  1. Plus, UW has pulled their models for many states due to new social distancing variables because of states opening up. There’s likely a second wave coming.
  2. That’s going to be a mess. One can’t do temperature checks, as asymptomatic carriers won’t be detected. This virus is like nothing we’ve ever seen before, so their plan needs to be more refined.
  3. Here’s another area that could be of concern, AC units. Many rides and stores have them. Check out this image from Business Insider showing how 1 affected individual causes a mass outbreak at a Chinese restaurant.
  4. If they had gone with the Schwarzkopf, would it have the curved lift hill?
  5. CF’s plan would be solid only if there wasn’t a second wave that is likely to follow in late-summer to fall.
  6. Let’s face this reality: theme parks, zoos, and museums will all open up when there’s no risk for high-risk individuals to visit with COVID-19 precautions in place, or a vaccine is found or approved. If a place were to open before high-risk individuals are safe to go out, it would be an absolute disaster. Not only would it facilitate the spread of COVID-19, but high risk individuals with prepaid tix and passes would visit, and could contract condition through asymptomatic individuals.
  7. They are not worthless for mild cases, but for severe cases they make no difference.
  8. Yeah, but they are worthless when there’s no immunity able to fight off the virus.
  9. This is being talked about because some members of are claiming it’s “essential”. The thing we need to realize is, the faster we comply and follow CDC’s and state’s recommendations, the quicker we can beat this virus!
  10. No, more like late July early August if they do. But then, would it be the financially better option to open?
  11. Absolutely, the fact that people continue to think riding a new coaster is more important than the 22,108 people that lost their lives and their families, is absolutely astounding.

  13. The Quebec government is calling for all festivals and public sporting and cultural events in the province to be cancelled until Aug. 31. Several government departments issued a joint news release Friday, saying that the cancellations must take place in the “context where certain health measures put in place to protect Quebecers from COVID-19 will have to be respected in the longer term.” Tourism Minister Caroline Proulx, Culture and Communications Minister Nathalie Roy and Isabelle Charest, the minister responsible for education, made the announcement. “This directive has been issued considering the evolution of the COVID-19 situation in Quebec and the need to respect in particular the guideline of a physical distance of two metres for an extended period,'' the ministers wrote. To offset the impact of the pandemic, the Quebec government is “planning and exploring various forms of accompaniment and support for festivals and events that it finances through its departments and their programs.” In short, LaRonde’s done for the summer.
  14. Pools in Covington won’t open this summer. Link: https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2020/04/09/covington-pools-not-open-summer/5122673002/
  15. There’s a big question, because apparently people tested negative, then tested positive a few days later. Could be due to bad tests.
  16. Nagashima Spa Land did. Apparently, it didn’t work because of asymptomatic individuals.
  17. Do you really think that theme parks are going to be the first things to open? Honestly. Here’s the thing people get within 6 ft to check restraints, give food, long lines, etc.. Theme parks are likely among the last things to open.
  18. Universal Studios Orlando closed until at least May 31st.
  19. Holiday World now projects June opening. That opening date would be past Holiwood Nights event.
  20. Here’s the catch-22: all passes are sold as the same product with same terms and conditions in two different countries. I’m curious if they are different products.
  21. So what happens if a Knotts passholder took a trip to Carowinds or CP in August and renewed their platinum pass there to get a free FLP. That could open a whole can of worms.
