That makes sense railrider, that it was a flaw in construciton, not in the design itself.
-
Harvester, I was just saying that if it is a design flaw, then the designer would be the one being sued, unless someone altered those designs. It's not a matter of biting the hand that feeds.

I don't see how those people could possibly like the old water park over the new. WWK is really good. HH was, meh. Anyhoo, I could see some other coaster leaving first before X Flight or Dominator. Those are the two best steel coasters in the park.
-
Yeah, post it please. I am interested to see it. So, then if they don't sue Stengel, then it has to be whomever altered those designs. Would Stengel still want to take credit for a coaster whose design was altered from what he submitted? Because he is still claiming SOB on his web site.

The Beast backwards? Ehhhh, no. Doesn't sound good to me at all.
-
I might have to take them up on this.

If design was the problem, wouldn't they be suing Werner Stengel since it was his company that designed it? I still say design is not the problem.

PKI Earns International Awards!

^I was going to say the same thing, reclaimer. It doesn't surprise me that CF would drop Winterfest since they had to quickly get into place. -
PKI Earns International Awards!

That's awesome. Did you see where KI won two awards for their entertainment at the IAAPA show? I'm just sorry I didn't catch a show this year. -
I thought it was just me.
-
Ok, I can't tell if there's track on the lift hill or not in that photo in the link I provided. Is that wha'ts supposed to be missing?
-
Pointbuzz. Seems that our fearless leader, Dick Kinzel, has been inducted in to the IAAPA Hall of Fame. Also, it seems that the awards for entertainment have been released. PKI took two awards. IAAPA Awards

They are also saying the same thing over at Geauga Lake Today. Don't know if it carries any weight or not. There's a pic at the bottom asking if you notice anything missing. I'm not sure what they are talking about, so anyone see anything missing?
-
Actually, this would be the first suspended coaster. It didn't last but for ten days. Notice how different the track was. This pre-dates The Bat. Apparently, Stengel was involved and then pulled out because he knew the forces would be too strong and warned the company Messerschmitt who then ignored his warnings.
-
Interesting. Any idea when they were there?
-
Great pics, Dane and Ronny! This helps a little with those off-season blues.
-
Didn't hear about that two weeks. If that's the case, then this may be the worst year for it yet.
-
Good luck! Let us know what happens!

As far as investing in a park, I would personally take SFMM. It has a great collection of coasters. All you need is the capital to get them in good running order and remove Flashback. All MM needs is some more family friendly rides and they would be more like Cedar Point. There's no reason you can't have an extreme coasters park with family type rides mixed in.

Cirque Dreams Debuting at SFoT in '07
KIBeast replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Sounds good. As long as it's a decent three ring circus, I don't see why the GP won't go for this kind of show. -
Great TR Avatar! Nice vid! I'm already thinking about how great a TR from next year's PKICentral trip is going to be. Maybe instead of all of us posting TR's, we should have something thrown together to commemorate the gathering.

Apparently, someone has been to GL and say they see no dismantling. Coasterbuzz X-Flight Removal Rumors

I hadn't really heard that Millennium Force is down that much. TTD has even gotten better this season.

what is the new ride for next season?
KIBeast replied to rollerocasterfreak's topic in Coming Attractions
What changes have we seen in their plans? I've heard nothing about any of the formerly Paramount Parks.
