It was my first upside down roller coaster, and I didn't really enjoy it. I hated the corkscrews and I haven't been on a coaster that goes upside down since. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I follow the Instagram account: Coasterides. They post mainly super cool Kings Island stuff, and I wondered if it belonged to anyone here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Boo Blasters on Boo Hill or Scooby Doo's Haunted Castle
KatieF replied to MaestroJr's topic in Kings Island
I can't remember if I rode Scooby Doo, so I have to go with Boo Blasters. It's fun to laugh at. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
...which would be a tragedy beyond comprehending. A trivia question on FunTV? Really? Sigh. One of the first things Cedar Fair did at Kings Island was take out Paramount Parks quene TV system... Few cared. FunTV is supposed to be about sponsors and money. And SIX envy. The trivia questions are an afterthought. And show it. Not do anything with Racer for a long time? You mean like paint it? Not doing anything with it seems to have been the park strategy for quite some time. Many things lead to that conclusion. See Thunder Road. Or Rolling Thunder. Or Twisted Twins/Twisted Sisters. When coasters aren't painted or maintained well for a long time, bad things can happen. And do. I was being sarcastic. I was also doubting that they would remove The Racer. I would hope that they would give it a fresh coat of paint soon. Especially the tunnels that the trains wait in before going back into the station. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I highly doubt they'll do anything with The Racer for a long time. They'd lose a trivia question on FunTV if they did remove it.

I really hate to see empty buildings around Kings Island during the regular season, so I'd love to see something go into the old Crypt building. Personally, I liked the idea of an old mine coaster-- but I also agree with not wanting it to be total 3D technology and screens like many other parks have. To me, that's missing an extra spark that makes a dark ride special. But before another dark ride is brought in, I REALLY think that something needs to be done with Boo Blasters. I feel like Kings Island has focused on bringing new attractions to the park instead of just doing upkeep on their already existing rides. While I'm not a Peanuts fan, I wouldn't mind seeing Boo Blasters get updated to a Halloween themed dark ride. With the simplicity of the Peanuts cartoons, I think that it wouldn't be too hard to upkeep.

I wish they'd do something with Vortex. Last time I saw it in June, it looked terrible. It at least sounded better than it did the year before and stayed open the entire day.

I have mixed feelings about buildings being used only for Haunt. I think it's a waste of space, considering how little it would actually be used. But I digress.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This may be a stupid question-- but I've never been able to find Action Theatre! Do I have to go through Dino's to get to it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm way too chicken to go to Haunt but I love hearing everyone's stories. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I never got to ride Phantom Theater, but everytime I read about it, I wish I had. I'd love to see any pictures of the props being used! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't think The Beast needs to be touched. I think it's perfect just the way it is now. [emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

However, I think enough people go to Kings Island so word would spread quickly if it's a good coaster. KK's problem was because it was closed for years with rumors of reopening, and not many knew when it was finally open again. Sometimes the smaller coasters can pack a punch and appeal to many. Maybe I'm in the minority but I actually think the park could improve on some more family rides. I'm not really talking about just rides in the Snoopy park, but sometimes I wish more parks built roller coasters that were fun but not record breaking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm honestly dreading this announcement. I really don't want anything to happen to Racer other than a paint job. Even then, I don't think a paint job would deserve an announcement, you know? Last time I rode, I noticed how filthy the little tunnels you sit in before going back into the station are. There was clear vomit splatter, and lots of dirty handprints. I thought it was pretty clear that they weren't cleaned considering I had went really early in the season. I mean, and if they take out Racer, they'd have to update the trivia on FunTV and I think that sounds like a lot of trouble. [emoji39] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It still has the sticker from the gift shop on it. This was originally $3.99 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's US 127 yard sale season here in central KY and I couldn't resist this purchase. Not bad for a quarter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wish it could have two trains. The line moves super slowly, and actually discourages me from riding multiple times. It's a fun ride but not as fun if you have to wait 30+ minutes every time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I never had been to KK before this season, so I hate to ask-- was that under Mr. Hart's time there? Edit: I didn't like the wording I chose. Also, I wanted to ask if Thunder Run was too short to have two trains. That line is ridiculously slow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've reported a bakery once and I got free pie out of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just found it very entertaining. I considered sending it to Kerns Kitchen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can call it anything you want, but the words "derby pie" are owned by Kerns Kitchen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was at the park today and it was very crowded! Lines moved fairly quickly though but it was HOT! One thing I'd like to see at KI that KK has is the fans scattered around the park! Those are a lifesaver. Also, only thing I caught today that seemed a little odd is that their sign says they sell derby pie at the swamp themed restaurant. They didn't have any today, but unless it was official Kerns Kitchen...they can't say that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
