  1. Watching the guy from Theme Park Review ride it, I dont think I will have any issues fitting in the seats.
  2. When you take your son on a 7+ mile walk to calm him down, he goes full bore the whole time, and you cant get to sleep awaiting the park to open. Call me crazy
  3. And it being dark, I now see where the camera is
  4. Under Explore, to the right (see screen cap)
  5. I have been told the the metal ones will not operate if it is under 40F.
  6. Is it me or did the price jump on this? I am pretty sure we got this for around $30.
  7. Yay. The webcams are back and Mystic Timbers is running test trains
  8. Thats how i started off and it seems to be working. The last 2 weeks I have been taking my son out on walks (weather depending) to both aid the weight loss and get ready for the park. Each time we keep increasing the length. The last two times, we went over 5 miles with an average speed of 3 miles per hour. It also helps that my office is having a contest for weight loss. I have hit my target and am still leading.
  9. Pictures taken at Preview Night 2016 around 3:50PM
  10. I was going to give Wicked Twister a try in 2015, but it was down the whole time we were there.
  11. As long as they are not like Lightning Run. I was not a fan of those. Either way, I plan on giving it a try. We have a weight loss game going on at work, I am an leading with about 19 pounds. I figure if I can get away from the Walk-O-Shames on Drop Tower. I should be good on about everything. At least, that's my plan
  12. That happened to me 2 years ago. Turned out I needed to upgrade to the latest software, but my phone would not handle it.
  13. And you still check it every day to see how opening weekend looks like. LOL
  14. I think it is worth is. We got over 300 pictures in 32 visits. Sometimes the booth gets hectic (Banshee) but we have some really good photos and memories. I just wish that they would get Firehawks camera back
  15. Wow. They are on it. Just heard back and we are all set!
  16. In the same boat. Just sent the email.
  17. Holliwood Nights tickets purchased and rooms booked. Really looking forward to the night rides.
  18. Tickets purchased and confirmed. Set up for 3PM Beast Tour. And now, we wait
  19. Heres to hoping that this is all of the lights. I am hoping that MT is another awesome night ride and that DB stays fairly unlit.
  20. Diamondback at least twice (its become a tradition).
  21. Of these you have listed, heres my take on all of them: Firehawk: I really like it. Could I ride it all day, probably. Its got a unique restraint system that I am ok with, but others do not like. As for coasters, its is really unique as well with the positioning you have. Be warned though, loading and unloading takes the longest of list you have. Additionally, it is a definite loose article thief. I am hoping that they bring back the on ride photo. Overall, well worth at least one ride. (See picture) Vortex: There is already a thread going on about it. Personally, while the most picturesque, it is pretty rough. Once a day is good for me. (See picture) Banshee: I have done 6 in a row (ride, off, back through the line, repeat). Its a fun ride and one you should definitely ride. Sound like motion sickness is not an issue for you, so you should like this one. Drop Tower: A fun little ride, but has the tightest restraints in the park. If I fit better and can still breathe while riding, I would ride more (I am working on this, so we will see this season). Slingshot: I have not gone on this yet. Very tempting but I would only pay $5 for it. Mornings are your best time to get a cheaper ticket but I am usually across the park in the AM. Xtreme Skyflyer: Same as Slingshot, but I really do not have a desire to ride this. I am a big guy and ride with my son. I am not sure how well we would do on this. Delirium: This used to scare the crap out of me but now I love it. Its smooth and the wind is awesome. Plus, as you are rotating, every ride seems different. As for the ride that we ride the most, it is Diamondback. It is the right combination of height, speed, and airtime. About the only time I can be a little painful is in the rain. Add to the fact that it is an awesome night ride.
  22. Visually, I think this ride has the best presentation of all of them in the park. The open placement, all of the loops and layout, even the color scheme makes it look great. It is definitely a surprise ride as well. Watching it run and then riding it, you are taken by surprise as you think you know what is going to happen. That being said, I ride it a couple of times a year in the hopes that it gets smoother. Does it knock me around, yes. Do I know more when this is going to happen to lessen it, yes. Have a found the sweet spot on the ride yet, no. Will I stop riding it, no. My avatar picture is my family on The Vortex. It was one of the first times I took my son on a coaster and he has this "Bring it look", so it is always special to me in that regards. Unless something terrible happens to it, I would like to think that if they get rid of it, something else will be right behind it to fill in the spot.
