  1. Interview with a show that airs nationally. The reporter for the feature was off to the right side of the camera asking questions. Our Town Magazine just did a great feature on The Beast's 35th anniversary.
  2. Diamondback will not be part of the early rides lineup this year.
  3. We are having a fundraiser to be the first night riders, Scream for A Kid Again. As of today more than $75,000 has been raised for the Greater Cincinnati chapter of A Kid Again.
  4. How much worse than last year could it get? Diamondback gave 1,861,093 rides last year which represents the most rides given in one year on the tallest and fastest roller coaster at Kings Island.
  5. We pointed it out months ago the ride would have an adjustable trim in that area.
  6. The Racer is mentioned in this article of the business of building roller coasters.
  7. There will not be any re-entry during the event. Everyone participating will need to be checked in and ready to head back to Banshee by 8:45 p.m. We will be closing the parking tolls at that time.
  8. Soak City Dive-In movies will return this summer. The movie lineup and other details will be available on our website as we get closer to Soak City opening for the 2014 season.
  9. Scream for A Kid Again participants may accrue more rides on the world's longest inverted roller coaster during the two-hour charitable event than Media Day attendees may be able to do in more than eight hours.
  10. WATCH: First drop of Banshee featured on ABC 7 in Denver, CO.
  11. Hoping one day you do bud! Will you allow fans to take legal photos from outside the park and not make an unnecessary uproar on fansites? There are no issues whatsoever with taking photos and videos of the ride testing from off-property locations. Soon the passenger pickup area will open up for you to take photos and videos of the ride testing once the work that is being done with the marquee has been completed and the trucks and cranes are gone. We'll let you know what that opportunity becomes available. We have asked that unauthorized photos and videos of the ride testing not be embedded on the site at this time. In the interim, we have shared photos of the ride testing on our social media platforms for you to enjoy.
  12. The Beast was “unchained” in a steady downpour on Friday, April 13, 1979, for hundreds of media representatives from around the U.S. and Great Britain.
  13. ask Don, he is the almighty overlord when it comes to stuff like that. We have, and will continue to ask, that unauthorized photos and videos of Banshee being tested not be posted on this site at this time. We appreciate your cooperation with this request.
  14. Once again, Don has asked us to only link to the official release, NOT embed the map in the forums. It's all good! This year's park guide and map is the best one that we've had since I've been with the park. A lot more useful information is called out. As for the former Crypt building, it is not being removed. It's not in use Opening Day through Labor Day so it was taken out. It will return on the Haunt map in the fall.
  15. Despite enduring bone cancer, a child named Gabriel that you'll hear more about this summer, and his family enjoyed laughter, joy and healing times at Kings Island before losing his battle at age 6. Gabriel was A Kid Again at Kings Island. It was his favorite place on earth. The fundraising that you do to participate or the donations that you make to someone raising funds for the "Scream for A Kid Again" event will enable literally HUNDREDS of local children like Gabriel and his family to enjoy fun-filled events throughout the year. Each time one of the children with life-threatening illness and their families attend an adventure like Kings Island, or perhaps the ZOO, a Reds of Cyclones game, they're giving illness a giant time out! For those that participate in this event, you're going to remember this night for a long, long time and what it meant to Scream for A Kid Again.
  16. POV will be available ... to everyone that rides Banshee.
  17. We have just surpassed the $50,000 mark in money raised for this event! It's not too late to begin fundraising to take part in this fun, memorable and worthwhile event.
  18. It's good to see me, isn't it? No need to respond! That was rhetorical. Under 30 days until Banshee makes its public debut! We can't wait for you to come out and experience this ride.
