I just thought, "Did Terp really just use the word 'peeps'?" Then I realized it was Peeps not peeps. And all was right with the world again.

Since it still didn't operate today, I'm starting to wonder if maybe Drop Tower will get a fresh coat of paint before weekday hours start up. It kinda sticks out now with it's fading colors and 90's checker board look. I know they are two completely different machines, but it only took a few days to repaint Delirium so hey who knows.

I got in 10 rides today. When we left the park the line was down to 30-45 minutes. The ride ops were really busting their butts. Pretty amazing for the second day of operation and first Saturday of the season. I won't be able to add much to what has already been said. Banshee is an amazing ride. It is probably the most complete coaster I've ever been on. Meaning from beginning to end it is exciting. Absolutely no dull moments. Kings Island really hit this one out of the park.

Completely agree. I understand that KI wants to make the money from Fast Lane and Fast Lane Plus, but the crowds were so bad today that I think it should have just been a free for all - especially on Banshee. It's even more unfair that Fast Lane people were allowed (who in the world was in charge of handing the shirts out?) to grab more than one shirt. Shame on everyone involved! On a side note, I told my wife that they need to install a sensor at the Fast Lane entrance so that when people walked in, it would trigger a "cha ching, cha ching" sound. It's kind of amazing to watch and estimate how much free money KI rakes in with the whole Fast Lane thing. They got my $80 for a Fast Lane Plus tomorrow. Cha Ching. I think my heart stopped for a moment today when Banshee went down for a little while not 10 minutes after I purchased my Fast Lane Plus online.

How's the Fast Lane line for Banshee? Just curious how well it's moving with the regular line being so long.

While I would not turn down VIP status if Kings Island bestowed it upon me, I am choosing to not attend media day. I wanted my first experience with Banshee to be on opening day with the general public. Just my personal preference.

While I would prefer ambient spooky noises and maybe the occasional Banshee scream, I think one contemporary song that would fit would be The Lightning Strike (What If This Storm Ends?) by Snow Patrol.

I would be shocked if it wasn't. Mainly b/c they spent the time to make the prop last season, it would be wasteful not to include it amongst the tombstones for the ride (unless they just shipped it to Terpy and gifted it to him, which would be pretty cool as well)That would make one heck of a lawn ornament.

When was this? Last summer I couldn't find any normal looking cargo shorts with zipper pockets. I looked at Kohls, Meijer, Old Navy, Gap, etc.Just this year at Kohl's. They are Lee Dungarees. There is just one zipper pocket that is a little hidden over the right cargo pocket. Otherwise they just look like regular cargo shorts. The one pocket is big enough for my phone, keys, and wallet with room to spare. Yes, I have already tried out my attire in preparation for opening day.

I was very excited when I found some normal looking cargo shorts at Kohl's that had zipper pockets. No more frantically feeling my pockets midway through a ride thinking my phone, wallet, and keys slipped out. Wal-Mart also has some this year but the pockets aren't nearly as deep .

I wonder if they test out the Speed-Rail by getting a 10 year old to swing from them like they're attempting the uneven bars at the Olympics.

I remember the first year we got Fast Lane for Cedar Point was a little intimidating. People really didn't know what it was and they were not happy with us "cutting in front of them". Raptor was especially bad. I think enough people know what Fast Lane is now though and it really isn't as much of a problem.

The only time we bought the day of was the first year of Fast Lane and it was early in the year so really not that many people knew about it. Last year when my aunt came to town we bought Fast Lane Plus for Kings Island the day before for the Saturday of Independence Day weekend and had no problems.

I'm guessing it will still be pretty crowded even though that's not the holiday weekend this year. Lots and lots of class trips during the week and that'll be the first weekend out of school for a lot of kids. When we have gotten Fast Lane we waited until a day or two before our trip to buy it. That way you can check the weather and make sure it's not going to be a complete rain out type day. My brother and I always get Fast Lane for our one Cedar Point visit a year and have never regretted it. We figure if we're only going once we better make sure we get our fill of rides while we are there.

Now that Don is back maybe, just maybe, if we're really really nice we can get him to post a good long video of Banshee testing. Please?

I'm a little more optimistic. In fact, I already have some guys working on my Mario Kart themed go-kart track at this very moment. Also, when I get my billion dollars from Mr. Buffett I'm going to fill up a swimming pool with 10 million dollars in pennies so I can dive into it like Scrooge McDuck.

Just think how different that area is going to look in a few weeks when grass starts coming up (Assuming they are planting grass around Banshee). We've been looking at the same barren dirt ground for nearly 2 years. I can't wait!
