostly due to the heat and riding rides. Cost as well... $19? For wings and fries? If I do eat during my stay, I always pick the LaRosa's on International Street when it's less busy (usually 2 or 3PM). The less busy those restaurants are, the better the service quality. When it becomes a mad house with long lines, well, those teen workers usually get a bit frazzled.

I just want to say, that in my awkward teen years, I always found this forum as a safe place to unwind, to learn and see other people with a different eye. Though I didn't join until 2013, I was an avid reader way back in the early 2000s. This website helped me stay sane and even happy. And you were a part of that magical experience. Keep doing what you love. Let that fire motivate you. You can do anything. I don't have to wish you luck. You create your own. I know you will succeed at whatever you choose to do next. Sadly zero times this year. But not sadly, it was due to the birth of my first born child! She's worth missing a season for. Plus, I can't wait to take her for the first time!

Very sad tragedy. The story has now reached CNN http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/25/world/queensland-theme-park-fatalities/index.html It appears there have been issues with the ride before.

Another one just got put into place, fully level. The next one should be the apex.
