  1. If it's the most something has been done, it's a record.
  2. The park did announce this over the PA, website and Twitter.
  3. That would be the type of rider that might really want to avoid publicity and eternal fame. If the milestone rider doesn't participate (provide name, pose for photo, etc), I wonder if they'd pick 100,000,001. We will take a photo of the 100-millionth rider. Whether they want to provide us with their name is up to the guest.
  4. The single rider line was intended for guests who had no one else in their party that wanted to ride.
  5. More than 90 percent of the single riders on Diamondback were with groups of people who also claimed to be single in an effort to by-pass the line.
  6. It wasn't that complicated to keep track of the ridership of each of the rides in the park in the 1970's. Capacity for each train is 30. If a train had three open seats, a 27 went in the log for that cycle. There was a big push in the 1970's and most of the 1980's to pair single riders which helped the ride surpass 3 million rides given in a season multiple times including 3.6 million in 1976.
  7. The Banshee and Beast pages on our website have POV footage. We may add Diamondback and Vortex before the end of the season.
  8. We're on it with improving the mobile app. You'll see changes to the app in the foreseeable future.
  9. We've done a number of tweet-ups this summer including last night when we gave away Banshee posters. Done randomly and unexpectedly, we're getting different winners every time. As for the blog, a lot of the things you'll see other parks post in blogs in the news section of our website. Essentially the same thing, different name.
  10. Taking photos or video on rides can result in being ejected from the park and given a misdemeanor under O.R.C. 1711551. This information is stated in the Park Guide.
  11. Geez, I sure didn't have my wits with me last night... I think I was trying to ask about the 100 millionth Racer rider. If both sides are in operation, would the count alternate between sides? Blue and red first rows, followed by blue and red second rows...ending with the last rows? So, for instance if the count needed 4 riders to reach the magic number, does Red/unload side/front-row get the pick? And the 5th rider is Blue/unload side/second-row? Or maybe whichever side wins the race starts the count and numbers 1-30 are on the winning side? We have a plan in place as guests approach the station the day of the milestone ride so we'll know exactly who the 100-millionth rider on The Racer is.
  12. Don't have a split per color because each side used to have both colors but more than 70 percent of my 12,001 rides on The Racer have come on what is now the blue side. Rode Blue on Tuesday and lost.
  13. If there is an empty seat on a train, then it gets recorded as 31 riders.
  14. There would be a lot of unhappy guests if we cut the line to make that arrangement, and rightfully so.
  15. Rides with name changes are one continuous count. Firehawk's ride count is Kings Island only.
  16. The Racer will give its 100-millionth ride this season, Diamondback will give its 10-millionth, and there is a chance The Beast could give its 50-millionth. Don- how is Banshee set to stack up this year against Diamondback in terms of riders? I believe Diamondback got it's millionth in 2009 but thought it was closer to two mil? Diamondback finished its first year at 1.8 million riders. It gave its 1-millionth ride July 20, 2009.
  17. The Racer will give its 100-millionth ride this season, Diamondback will give its 10-millionth, and there is a chance The Beast could give its 50-millionth.
  18. We don't know where you are getting $26 from. The only two pricing options were $31.50 for admission for those that do not have a season pass, plus $15.99 for the picnic meal. We are getting the list from Tim at Coaster Crew of those who purchased the picnic ticket when registering to distribute a lanyard and picnic ticket at check in. Only those on the registration list who ordered the picnic ERT package will be eligible to participate in the event.
  19. To participate in the event you have to have park admission ($31.50 for Coaster Crew members of Season Pass) and the picnic meal ticket ($15.99). If you don't have park admission and the meal ticket, you are not eligible to participate in this event. Everyone planning to participate will need to have ordered the picnic meal when registering for the event.
  20. Only those who registered and purchased the picnic meal will be able to participate in the activities for the event.
  21. Big Noodle-fans should get their photos in while they can. The last chance to snap a photo of, or with, the Big Noodle at Kings Island is Sunday, July 13. The Big Noodle, emblazoned with the Kraft macaroni and cheese slogan, "You know you love it," is made of fiberglass and measures an incredible 20 feet long, nine feet high and weighs more than 2,000 pounds. Literally thousands of park goers have had their photo taken with the Big Noodle since its installation in May. It is not immediately known what may replace the Big Noodle on International Street.
  22. The building will continue to be used for Club Blood.
  23. Club Blood is not being removed.
