The timing of announcing this is interesting. I feel like if this was part of the 2026 family thrill ride, wouldn’t they have announced this much earlier in the summer so families would have more time to say goodbye? Maybe I’m overthinking this…

I agree. I wasn't a fan of this merger when it was first announced and I'm still not convinced it was a good idea. Cedar Fair would've been just fine without Six Flags. And I think our own dear park would've been far better off without being sucked into the corporate conglomerate nightmare. It's basically catching strays from someone else's mistakes and choices...

I think I’m in a minority here, but I have never really like Looney Tunes… Bugs Bunny annoys me. Just my unpopular opinion.

I'm planning to buy Holiday World passes for next season honestly. Even though I live 3 hours away we've had a lot better experiences at Holiday World this year vs. KI...

I think it's getting less and less likely we're getting something next year... In fact, it feels more and more likely we're going to be losing more in the next few years. This merger was great for some people, but I think for most of us consumers it's been a negative. I hope I'm wrong and that down the road things will get better, but as of now I'm pretty apprehensive on the future of our park...

Extreme horror stuff isn’t my thing, but I’m happy for those who are big into it. My brother and his family are pretty excited.

Dollywood continues to put themselves into the premier tier of theme parks. With everything that’s happening with SIX it’s nice to see some parks continue to thrive and invest in their customers.

I have always loved Raging Bull’s layout. I was hoping our Orion project would’ve been sometime more akin to it, but it is what it is! Glad you’re having a good time!

Oh heck yeah, Chicago style dogs are awesome! My first ever was with my uncle at Wrigley. As far as chili dogs? I agree. Very few come close to a Skyline coney.

Yikes, that drive is bad. I have family that lives in Chicago. I usually get up there to visit once every 5 or so years. They’ve always just rode the train into the downtown area.

You survived one of the most boring drives. Indy to Chicago is just brutal. Flat land and wind turbines as far as the eye can see. In regards to Indiana Beach, I agree with ya. It’s pretty tacky and outdated. They’ve got some nice rides for sure, but something always kind of felt off when I would visit. Having Kings Island and Holiday World nearby doesn’t help. The standard is just much higher.

Cornball express is such an underrated ride. Just a fun, snappy little woodie. Glad you made it safely, enjoy!

I’ve been super depressed coming back from my family’s Disney and Universal trip. The fact that Holiday World exists in my state makes things a little better. In reality I’m lucky to live close to Kings Island and Holiday World. Heck even Dollywood is only a 5-6 hour drive away. It could be worse. But yeah, Holiday World hands down has one of the best water parks for a seasonal park. I’ve been going once a year for as long as my memory serves.

It really is a well done coaster, and I still think it’s right up there as the best ride in the park. And yeah, DK was a bit of a let down. My wife hated how rough it felt. I’m very happy I didn’t wait 2-3 hours for it.

The collapsible cup will be your friend at Epic Universe. We were very surprised and happy to see so many free water refill stations in the queues. Our only complaint was how slow the water flowed out of them haha.

Going to be interesting to see what happens in the months ahead. As for The Vortex area? My dream would be something like Stardust Racers. I know full well that’s not going to happen. But man is that a fun ride.

Hey buddy! Great questions! 1. We had Pizza Moon for lunch. It was our favorite food of the day. For dinner we were in Le Gobelet Noir, had the beef stew which was decent. Naturally had butter beers to wash it down. For a snack we had the viral Mac and cheese bread from Berk. It surprised us how good it all tasted! 2. It’s a tie between Hiccup’s Wing Gliders and Stardust Racers. Wing Gliders is so good, so fast and smooth. The theme and scenery are perfect. Stardust Racers at night is almost a life changing experience. The ride just gets better and better as it goes on. 3. We stayed at the Grand Helios Hotel which gave us our own special direct entry into the park and early access. I highly recommend it for that feature alone, even if the views from the non-park side are not good. We rope dropped an hour early (9am) and went straight to Donkey Kong. It’s easily the longest wait on average throughout the day so it’s a good idea to get it done first. Then we went straight to Battle at the Ministry. We managed to get those two rides done before 11, which gave us the rest of the day to explore. 4. The park according to Universal “closes” at 9pm, but they’re actually keeping the whole park and rides open until 10. This is the time to get in the big roller coaster rides. The wait times for us was almost walk on. From 9-10pm we rode everything we wanted to. Excited for you! I can’t wait to go back already to Orlando!

Took my family down to Florida for a 10 day Disney/Universal trip and saved Epic Universe for our last two days. It is a beautiful, and true to its name epic park. It has some flaws, but I think over time it will grow to be one of the best parks out there. I will warn those who plan to travel down: be prepared for lots of exposure to the elements. It’s a new park, so the trees are very young. That means no shade in a lot of places. The summer sun is very unforgiving for those who don’t have a tolerance for it. Nintendo World is stunning but especially lacks in shade. Prepare for rain! One major downside to the park is the fact that lightning shuts down pretty much all rides in the park except for Mario Kart, Monsters Unchained and Battle at the Ministry. Keep that in mind for those afternoon storms during the rainy season. For our trip, we attempted to ride Stardust Racers and Hiccup’s Wing Gliders throughout the day and each time lightning would shut them down. I had almost given up hope when miraculously right at the final hour of operations they reopened them. Hiccup’s Wing Gliders might be for family riders, but it deserves a seat in the world class section of roller coasters. It is simply one of the most fun rides from start to finish. And Stardust Racers? You guys have to ride it at night. It makes the entire experience much more impactful. One of the best night rides of my life. The trains glow and sparkle, so as you’re racing you truly feel as if you’re in a powerful dance / ballet with the other train. Simply magical!

I'm a bit biased being a Hoosier, but man does Holiday World rock the socks off of events like this. I'm very thankful my state has a park like this. I'm thankful for KI being so close as well of course!
