I wondered if before the fair they had to prep, but nope. It's not being rented out on these days or anything according to the calendar printed on their map. It's just closed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ugh! I was gonna go again next month after I spend some time in Waverly Hills but it looks like they're closed 6 random days in August! What theme park closes randomly through the week like that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd like to see something get done with Boo Blasters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm looking forward to it! I really enjoyed their coasters more than I assumed. It'll be great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did anyone who's a little fluffier have any problems riding Lightning Run? I saw a tall man get off because he didn't feel safe first time I rode but that's it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did read your post. It sounded pretty scary and I don't know what I would have done in that situation myself. Did the person say it to you on the lift hill? I do think it's a pretty rare occurrence though. The majority of people in a theme park are pretty sane and just want to have a good time.

I'm actually surprised it doesn't happen more often. I think it was more of a customer service issue than anything, but I would prefer to see singles be paired. It's absolutely a pet peeve of mine to see half of a train get sent off half empty just because someone was riding by themselves. Last time I went to Dollywood, they had a singles line on some rides so people could be paired. I wouldn't mind seeing that adopted in KI, and I don't think it would be too forceful because guests would be aware that they were going to be paired from the get go.

What KI Roller Coaster are okay for the decrepit?

To be honest, after riding a bunch of the smaller coasters a few months ago, I would say none of them. Even some of the kiddie coasters had rough turns that made my back and neck hurt. It's really not worth risking it. -
I'd love to see some new coasters there. I'd like to see a new coasters that's a little longer in length, as Lightning Run and Thunder Run are super fun but are over fairly quick.

I wonder if the exact total was named on that episode of Ghost Hunters. I never got around to seeing it, which is really pathetic as I am a ghost hunter and a lover of Kings Island.

I had a freaking blast today. The only thing that I would recommend skipping is the 5D movie. Waste of time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just got my picture taken with a sea lion. Now that's something cool! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lightning Run is one of the best coasters I've ever ridden. Which is a limited list, but it's great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You might find yourself pleasantly surprised.SkyCatcher is like WindSeeker, but actually a lot scarier. Breakdance is a relatively rare type of ride, well worth riding! Their scooters are identical to every other set of Larsons (including the ones at KI) but usually have a relatively short line. The Flying Dutchman is one of the original 1972 rides from Kings Island (yes, that specific one) and is worth riding on that basis alone. Raging Rapids is no White Water Canyon, but it's a solid rapids ride. Mile High Falls is decent. Its got a straight drop as opposed to the double dip you see on Congo Falls, which makes for a somewhat different experience. If you have time for a waterpark visit, there are some great attractions there, too. Deluge is a must! The two (major) coasters, as it happens, rank in my top 5 woodies and top 5 steel respectively. I have some motion sickness issues on rides that spin, so a lot of the flat rides won't be for me. I planned on riding the two water rides, the two coasters, the Ferris wheel, and the Flying Dutchman but I'm not sure if that will be enough to fill up 6 hours. I hope I am surprised! I would like a closer theme park, but I'm paying as much for a ticket as I did Kings Island but riding much less and I won't be in the park for as long as KI because my group for some reason isn't going until 4 pm. That's not the park's fault, but it is frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Going this weekend and I gotta say-- I'm not particularly excited for it other than the two coasters. I think the rest of the rides look kind of lame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks like I'm going to KK here in a few weeks for a bachelorette party. I'm interested Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe this is because I'm a weenie when it comes to the big roller coasters, but I have felt like a lot of parks are just out to build the record breakers now. I know that will bring the most revenue and attention to the park, but sometimes I don't want to see my life flash before my eyes on a coaster.

Ugh! Selfie sticks! Great! That's just what Kings Island needs. I bet the ride attendants are thrilled as well. Bad merchandising choice.

Banshee and Diamondback nominated for best Roller Coaster.

It's not my favorite woodie, but it's definitely up there for me. I voted for it as well. -
Posted by Wave 3: http://www.wave3.com/story/29289771/riders-safety-escorted-off-after-safety-mechanism-stops-kings-island-ride The picture is much less underwhelming than what I expected. The way the news reported it-- they had to walk down the entire lift hill, but really they just barely had made it out of the station.

I've just been once this year, but I'd like to return soon!

Then three is not free. Right? It's not "three and under." It's "under three." Cute rhyme, but incorrect. Which I could understand if it was a legitimate news piece, but... it's not... it's direct from the park. I don't even see on their website where it said children under the age is free.

Definitely sounds like an overreaction, but I guess in a way, I'm glad to hear that their safety features work well. Edit-- I mean, rides break down sometimes-- right? No one died or got hurt. Guess it's a slow news day.
