I always thought Phantom Theater was in HB Land because basically it was a kids' haunted house, so it fit in the kids' area.

^Yes, you are the unofficial expert on the Hauntings(Halloween) of Kings Island. Sometimes, I may come off as an a-hole, but I really am trying to not do that. I often forget that the mood I'm in at the moment I am here affects how I read someone's post. I have probably jumped on a few people unnecessarily. I would like to apologize to anyone that I have done that to and I have also sent PMs to a few people explaining the same thing. I joined this site long before Coasterbuzz or Pointbuzz and this one has always been my favorite. People here are generally nicer and the mods are way cool. Some sites are just too strict with their moderating. And, some of the posters are like rabid dogs attacking new borns when you are new to their community. I have also made some good friends through some arguments, CombatStupendous being one of them. We went back and forth for about a week insulting each other and then realizing how dumb we were acting. So, a big shout out to Combat.

Interpreter, that is way too funny! I would like Cedar Fair to keep using the Paramount Story without the Paramount crap in it. It would still make a nice, serene place to get away.
-
Well, so much for that. I can't believe that someone else owns the rights to that video. How dumb was that? They must have paid to use footage of their own coaster. How embarassing.
-
I'm with CoastersRZ on this one. I wouldn't dare eat a crockroach. Disgusting little vermin. I also wouldn't appreciate people cutting in front of me because they ate a roach. If they paid, then that's another matter. If you're dumb enough to eat a crockroach, I don't think it entitles you to anything. Fear Factor is the dumbest show ever...next to Survivor.

Klockster, I too would also be willing to pay for a copy including shipping, the cost of the CD and then for the time you put into it.
-
I really don't see much similarities to either MF or SR. You have a different launch, low to the ground, inversions, theming, 95 degree drop and so on. It's really a one of a kind. If you are trying to describe it to someone else, have them check it out at the Cedar Point web site. You've got animations, pics, interviews, and a construction diary to boot.

You could realistically do a Phantom Theatre Haunted House. All you need are some actors to dress the parts and a few props.
-
I don't have it, but if someone on here does, I'd love to have a copy myslef. I would be willing to pay.

I voted for mental institution. Brings back memories of Michael Meyers in Halloween.

The only thing decent coming from Paramount this year is the We Are Marshall movie. Paramount is the king of dud movies.

The Future of Geauga LakeKIBeast replied to cstrwomann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News ^I agree that the algae looks pretty foul. Especially under Thunderhawk. It was so thick that a flip flop was just laying on top of the greenery, so to speak. Could be that it would float on water, but, it still needs to be dealt with.

The Future of Geauga LakeKIBeast replied to cstrwomann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News ^How true, Interpreter. Busch was losing money on that particular Sea World and it was only from the profits from the other parks that it existed for as long as it did. I love Geauga Lake. It has a nice collection of coasters and a kick butt waterpark. I think that their next move should be to clean up the old waterpark and bring in some better food. The only good food is over in WWK. If I'm spending the day on the rides side, I don't want to have to walk all the way over there for a decent meal. Then, they really need to address the roughness of the Villain and fix the trains on SuperVenom. After that, I would expand on the WWK side again, since it is the main draw to that park. In a couple of years, if attendance has gone up, then introduce a new coaster or flat ride. Sometimes people underestimate the draw of a major flat.

Maverick will be reavealed in 7 daysKIBeast replied to Mr.Son of Beast's topic in Coming Attractions I respectfully disagree Quickwind. I think this coaster looks pretty good. There's a lot of low to the ground action going on. Did you guys check out that in-line twist (or whatever it's called) that looks like you could almost hit your head on the ground? Not to mention the head choppers in the little canyons. It's about time CP installed another coaster with inversions.

Sounds good, Haunt Guy. I didn't really expect you to be able to talk, but I wanted to give you a shout.
-
Hauntguy, it appears that I will be making a trip to KI in October for fearfest. This will be my first ever Halloween event. I am looking forward to seeing what KI has in store for me and my friends. I will try to tell you what I'll be wearing as I would like to meet you since you are PKIC alumni.
-
So, Railrider, are you considering going on the PKIC trip? We'd love to have you on board. With this new coaster, this is going to be one kick @*# trip. Not that it wasn't before, but a new coaster always helps. I agree with an earlier poster who said that it probably won't be long before we see an Intamin or B&M coaster in the park. Who cares if it breaks records? Just give me a good ride. 2.5 minutes on Maverick sounds pretty good. Plus, with the theming on Maverick, there's really nothing to keep up. Except for the water squirt, the rest of the theming is static.
-
^Yes! That's what I wanted to hear. Why wouldn't Cedar Fair want the tallest, fastest, and only looping wood coaster in the world operating. I mean, they love breaking records.
-
^So, what is the difference you are trying to point out? I agree, Bowser. I want Son of Beast to re-open, much to the chagrin of the haters. I didn't get the chance to ride it this season and my trip just didn't seem the same. Coasterfreak, nice article.
-
^Railrider, wha happened to the wingwalker trains? In all fairness, I was saying that it was an aquatrax. Guess we are both terrible at figuring these things out. All I gotta say is, this ride will kick butt and this is perfect timing for the PKIC trip next year.
-
And now, we have this kick butt coaster named Maverick to break in. This is going to make my maxx pass well worth the money.
-
Thank you Dane and all who have contributed. This is going to rank right up there with my top amusement park visits of all time.
-
Gonna bump this up to see if anything new has developed.
-
Nice video. It was good seeing Son of Beast running. Almost brought a tear to my eye.
-
^It wouldn't go to waste if I had that amount of money! Great to see it up and running again. If a little wheel falling off is enough to close it for three years, I imagine an accident a little greater than that would shut it down for good.
