  1. Did you just say someone shot Santa...... OMG This is just wrong. That's hilarious. He ruined Christmas......and Halloween......at the same time!!!
  2. I seem to remember that Hilliard had a really good line back in the day. Not sure of their situation now or if it's too far away.
  3. I don't agree. If I had to pay separate to get into Haunt, I'd probably only go once. While it's included with my pass, I plan on going quite a few times since it's my favorite time to go.
  4. Great pics. I can jump in on the band/corps talk too. I played snare in West Carrollton back in the 90's. We had an okay band, but our drum line was great. I always thought Grove City had a great program and was one of the bands/lines I had to see at competitions or when we'd go to State in Columbus. I went to Ohio State out of High School and went to orientation for their band, but didn't go to try-outs because it's totally different than what I'd experienced in HS and wasn't what I really wanted to do. I liked preforming and with their band it's more about just keeping with tradition and playing Hang on Sloopy all the time. It's great to watch and see the tradition continue, but if your nephew wants to go on performing and trying new and inventive aspects of marching then the Corps should be where he goes. Sadly, after HS I didn't go to try out for any Corps but I followed them religiously and always loved the Cavaliers and Phantom Regiment. Regiment's New World show is still one of my favorites.
  5. I guess the only question about perks for next year that I'd like to know is whether Haunt will be included or not.
  6. And you can trim a furry Viking. Best bumper cars I've been on are at Holiday World.
  7. I'm going to have to go through the haunts yelling "Smurfy here! Smuuuurfy!" since everyone on the site will be working them.
  8. I hope they're faster. I love bumper cars and KI's are the slowest I've ever been on.
  9. Thanks for the great report. Kennywood is the park I'd like to visit the most if I could go to any park I haven't been before. All those classic rides.
  10. I've been around here a while and I don't really notice a huge step back than other years. There have always been the people that pop in during the season who don't spell adequately and mainly just want to argue. I find this most true during the seasons when there is a new ride because the park gets more attention so more people end up here. During years where not much changes it seems like the same core group of people hang out here and discuss more in depth topics. When it comes to something like the Firehawk death or the SOB injury topic; I just believe those are hard subjects to talk about because one post that seems insulting to a victim is going to start an argument then that argument will spread like wildfire. Give it some time and when the off-season gets here and it's pretty boring; that's when you'll see things get back to normal where the people who really care about the park and care about the people who post here will be in full force because they'll need to get their KIC fix.
  11. I haven't done Carnevil since it was in the Festhaus. Has it really improved since then? I saw it's had huge lines when I've been there since the location change, but I remember it was horrible in the Festhaus so I haven't gone the last couple years.
  12. Cool pics. That girl's giving you the evil eye in line for the Eiffel Tower.
  13. I lost my mind on Diamondback, but, in fairness, it really wasn't that valuable to begin with.
  14. I went to Atlanta for the first time this year (that is, when not in an airport) and my brother took me to the World of Coke. I agree, the Beverly was disgusting. I do remember trying another drink that was just as bad. After trying some of the drinks from other countries I had to hit the U.S. stand just to rinse my mouth with some root beer. I saw one kid going around and getting a little dab of every drink from every continent in one cup. I'm assuming he mutated into a giant freak-beast once he took a drink but we bolted before we could witness the results.

  16. I was there from about 5 to close. I was pretty surprised how empty it was too. Walk-ons for most of the coasters.
  17. I like AE's because of the shade and Indiana Jones music.

  19. Oh no, the old site, and even the newer one, isn't very good. I'd like them to model it more like CP's site. I loved CP's old site with the flash skyline of the park at the top with moving coaster trains.
  20. Really? I thought I was in a parking lot, not a studio lot. And don't forget, Paramount took out the gasoline smelling Antique Cars and let a lot of the great theming you're talking about go to waste. All this before our beloved CF took over.
