  1. “This ship is unsinkable” said the passengers of the RMS Titanic after the ship hit an Iceberg. Sorry, for the rude metaphor, but it shows how ignorant people were/still are of the unfolding catastrophe with COVID-19. We need to be extremely strict as a community in enforcing it. One blogger is currently getting slammed on twitter for prioritizing a visit to a park they’ve hadn’t visited in “a few years” over public safety.
  2. Oh they absolutely will cater to the customers, as companies in previous pandemics have done. One way they could do it is add a coaster. CW added Time Warp after the last Coronavirus.
  3. They can’t, minor labor laws. Another huge concern with the virus, is that the hospitals won’t be able to handle a massive pandemic. Hence it’s important to flatten the curve as much as possible.
  4. It’s a classic Monte Carlo problem.
  5. Sadly, I fear there may be. If anyone is thinking it’s a joke, it’s not. This will destroy families, kids will be raised by single parents, or lose multiple grandparents. If you read about 1918, the stories are extremely terrifying: parents dropping dead (often due to pneumonia), spouses snapping under the stress and heartbreak, and their adolescent children left to fend for themselves.
  6. Most of 1918’s outbreak occurred within a 4 month window. However, given the insane spread, we may be speaking of August at the latest.
  7. Hopefully nobody was in that crowd was asymptomatic. This is a great article about social distancing: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/world/corona-simulator/?utm_campaign=wp_main&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook
  8. So in best case scenario, expect this to be over by mid to late June. (Source: https://www.wtol.com/mobile/article/news/health/coronavirus/coronavirus-impacts-expected-for-3-months/65-23133e62-f2cf-49e9-a7c1-8b9ae1136b02) Interesting to note, that assumes everyone knows when they’re infected, and the regularly quarantine according to CDC’s regulations. Here’s the rub: some are infected without showing symptoms, and some break quarantines as they feel they are invulnerable (see Rudy Gobert). Either due to social distancing or vaccines, the pandemic will end. If it ends through social distancing and regular quarantines then expect it to be done by August. Otherwise expect it done by 2021.
  9. Yep, and this is a life or death scenario for the scores about to be infected by the virus.
  10. We are weeks too late, and not effective enough.
  11. Well, in 2 weeks, US will be exactly like Italy, mark my words. The rate of transmission is increasing at an exponential rate.
  12. Disney just ended the current college program for spring-summer term. That gives a good indication this will be a long shutdown.
  13. I know that. I was referring to the devastating outbreak that wiped out millions.
  14. Looking back on records, the 1918 Influenza (commonly referred to as the Spanish Flu) lasted over a course of three years. However, the initial outbreak occurred over several months.
  15. Universal Studios Hollywood will be closed from the 14th to the 28th.
  16. Ah, my bad. I got a bit confused.
  17. Dude, a maintenance guy on one of Disneyland Paris’ attractions picked up the virus.
  18. 4 cases in Ohio, one of them a case of community spread.
  19. Disneyland Paris workers were tested, and the results showed they had the coronavirus.
  20. Somebody probably was referencing an illegal drone.
  21. Can we not talk about this. I don’t want the surprise spoiled.
  22. This is the current state of KIC. I’m annoyed, as well as others, that several members of the site continue to believe and push the notion that flying over the park is appropriate.
  23. I know it wasn’t from a KIC member, but a KIC member brought it up by posting about it, giving the rule breaker what they wanted.
  24. It was shared by a member. Someone saw the post, thought it was a good idea to post it on the forum, when site regulars have been pleading with enthusiasts not to break the rules.
  25. I’M DISGUSTED AT HOW MANY WAYS KIC AND ENTHUSIASTS MANAGE TO BREAK RULES. THE PARK LAID OUT VERY SPECIFIC RULES, AND WE COMPLETELY FUDGE IT UP. Note, I’m not using caps out of anger, but rather to draw attention to a single point everyone misses, we really need to respect the park. Honestly, we love the park so much that we have our own site discussing the park, but unfortunately, some get so obsessed they need to break rules to feed their greed for information. Mods, @IndyGuy4KI, is there anyway we can do a zero tolerance policy?
