Memories of Hanna-Barbera Land
My fondest memories include the Flintstone Boulder Bumpers, the Scooby Doo rollercoaster, the Enchanted Voyage (before the Smurfs), and the KI & MVRR when it had operating characters. And also the memorable vine tunnel.

Ark Encounter Contract Signed
That only proves what they Bible says. The Bible doesn't say anything about hating homosexuals. The article also says nothing about how Ken Hamm or Christians hate homosexuals. And I noticed that you stopped the quote there instead of going on with the rest of what was written. Nice job of cherry picking. Moving along since this is turning into a religious debate, I'm going to contribute some money to the Ark Park because I would like to see it built.

Ark Encounter Contract Signed
Actually, in BeastFan11's last post, it is equating Hitler's hatred of the Jews to Ken Hamm's "alleged" hatred of homosexuals, which is not even proven.

The last 1980 Kings Island home video I can make.
I love these videos. Reminds me of the times I went to KI with my family in the early years. Some of the best times of my life. Now, I want to make new memories with my son so he can look back and say the same thing.

Rumor: Gwazi to close in February
Terpy, of course Ryan is part of the problem. Was that ever in question?

But Ken Hamm is not spewing hatred of a race....

Xlerator Hand Dryers Splatter Bacteria
I saw Mythbusters do an episode on the explosion of water that occurs when the toilet is flushed. What really gets me is that you can't find a lid on a toilet in hospitals? Really? And I'm not saying that there isn't any truth to this, but at the same time you dry your hands with a towel, you touch the door handle on the way out and someone didn't wash, then it's a moot point anyway. Or the hundreds of doorknobs you grab every day. Or the phone you use after someone else.

Kings Island Chalk Drawings!
This is really awesome! Saw it on Facebook. I wish I had that kind of talent.

Xlerator Hand Dryers Splatter Bacteria
Worth Noting: " Of course, how you dry your hands makes little difference if you're not washing them in the first place. And according to a 2013 study, only 5 percent of people wash up properly after using the bathroom " If you were washing properly (including using warm water) this wouldn't be a problem to begin with.

WV: Wild Escape Park, No News...
Thrill_Biscuit, you always come through with something that just makes me laugh. Hard Rock Park WV? Except HRP was actually built.

1980 home video Speed Buggy and Wild Animal Safari
I loved the Tiques. Maybe we need to start a bring back the Tiques thread. Every park should have this kind of attraction. Great family attraction.

1980 home video Speed Buggy and Wild Animal Safari
Great videos. I enjoyed taking a look back on my childhood memories of KI. Screamin' Demon was my first for launching, looping, and backwards coaster.

Ark Encounter Contract Signed
That's what I'm saying. They can't expect the tax incentives if they are going to choose to run the Ark Park in the same way as Answers in Genesis in regards to hiring practices. I also think that they are wasting their time with a lawsuit. If they want to do the hiring in the same fashion as AIG, then they are going to have to rely on private funding. I'm sure that they will achieve their goal. I also do not see where this has taken an extremely long time to raise the capital for the Ark Park. When you rely on private donations, it is definitely going to take considerably longer to achieve financial goals. I can say this from experience.

As far as hiring goes, with the type of business this is, a non-profit religious organization, they are permitted to hire whomever they choose and set the criteria for employment. It doesn't violate any federal law. It only keeps them from receiving the aforementioned tax breaks.

I have no doubt that the park will be funded, whether or not they receive the tax incentives.

Carowinds will be investing $50 million in the next three years!
I have a question. Has anyone been on both an Intamin and B&M gigacoaster here on this site? If so, how do the rides compare? I've only been on Millennium force and I like it. I think it has some good floater air time and I dig the overbanked turns. Would like to experience a B&M giga. Did you hear that KI?

Tony Clark: "major announcement on 9/2 at high noon"
I'm just curious if any work has begun on the station and if so, are there any pics out there of said construction?

Biker Rides Dirt Bike on Roller Coaster
Pretty cool, but let's see him on an impulse coaster track, LOL!

Bavarian Beetle Photo
The only Pavillion in Myrtle Beach now is very small with a few flats. They had a small coaster there in 2011, but when I went last summer, no coaster at all. However, a traveling carnival popped up and my son and I rode a Wild Cat type of coaster, which was expensive. Heck, I wouldn't call it a Pavillion at all.

Bavarian Beetle Photo
I really enjoyed the Bavarian Beetle as a kid myself. I want to say that I think I rode it before The Racer. Something about The Racer terrified me whereas BB did not. It was a fun ride, as much as I can remember, which is very little. For the most part, I liked the downward spiral the best.

Worlds First Polercoaster
I'm not expecting CF or the SF chain to start looking at these unless they would be cost effective. Not sure that they would want to drop the kind of capital on building anything like this.

Son of Beast 2.0, maybe you could get a loan from Dick Kinzel. I hear he has lots of nickels.

Rides Kings Island Should Have - Thread
Man, I have heard a lot of great suggestions here. Other than the RMC'ing of any wood coaster, I really wouldn't mind any of them. I particularly like suggestions of family rides that all ages can do. With a 5 year old in tow, I want to be able to share as many ride experiences as possible. Having a son has made amusement park total experiences #1 for me. I have begun to enjoy the things that I had kinda left behind and forgot how enjoyable the total experience can be. That's what good memories are made of. It reminds me a lot of the family fun that we had back in the 80's going to KI annually.

"Fresh Horses" 1988 movie filmed at Kings Island
That will make all the difference in the world when selecting a movie. "Wild Horses", I believe was a song in the movie Silence of the Lambs.

"Fresh Horses" 1988 movie filmed at Kings Island
I have never seen this movie. Is it worth the watch? Keep in mind, I loved some of the movies that Molly Ringwald was in like the Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. I think it's an interesting find for sure Ryan.
