Two observations from riding DB. First, they've done a LOT of brush clearing behind the train station from when I was here Friday. Pics once WWC and train are open. Second, the DB splashdown pool is half drained.

My favorite train guy, I think is named Jay. He does it completely over-the-top in an almost gameshow-host manner. If you're going to do corny jokes at least really SELL it!

^^^we all really aren't sure about anything. Best guess is a GCI for me, but truly nothing would surprise me. Even seeing as much work as I have, I don't know where they're going with it.

They had gotten the backhoe out of the mud when I saw it yesterday. It was at an angle, but on its tracks. You kind of need to look at the background to see the angle, because my pic wasn't straight. There was a large pile of dirt at its back end.

The train is up there. Only "scary" things, possibly, depending on a child's age and personal fears, are the skeleton in the village, the bear, and the loud steam whistle. Peanuts Off Road Rally, which despite its name is just little cars going around in a circle, is probably the absolute mildest ride. Followed by Charlie Brown's Wind-up (baby swings going around in a little circle).

I think maybe someone higher up has given the train spielers a bit of a talking to, or possibly at least one of them has been reading this thread. Last night when I rode the train, just before the Rivertown station, he pointed out the construction and said "that's where they're rebuilding....* That's where they're building a new coaster. I don't know its name yet, I just work here." * he seemed to legitimately stop himself from repeating what they've been saying about rebuilding Son of Beast the past several times I have gone.

I have a young friend I made through Cirque who was acting as director of where we (his family, and a couple other groups of children and parents who are big fans of the show) sat during yesterday's shows. He wanted to try out sitting in some of the different locations where the performers come out and interact with the audience during the shows. Usually he prefers the fifth row center, where the two monkey/lizards come through a few times during the preshow. For the third show last night, we were all sitting left front. We left open seats next to the kids in the front row, because often the performers will choose such seats to sit in and "play" with audience members. I sat in the row behind, intending to get some pics of the shenanigans. When I realized it was close to the part where they come off stage to sit, I got my camera app up and ready to take pics of the performers with the kids. Suddenly, Mike (the one I used to refer to as Suspenders) was sitting next to me! I had the presence of mind to switch to front facing camera, and he immediately caught on and posed for a selfie! It's particularly cool because as I've watched the show, I'll admit he has grown into my favorite. I love this cast!

I went back and got a better look at the "table" and the tall structure next to it, after noticing the two seemed to actually be connected. They are. Unfortunately, without seeing it in use, I still couldn't figure out what it might be for. The bar at the top, as well as the vertical supports for it, are pretty spindly looking, or I would think it was a leverage point to raise something using a winch attached to the table. The table/structure is in the clearing behind the train station. You can see it best from about the second car of the train, parked in the station. It can also be viewed, distantly, from WWC's queue. Some of the piling work: In the background are sheets of, I think, particle board, spray painted in pink with the word "HOLE", I assume to keep workers from falling into the holes they already drilled. One actually says "H[emoji1280]LE" with a peace sign replacing the O, but I don't think that is a clue so much as a sentiment.

A couple women entered The Bat's queue just before me. One woman pointed roughly in Banshee's direction and confidently said "that's where Top Gun was!" Then there was some discussion about The Bat having been moved here from somewhere else in the park. After that she muttered a few times at different points about knowing she walked this queue path for /something/ before. I wonder if she ever figured it out.

They did have Fright Feast last Haunt. I don't know for sure how much it was full price (probably $13.99 or $14.99) but it was a $5 upcharge if you had dining. Also came with a single front-of-the-line pass, which was a great perk!

Well this is kind of interesting. There is some sort of tall metal structure next to the "picnic table." Just two uprights with a bar across the top (you can make it out by the orange tape streaming down the sides) I don't know if it has to do with the tree removal in some way or what. It looks temporary. No crews were out because of the rain so I had no chance to see it in any sort of use. Edit: looking more closely at the pic, it appears that it may be connected by diagonal beams to the table, near the base. Curious if I'll get to see whatever it is in use.

I'm here. Not much has changed since Wednesday that I see so far. I'm on the train at Soak City station at the moment so I have yet to see if they got the equipment out of the mud or not.

It's funny, I looked over the thread again and the fanciful comments about things moving make it sound a bit like I was pulling the OP's leg about the funnel cake stand. Seriously? They tore down the funnel cake stand just to rebuild it across the way? Why would they do that? There is something happening in Rivertown that necessitated the movement of the stand and WWC's entrance. We're not sure what yet, but it looks like it will be a new coaster.

One of these days I hope to witness you at the tubes. Do you like to use the blue tube? I've noticed it makes a satisfying retort after discharging. Kind of blowing raspberries at the riders after they already have been drenched.

And, Rivertown Funnel Cake stand was demolished and a new one built across the way from it. Congo Falls hasn't been touched.

I'm sure they also have them at the place others mentioned has a sticker in the window, the place on the path between Beast and the Eiffel Tower. I'll keep my eyes open but those are the only two I noticed so far. ^also, I need to make a stop by Aldi's soon!
